"Happy Birthday!" Robert looks down to Arvilla crying in his arms.

"Thank you! This is such a surprise!"

"Good, that's what I wanted!" He smiles.

Arvilla wipes her tears. "Come in." She then locks the door and walks to the couch where she sees Heidi almost falling off head first. Arvilla runs over and catches her before sitting her on the couch.

"That was a close one!" She laughs.

Heidi rubs her eyes then reaches for Arvilla as she fusses.

"You were almost out, little lady." Arvilla lifts her and sticks her pacifier in her mouth.

"Wow they're both so big!"

"I know." Arvilla smiles as she lightly bounces her daughter. "Heidi, look who it is!"

Robert smiles big and waves. "Hi!"

"Uncle Bobby!" She cheers quietly still trying not to wake Joseph.

Heidi doesn't show any interest. Instead she lays on her mother's shoulder.

Arvilla laughs and rubs her back. "She's tired, excuse her."

"Aw she's fine! I interrupted her beauty sleep. I apologize, gorgeous."

Still laying on Arvilla's shoulder Heidi smiles.

"Oh I see a smile behind that binky!"

"She's a flirt!" Arvilla chuckles as Heidi blushes and presses her face against her.

"She's so cute."

"Thank you." Arvilla smiles.

Robert took a moment to take in Arvilla's appearance. She looked stunning.

"Arvilla, you look incredible."

"Aw stop it." She giggles.

"I'm serious! You don't look like you had twins in your belly a year ago."

"You're much too sweet." She laughs. "I haven't even tried getting back to my pre pregnant weight. Taking care of these two is a workout on its own!"

"Well it seems to be enough!  Being a mommy of twins is hard.  I mean even your arms look more muscular."

"Hah!  Thanks.  Lifting them is quite difficult so I have bulked up a little." Arvilla giggles.

"It's the best workout plan." Robert says with a smile.

"Yeah." She chuckles. "So how long are you here?"

"I took two weeks off."

"Two weeks?!" Arvilla smiles.

"Two weeks!"

"Oh my gosh!  Yay!"

"Yeah, I'm staying at the-"

"Nonsense, you'll stay here!"

"I don't want to be a bother, Arvilla."

"Please!  You won't be!  Stay with me!" Arvilla gave Robert a smile and he just couldn't say no.

"Alright, I'll stay here.  Thank you, Arvilla."

"You're welcome!  It's gonna be so much fun catching up!"

"I know!  Do you have anything planned tomorrow?"

"I was gonna take the babies to the park.  Would you like to join us?" She smiles.

"Of course, thanks!"

The next day.

"Look at these two stumbling around everywhere." Robert says as the twins stumble around on the grass in front of them.

"I know." Arvilla smiles.

"I cannot get over how big they are and the fact that they're walking!"

"I know!  It makes me sad.  It's so exhausting, but I never want this baby stage to end.  I'd do it over and over again."

Robert smiled softly.

"I wish Joe and I had tried to have a baby earlier."

"Would you have had more?"

"Absolutely.  Like five!" Arvilla smiles.

"Wow!  Five?  You're brave!"

"Oh Bobby, I love this mommy thing so much, it's crazy!  And I would give anything to go on this adventure with Joe."

"I wish things would have been different for you, Arvilla."

"Thank you.. Though I suppose things ended up exactly how they were supposed to.."

"I suppose.."

Arvilla then takes a deep breath and smiles. "Come on, let me show you how much they love the swing set.  Their giggles must be what Heaven sounds like!"

The week went on and Robert ended up being a huge help to Arvilla.

"Look at you changing diapers!  I bet you just can't wait to go back to London." She chuckles.

"No I'm having fun!  Aren't we having fun, Joe?" Robert smiles down to him as Joe starts to pee.

"Joseph!" Arvilla gasps.

"Woah!  Little dude, that was almost in my mouth!" Robert laughs.

"I'm so sorry, Bobby."

"I'm just messing with him.  It's fine!  I've always wanted to be able to do this stuff so I'm enjoying every moment."

"Even this one?" Arvilla giggles softly.

"The pee is not the best, but it's still great to experience." Robert smiles.

"Well that's fair." She laughs.

"Oh I was going to ask you something!"

"Alright?"

"I was wondering if you wanted to go to dinner tonight.  I wanted to treat you to a nice evening out."

"Ooh that sounds fun, thank you!  I'll see if someone can babysit for me tonight."

"Cool." Robert smiles and looks down.

Arvilla laughs.

"What's so funny, ma'am?" He asks.

"The way you giggled and blushed.. and the way you still have my son's pee on her face."

"Oh gosh!" Robert wipes his face as Arvilla cracks up laughing.

Dinner.

Arvilla wore a navy blue dress and heels.  Her body looked stunning the way the dress hugged her curves.

Her hair was pulled up with a few of her natural curls purposely left down.

Robert stared at Arvilla making her giggle. "May I ask why you're looking at me like that?"

"You just look so unreal.  How did you get your hair like that?"

"I just clipped it up.  It's my go to lazy but still fancy hairdo." She chuckles.

"I like it."

"Thank you." Arvilla looks to Robert with a soft smile.

"So!  Another year in London?"

"Another year." Robert sighs.

"That's really cool that you get to travel like that for work.  I wonder where you'll go next."

"I kinda feel I need to settle down and try to create a home, you know?"

"I understand, Robert.  I guess moving around every so many years or months would have it's cons."

"Yeah.. I'd like to meet someone.. have a kid or two.  Then maybe return.  We could all load up and travel together."

"That sounds like fun!" Arvilla smiles.

Robert swallows hard and changes the subject.

After dinner Robert drove Arvilla to pick up the twins from Carol.

They were asleep so Arlo and Robert helped her buckle them in.  They then headed home.

"You got them both?" Arvilla asks as Robert lifts the sleeping twins.

"Yeah I'm good.  Will you just shut the door for me?"

"Sure!"

Arvilla then unlocks the front door and Robert places the twins on the couch.

Heidi stirred in her sleep.

"Shh, shh.. you're okay, princess."

Heidi opens her eyes and purses her lips.

"I woke you again, I'm so sorry." Robert spoke in a soft voice.

"Bob!" Heidi said as she lifted her arms.

Arvilla laughs as Robert lifts her and sits down on the couch.

"I sweepy." She pouts and rubs her eye.

"You're sleepy?" Robert baby talks.

"Ya!" Heidi fusses.

"Well rest your eyes, pretty girl."

Heidi sighs and looks around. "Mama!  Hi Mama!" She smiles and waves.

"Hi pretty girl!"

"Nigh nigh." She places her cheek on Robert's chest and shuts her eyes.

"Aw.  She is the sweetest little thing."

Arvilla smiles softly. "Thank you." She then slips off her heels and walks towards Joseph.

"I'm gonna put him in his crib and change.  Are you okay with her?"

"Yeah, we're fine." Robert smiles.

Arvilla smiles and makes her way upstairs.

Robert sat there with Heidi sleeping peacefully on his chest.

"You're a sweet little girl, Heidi.. I can tell you and Joe are going to have your mommy's heart.  Well your daddy's too I guess.  He sounds like he was a great man.  I hope I'm not offending him.. I'm trying my best to be as respectful as possible but.. man I love your mother.  I hope one day she'll be ready to love me too."

"Bobby?" Arvilla walks in.

"Arvilla!" Robert's eyes widen.

"You love me?"

Robert sighs.  He then places Heidi on the couch and stands.

"I'm so sorry.  I-"

"You love me?"

"I do."

Arvilla didn't respond.  She was in shock.

"I've never loved a woman more than I love you."

"Robert.."

"I know how you feel and I don't want to make things weird."

Tears fill Arvilla's eyes.

Robert takes her hand and looks deep into her eyes. "I've never met anyone like you.  You're beautiful, and you have an even more beautiful soul."

Arvilla looks down to his lips then back into his eyes as Robert inches his way closer and closer.

Arvilla then leans in and and the two fall into a passionate kiss.  Robert places his hands on Arvilla's body and she runs her hands through his hair.

Arvilla then pulls her lips away for a second. "I don't know if I should do this." She whispers.  Her breath hitting his lips.

"It feels so right."

Arvilla once again kisses him and moans softly.

Suddenly they hear Heidi's little voice. "Kisthes?" She says with her adorable little lisp.

Arvilla quickly pulls away and wipes the corner of her lips. "Heidi Ho.." She smiles softly.

Heidi looks up to her mother with a confused little face.  Arvilla lifts her and lays her head on her shoulder.

"I should go.. I'll go upstairs and pack."

"No.  No, you don't have to go.."

".. I'm sorry."

"It's okay.  Don't apologize.  It's late.. we should go to bed.  In separate rooms of course!"

"Of course.."

"Goodnight."

"Goodnight.."

Arvilla walks upstairs leaving Robert alone.  On one hand he felt incredible.  He just kissed the woman he's been dreaming about kissing for almost two years.  On the other he knew things would possibly be awkward between them from now on.  He loved Arvilla and didn't want to lose the friendship they've created.
