"Mitchie! What happened? Are you okay? Are you hurt? Oh my god, baby." Mitch's mom said as soon as she walked into the office. "I'm fine, mom. Nothing's broken." He replied. She walked up and hugged him. "My poor baby." She said, hugging him tight. "Mom, I swear I'm okay." He said. She pulled back, wiping at her eyes.

"Okay... Okay, I believe you." She said, smiling at him. She then turned to me. "Thank you for finding him, Scott. And staying with him." She said to me. "It was nothing. I mean, why wouldn't I?" I replied. Skew smiled at me, walking over and hugging me. When she pulled back, she looked at both of us. "Come on, let's take you boys home."

"Okay, I'll be back in a couple hours. Nobody comes in this house. Don't die." Mitch's mom said, walking into the living room. She kissed Mitch on the head, before turning and doing the same to me. "I love you both." She said, before walking out the door.

I turned to Mitch and wrapped my arms around him, pulling him onto my lap. "Hi." He said to me, smiling. "Hey. I'm sorry." I said. He turned to look at me. "For what?" He asked me. "For not protecting you! I should've known better than to let you go alone after those guys kept looking at you!" I said, looking down.

"Hey." He said, making me look at him. "You couldn't have possibly known about it. It happened, it's over. Don't blame yourself for it." He said. I pulled him down to kiss him. "I love you so, so much." I said. "I love you more." He replied.
