"Having breakfast without me, I see," an angelic voice spoke from behind.
Kim Hyejin, the sweet and loving sister of King Kim Taehyung, entered the room. She was humble, naive, and easily manipulated. Hyejin had a best friend, Park Yerin, the princess of Busan Kingdom and sister of Park Jimin. Hyejin had a big crush on the head soldier, Jeon Jungkook, but never confessed, fearing rejection.
Meanwhile, Park Yerin had a crush on King Kim Taehyung. However, now that the king was married, she was heartbroken and locked herself in her room. Kim Hyejin was worried about her best friend and tried to make her happy again. Jeon Jungkook had no interest in love, focusing solely on protecting the kingdom and serving as head soldier.
Kim Taehyung knew about Yerin's feelings but treated her like a sister, having no romantic feelings for her. He wanted to help his sister, Hyejin, find love, and so did the other boys.
Back to the story...
Kim Taehyung's POV:
"Not actually princess, we just started. Come sit here," I patted the chair next to me.
Hyejin questioned Jungkook, "Jungkook-shi, didn't you go on a vacation?"
Jungkook struggled to respond, and I explained, "Princess, let me tell you the truth."
"What truth, brother, and where's my sister-in-law?" she asked again.
I sighed and glanced at Jungkook and Jin. "My fiancée ran away with her prince charming, and I asked Jungkook to act as my bride."
Hyejin choked on her saliva, and I passed her a glass of water. "Calm down, princess."
"Brother, are you okay?" she asked, concerned.
"I'm perfectly fine, princess. I'm happy I'm not stuck with someone who doesn't love me."
"Oh, you're right, brother. You deserve someone who truly loves and cares for you," Hyejin said, smiling.
"You too, my dear little one," I replied, looking at her and Jungkook. Jungkook didn't notice me, but Hyejin did, her cheeks flushing pink.
Later that evening...
Kim Hyejin's POV:
I arrived at Busan Kingdom, eager to meet my best friend, Yerin. As I entered, Jimin greeted me warmly, and I made my way upstairs to Yerin's room. The sight that met me was alarming - Yerin looked pale and fragile, with dark circles under her eyes, and her room was in disarray. "What brings you here, Hyejin?" she asked, her voice laced with a hint of desperation, her eyes sunken with a deep sadness.
I approached her with a gentle smile, using my most persuasive puppy eyes. "I've come to share some wonderful news, Yerin," I said, trying to contain my excitement.
As I shared the news about my brother's situation, Yerin's eyes sparkled with hope, and her face lit up with a glimmer of joy. "Is this really true, Hyejin, or are you just teasing me?" she asked, her voice trembling with anticipation.
I reassured her, "It's true, Yerin. My brother told me himself. I wouldn't joke about something like this."
Yerin's face erupted into a radiant smile, and she flung herself at me, showering me with kisses all over my face and hugging me tightly. "I love you so much, babe!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with gratitude.
I laughed, trying to catch my breath. "Yeah, yeah, okay, okay. I get it. You're excited. Just give me some space, Yerin. I can barely breathe!"
