"Oh wow!  Arvilla, it's nearly midnight!"

"Is it really?!"

"Yes, I better get going.  You get some rest and.. I'll call you tomorrow?"

"Yeah, we can do something!" Arvilla smiles and tries standing.

"No, you stay!  I'll see myself out.  Tonight was fun!" Robert kisses the top of her head and gives her a hug.

"It was!" Arvilla smiles then sighs. "Actually.. Can you please do me a favor before you leave?"

"Of course."

"Can you help me up?"

Robert chuckles.  Arvilla's sweet little swollen face melted his heart.
"Absolutely.  Give me your little hands."

Arvilla places her hands in his and he helps her stand.

"Ohh!" Arvilla groans.

"You okay?"

Avilla nods her head with a cute pout on her face.

"What's wrong?"

"I'm just in pain." She chuckles with exhaustion.

"I'm sorry."

"It's okay." Arvilla giggles. "I think I have a little baby foot in my ribs.." She scrunches her face.

"Oh my gosh!"

Robert's reaction made Arvilla laugh. "Do you wanna feel?"

"Yeah!"

Arvilla giggles and grabs his hand.  She places it on her belly and Robert feels the strong kicks.

"What?!  This is wild!"

"Aren't they crazy?"

"They're so strong!"

"They are!  That was Joe.  Right here.." Arvilla moves his hand down and presses it down as she makes a painful face.

"That's Heidi.  She is absolutely nuts!"

"Holy cow!  She is!"

"I can't believe they're almost here.
.. I just wish I could see Joe with them.. I wish I had him here for the birth." Arvilla's eyes tear up.

"Is anybody going to be in there with you?"

"I don't know.."

"Do you want somebody in there?"

"I don't know." She cries softly. "I don't think I should do it alone.. I don't know if I can do it alone."

"Come here, I'm sorry.  I didn't mean to upset you." Robert brings her close.

"No, you didn't.  It's been on my mind.  I just wish he were here.  I honestly don't know how I'm going to do this without him."

"He'll be with you, Arvilla."

Arvilla let's out a sob.

"Sweetie, breathe.  I am so so sorry you're in this situation.  I can really see the love you two had, and still have, and will always have."

"It was a love I never thought I would have.  Ever.  It's so special."

"That's amazing that you two had that, Arvilla.  Some people go their entire life not ever finding something so special."

"I know.  At least it happened.  People were lucky enough to know Joe Holden.. I was lucky enough to call him mine."

"Yes and you made so many amazing memories together!" Robert places his hand on her belly and says, "You made babies together!"

"Heh!  We did make some babies." Arvilla wipes her tears.

Robert smiles and kisses her forehead.
"I'd give anything to have what you guys had."

"You'll have it one day, Bobby."

"Maybe."

"You will!"

"Thanks.."

Arvilla giggles and pulls away from the hug.

"I'll call you in the morning."

"Just swing by and pick me up round ten.  We'll plan where we're going in the car."

"Alright, sounds good!" Robert smiles. "Goodnight."

"Goodnight."

Robert walks out and Arvilla locks her front door.

Robert sighs and turns to look at the closed door. "I wish I had what Joe had.. You."
