Sisters

"Joe Joe, put dis pwetty dwess on!" Heidi tosses one of her Princess dresses onto her brother.

"NO!" Joseph throws it on the ground.

"Joe I say Put It On!" Heidi shouts, picking it up and roughly placing it on his lap.

"Heidi Ho, it's time for bed, sweet girl.  We'll play some more tomorrow." Arvilla says.

"No Mama." Heidi nods.

"Yes, come on.  It's time for bed."

"NO!"

"Hey don't yell at your mommy." Robert says. "It's getting late."

"Fine!" Heidi rolls her eyes. "I sleep in mommy's bed?"

"Me too!" Joseph smiles.

"Sure." Arvilla smiles.

"An Uncle Bobby you sleep wih us!" Heidi says with excitement.

Robert looks to Arvilla and she shrugs. "Why not?" She chuckles.

"Well don't look happy!" Robert jokes and playfully shoves her making Arvilla laugh.

**

The twins laid down between Robert and Arvilla.

"Goodnight loves." Arvilla kisses them both.

"Night night mommy!  Night night uncle Bobby!"

"Goodnight!" Robert kisses their foreheads.  He then smiles to Arvilla and leans over the twins to kiss her lips. "Goodnight, mommy."

"Night night Uncle Bobby." Arvilla giggles.

"I hold you, mommy!" Joseph cuddles into his mother.

"Okay baby!"

"Now me need some peace an quiet!" Heidi says.

"Yes ma'am!" Robert chuckles and kisses her cheek.

The next morning.

"Arv.  Arvilla!"

"Hm?" Arvilla slowly opens her eyes.

"Look."

Arvilla focuses her eyes and sees Heidi laid out on Robert's chest.

"Aww!  Look how cute!"

"She's sweet." Robert softly rubs her back.

"Sometimes." Arvilla laughs. "Look at Joe."

"Got his hands all over the boobs.  I swear that boy is living my dream."

Arvilla laughs. "Bobby, I'm sorry we didn't get to do anything last night.."

"Don't worry!  This was pretty fun too." Robert looks down to the twins with a soft smile.

Arvilla smiles.  She loved this man so much.

**

A few hours later.

*Phone rings*

"Hello?"

"Arvilla, this is Francine."

"What did I tell you last night, Francine?"

"Wait!  I know what you said, but before I go back home I wanted to know if we could at least meet somewhere.. I'm sorry I haven't been there for the twins.  I'd like to see them for a few hours if that's okay with you."

Arvilla sighs and thinks about it for a moment.  She of course wanted nothing to do with Francine, however she was still Joe's daughter and she knows it would mean a lot to him for her to have a relationship with the twins.

"Fine.  We can meet at the park in twenty minutes."

"Great.  I'll see you then."

Arvilla hangs up and sighs deeply as she runs her hand through her hair.

"Alright, I guess I'll.. Hey what's wrong?  Why do you look so stressed?" Robert pouts and wraps his arm around her waist.

"Francine wants to spend some time with the twins so I told her we could meet at the park."

"Want me to go with you?"

"I don't know if that'll make it worse.. but I want you to go with me." Arvilla pouts.

"Okay, I'll go with you." Robert says with pouted lips.  He then kisses her.

"HEY!" Heidi shouts.

Robert pulls away and looks down.

"Don't worry about birth control, She's your birth control."

Arvilla laughs and nods her head.

"What do you want, Heidi?"

"Joe Joe not being my fwiend." She says in a low sad voice.

"Aw baby, I'm sorry!  I have something that will cheer you up!" Heidi lifts her.

"Wha mommy?" Heidi smiles.

"We're going to the park!"

"YAY!"

"With your big sister Francine."

"Wha?  No." Heidi nods.

Robert laughs.

"She say she daddy's girl.  I daddy's girl.  Not her!"

"You both are, goofy girl."

"No!" Heidi purses her lips and holds her finger in front of Arvilla's face.

**

Arvilla pushed the double stroller as she and Robert walked through the park.

"There she is.  Oh my stomach hurts, I'm gonna puke."

"Well at least we know you're not pregnant." Robert chuckles.

"Shut up, Robert.  Hello, Francine."

"Hello."

"Hello." Robert smiles.

Arvilla looks to him before Francine kneels down to speak to the twins.

"Hi you two."

"Mama?" Joseph looks up to find his mother.

"I'm here, buddy!" Arvilla smiles and holds his hand.

Heidi looks to Francine with the cutest little face.  She looked as though she was judging her older sister.

"It's nice to see you again, Heidi!"

"No it not!  And You is Not my sissy.  Kay?  You got dat, lady?"

"Heh!  I am your sister."

"No."

"We both have the same father."

"No he is MY daddy!"

".. He was mine first." Francine says in a cold tone.

"Sut up!"

"Heidi Louise!" Arvilla taps her on the head.

"It's okay.  Well.." Francine takes a deep breath. "Would you like for me to push you on the swings?"

"No, my Bobby do it." Heidi rolls her eyes.

Arvilla shakes her head as Robert chuckles.

"Of course I'll push you, Princess!"

"Yay!" She claps her hands.

**

"I done mommy.  We go sit me n' you ober there?" Joseph smiles sweetly to his mother.

"Aw, sure baby."

"Can I sit with you too?" Francine asks.

"Sure!"

"You no sit wih My Joe JOE!" Heidi makes a face. "Bobby!" She shouts. "Get me out!"

Robert lifts her and stands her up. Heidi then immediately runs to her mother and brother.

"Come!  We go home now." Heidi taps Arvilla's leg as she looks up to her.

"Heidi, stop it please.  Just come sit and we'll talk."

"But mommy!"

"Enough, Heidi."

Heidi crosses her arms and purses her lips.
The four then make it over to a bench.

Heidi realizes Robert stayed back.

"Uncle Bobby?  HEY!" She spots him. "GET OBER HERE!"

"I'm gonna let you four talk, Princess.  I'm right here." He smiles.

Heidi sighs and shakes her head. "Boys."

Arvilla laughs. "My Heidi sure has a unique personality, doesn't she?"

"She sure does.. But Joseph.. wow.  You remind me so much of Daddy." Francine smiles.

"Mama say I got dada's eyesh!" Joseph smiles and pokes his eyes.

"You sure do!"

"I got mommy's hair!" Heidi pulls on her curly pigtails.

"So you do..
So Joe!  Would you like to see a picture of your daddy from when I was your age?"

"Yeah!" He smiles and claps.

"I'm sure Heidi would like to see as well." Arvilla says.

"Hm?  Oh yes!
Look.  This is Daddy and me.. we were at the zoo.  Your mommy was probably in preschool at this time, right Arvilla?"

Arvilla rolls her eyes.

"Dada." Joseph giggles and points to the picture.

"You was soooo ugly." Heidi says.

"Alright that's enough you little-"

"Francine!" Arvilla says.

"Sorry!
.. I was a bit odd looking, wasn't I?"

"Ugly."

"Alright."

"My dada so hansome!" Heidi smiles sweetly.

"He sure is, isn't he Princess?"

"Yeah I lub him."

"Aw he loves you too.  Both of you."

"Yeah.. Not you." Heidi makes a face at Francine.

Francine sighs.

Soon it was time for Francine to leave.  Robert helped Arvilla put the twins in the stroller and Francine kneeled beside them to say goodbye.

"I had fun with you two today." She smiles.

"Fun!  Fun!" Joseph smiles.

"Can I have a hug?"

Joseph giggles and hugs Francine.

"Aw.. Thank you.." Francine closes her eyes and hugs him tight.

Just as Francine was tearing up she turned to Heidi with a soft smile on her face. "Heidi?"

Heidi doesn't say a word.  Instead she slaps her tiny hand across her face.

"Heidi!" Arvilla shouts.

"Heidi no like Old Lady who tinks she's my SISHY!"

Robert couldn't help but laugh.
"It's true what they say.  Sisters do fight like cats and dogs!"
