"So, Daniel. Did you know you could turn into a much bigger Titan?" Levi asked.

"Uh, no... I didn't. The ability is based on need, I guess"

"Well then. We leave in two hours to continue the scouting mission. I wish to move forwards for at least three days, then we can come home. Eight days total." Levi told us.

I blushed slightly as Samson took my hand. "And we haven't lost any people yet?" I asked.

"No, not yet. Nearly, but we sent three injured people home. We're down five people total."

"Okay. Dad, is that all?" Samson asked.

"Yes. You're free to go. Two hours."

We walked out of the tent, before sprinting towards the forest and climbing into massive trees. "Wanna carry on where we left off?" Samson asked, pushing me against a tree and pinning my arms in place, grinding against me. I nodded frantically and it was as though I had flipped a switch in his mind.

"And you didn't set off a flare to alert us of the abnormal?" Leigh demanded.

"I-I'm sorry" stuttered the other.

"Fucking idiots. Get on our horses. Leigh, can we go to the cadets running spare horses on the edge?"
I asked.

She nodded and the cadets got up onto the horses as we rode off to the outside of the formation.
After putting the cadets on spare horses, we went back to the center to continue the mission.

I saws Jean get snatched up off his horse by a titan on the way back to the center and I used my ODM gear, perching on the titans shoulder.

"Sorry sweetie, I promise this won't hurt!" I shouted, leaping up and spinning in mid air, swiping my pairing blades and removing the nape. The Titan dropped jean and I swooped down, grabbing him and landing back on my horse as the Titan fell. He climbed behind me quickly and we took off at a gallop, racing back to the center.

"What happened, Dan?" Samson demanded angrily.

"A Titan was about to eat jean. I took care of it and Leigh didn't notice." I informed him, speeding up slightly.

"You could have died, you fucking idiot!"

"Don't let your feelings cloud your judgement, dumbass. I was the top of the class in everything, and I'm a shifter. If anything, I should worry about you!"

"Alright brats, now isn't the time for a domestic. Battle it out later. Daniel, good job for taking care of the situation. See me later." Levi told us and I nodded, pulling ahead.

I saw black smoke and sighed.

"Permission to pursue?" I asked of Levi and he nodded. I sped up rapidly and dashed towards the source of the smoke as jean clung to me.

"Stay nearby and don't get killed." I told him as I engaged the Titan in view.

It had blood dripping from its mouth and there was half a corpse laying on the ground. Jean gasped and I ignored it, slicing out the nape and sliding to the ground with the massive, naked corpse.

"Dan! Over here!" Jean yelled as he galloped at me. I swung up onto the horse behind him and we regained Team Levi.

"Daniel, transfer to Samsons horse. Jean, find your place in the formation." Hanji told us and I jumped to Samsons horse.

I wrapped my arms around his waist and pressed my face into his back.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset you." I told him.

"Babe, don't worry. I was being silly." He replied.

I nodded against his back and we carried on riding aggressively.

Five hours of riding with very little by way of a break halfway through, we stumbled across an abandoned village from before the walls were built.

We all dismounted and put the horses in the stables, feeding and watering them before sitting down ourselves. We found the supplies stashed in basements and restocked our own supplies and the supply carts.

Samson, Leigh, me and a few other cadets were set the task of finding firewood in the nearby forest while everyone else set up camp in the massive trees that had been alive for thousands of years.

"Sams, come this way I think i found a big patch of wood." I hinted, dragging him off to a dark part of the woods and pushing up into the trees. I rested the torch in a branch so it wouldn't set fire to anything, before pulling him towards me and crashing our lips together.

"This mission is stressful and I need to work off some steam." Samson moaned against my neck, groping my crotch roughly.

"Dad, we've got a shit ton of firewood." Samson shouted out, going back to the main camp area.

It was divided into piles and thrown onto the roaring fire we had built in a clearing with the tiny shelters built on branches overhead.

I lay there shivering, desperately trying to warm up under the painfully thin blanket. I gave up and climbed up the tree a few feet, climbing onto the branch Samson was laying on. I unzipped the tiny door to his small tent and shuffled in.

"Babe?" He asked quietly, his teeth chattering aggressively.

I lay my blanket over him, before laying my thin bedding mat down next to him and curling myself up in his arms. He curled around me protectively and kissed my neck slightly.

"I'm cold as fuck and can't sleep." I told him.

"I know one way we could warm up?"
