Lamaze Class
January 26th.
35 weeks pregnant.
"I'm gonna miss you, Bobby. The babies will too." Arvilla giggles and rubs her belly.
"I'm going to miss all three of you!" Robert grabs her bump. "But I'll be back for Margene's wedding"
"Yeah, I'm so happy you'll be there!"
"Me too, it's gonna be fun! And I want you to promise me something." Robert smiles.
"Oh goodness. What?" Arvilla laughs.
"Give me one dance."
"You do realize if I'm still pregnant I'll be too huge to waddle myself to the dance floor?"
"Then I'll carry you out to the dance floor! Please? Just one dance?"
"Alright." Arvilla smiles softly. "I'll save you One dance."
Robert chuckles. "Thanks! Now, if you have the babies before I see you again, I want you to know that you're in my prayers, and I hope you have the most amazing and easiest birth possible."
Arvilla giggles. "Thank you, I appreciate it, Bobby."
"Of course. You're a strong woman, Arvilla. You can do this!"
Arvilla nods her head up and down as tears fill her eyes.
Robert wraps his arms around her and Arvilla hugs him tightly.
"I'm sorry. I'm just so worried about everything.. The birth, taking care of the babies.. my recovery. Everything!"
"I'm sorry.. I can't even imagine how you're feeling right now, Arvilla."
Arvilla sniffles. "And then our anniversary is next week so that's on my mind as well. I don't know how I'm going to deal with it, Bobby."
"I'm so sorry, Arvilla. I wish I could at least be here with you.. Spend the day with your friends, please. Stay busy and celebrate! It's still yours and Joe's special day. He would want you to enjoy it."
"I know he would. Gosh I just miss him more than I could ever explain!"
Robert rubs Arvilla's back and let's her get it all out.
"He should still be here!" Arvilla sobs.
"Joe is still with you, Arvilla. When these babies come he will be apart of them. You'll get to hold a piece of him when you hold your children.
"I know.. Thank you, Bobby."
"Of course!"
Arvilla sniffles. ".. You go before you're late."
"I hate leaving you like this."
"I'll be fine. You just go and call me when you get home."
"I will. Have fun at birthing class."
Arvilla smiles softly. "I'll try. I'll let you know how it goes."
Robert gives her one more hug before he takes off.
Arvilla sighs and runs her hand down her bump.
"Just us again guys."

The next morning.

"Good Arvilla! Great breathing! Carol, isn't she breathing great?" Margene smiles.
"Yes! Perfect Arvilla!"
Arvilla gives her two best friends a mean look.
"It's just breathing , you guys. Stop acting like I did something good!"
"Honey, we just wanted to tell you how well you're doing in your first lamaze class!" Margene smiles and rubs Arvilla's belly with both hands.
"Well thank you but stop speaking to me like I'm a child."
"Okay, okay, we're sorry!"
Soon the lamaze instructor taught them a few different birthing positions.
"This one is interesting!" Margene chuckles at Arvilla who had her legs spread and her butt up in the air.
"I haven't been in this position since I got pregnant." Arvilla smiles, her face against the ground.
"Oh stop!" Margne laughs and smacks Arvilla on the butt.
"Ooh! And I haven't had a good slap on the ass since that day either! Thanks Margene!"
"You are a mess!" Carol nods.
Arvilla laughs and says, "How long do I have to stay in this positiOOOON!" Arvilla curls her body in.
"What?!" Margene's eyes widen.
"I don't know but it hurts!"
"Uh oh, do we have a mommy to be in some pain over here?" The instructor walks over.
Arvilla sits on her bottom with her belly in her hands.
"I've had braxton hicks contractions before, but not this bad! This was a sharp pain all along here." Arvilla softly caresses her lower abdomen.
"Why don't you relax and do some deep breathing for a few minutes?"
"Okay. What if it happens again?" Arvilla looks up with a worried look on her face.
"Then you should start timing them. If they stay five minutes apart for an hour consistently then head over to the hospital!"
"Okay.. Thank you."
"Yes, thank you." Margene nods.
The woman then walks away and Margene turns to Arvilla with excitement in her eyes.
"We're having a baby!"
"I don't think they're coming just yet. I might have just overworked myself. Or maybe it's hunger pains." Arvilla spoke with a pout.
"Are you hungry?" Carol asks.
"I'm starving!"
"Did you eat breakfast?"
"Yes.. I made myself something this morning. Which by the way I'm way too pregnant to be making myself all these meals!"
"Aw.. we can cook for you!" Margene smiles.
Arvilla makes a face. "Not you please."
Carol laughs and rubs Arvilla's back.
"I can make you some meals to freeze."
"Aw!" Arvilla pouts.
"Oh that's so sweet! Thank you!" She cries.
"Heh, honey it's okay! I can't imagine cooking at nine months pregnant with twins! I'll help you out!"
"You're so sweet." She pouts just before she gets yet another contraction.
"Ooh!"
"Another one already?"
"Yeah.. Wow, this hurts."
"Breathe in and out with me, Arvilla." Carol takes her hand.
Arvilla listens to her and breathes deeply until the pain passes.
"Good job, Arvilla! You feel okay now?" Margene asks.
"Yeah.." Arvilla looks down and starts crying.
"Honey, what's wrong?"
"I just have such great friends.. I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have you!
Not having Joe is the worst thing imaginable, but I'm so blessed to have you girls here to experience this with."
"Aw we love you, Arvilla!" Carol smiles.
"Yes and we love those babies!"
"Thank you. They love their aunties too." Arvilla smiles softly.
"You hear that? They love us!" Margene nudges Carol.
"They do!"
"Girls listen.. I have a question for you both." Arvilla nervously rubs her hand over her stomach.
"What is it, honey?"
"You can say no if you want. Please please don't feel pressured!"
"What's the question, Arvilla?"
Arvilla took a deep breath. She looked nervous but went on to ask her question.
"Will you two be in the delivery room with me when I give birth?"
"Ahhh!" Both women scream making the rest of the class turn to them.
"Arvilla we've been waiting for you to ask us!" Carol shouts as she and Margene hug her.
"Aw have you? I was worried you'd think it was weird or gross."
"NO!" Margene says. "We want to see these little babies enter this world! We're gonna be your coaches! I'll even bring a whistle!"
"Oh Margene!" Arvilla laughs.
"Thank you both so much! I feel so much better knowing I won't have to give birth all alone."
"Even if you wouldn't have asked us, we would have still gone in!" Margene laughs. "We wouldn't have let you give birth alone!"
"Thank you! Oh gosh." Arvilla takes her friends' hands and smiles. "I can't wait to cuss you out as these babies rip through me!"
Both carol and Margene laugh.
"I can't wait to witness this miracle!" Carol says as they share a group hug.
**
The three women had a lovely day together.
Around 7:00 they dropped Arvilla off at home.
"Arvilla, are you sure you're feeling okay?"
"Yeah, Margene and I can stay with you if you're not feeling well."
"I feel fine now." Arvilla then looks down and places her hand on her stomach. "These two aren't coming out anytime soon. Just wanted to play a trick on Mommy!"
"Aw! Well soon they'll be here.. keeping you up all night long!" Margene says.
"They do that now!" Arvilla laughs. "I better go, I have to use the restroom. Thank you girls again for a lovely day."
**
Arvilla took a shower, then got changed into pajamas.
"Are you babies hungry again already?!" Arvilla baby talks to her belly. "How about if mommy makes you a snack before we attempt sleeping tonight."
The twins kick their tiny feet and punch their little fists in response.
Arvilla giggles and holds her belly.
"Okay, okay, Mommy will make some snackies!"
Just as Arvilla began walking towards the kitchen, her doorbell rang.
"Who is that?
.... Oh I miss having your father here to answer the door when I'm scared!" Arvilla says with a worried look on her face.
Arvilla walked to the door and grabbed an umbrella before opening it.
When Arvilla sees who's there she gasps.
"Bo!"
"Hey! Woah!" Bo's eyes widen on her belly. "Arvilla!"
Arvilla laughs and runs her hand down her bump. "Hi! I've put on a pound or two since the last time you've seen me, haven't I?"
"You look great!"
"Thank you! Come in and we'll catch up!
How did everything go? Did you find your father?"
"I did and I owe it all to you, Margene and Carol."
"Aw honey, we just gave you a little ride." Arvilla giggles.
"No, you did so much more than that. I wanted to personally thank you all, so I looked you up." Bo says with his beautiful smile.
"Aw, well you're welcome, sweetie!"
"Tell me about you! You're having a baby!"
"You noticed!" Arvilla giggles and places her hand on her bump.
"I am pregnant. I found out a few days after meeting you. It was a shock of course!
Joe and I weren't trying but.. God knew what he was doing sending me these babies. It's been so incredibly hard going through this pregnancy without him, but these two have definitely helped mommy take care of herself and.. not going completely crazy."
"Wait, are you having twins?"
"I am!" Arvilla smiles. "A boy and a girl!"
"Oh wow, that's incredible!"
"Thank you. I'm happy. I'm really really excited about this new chapter in my life."
"That's so exciting! I know you'll be a great mother, Arvilla."
"Thank you so much, I appreciate that, Bo."
Bo smiles.
That boy's smile could light up any room.
"We'll all have to get together and catch up, Bo!
Oh! Get this! Margene is getting married to a man she met on our road trip! Crazy, isn't it?" Arville chuckles.
"Wow! Really? Man, I miss that crazy lady!"
"She's a great big ball of fun! Her wedding is in three weeks. I don't know if I'll make it!" Arvilla places he hand on her bump and laughs.
"We'll either have the cutest flower girl and ring bearer.. Or the biggest, crankiest maid of honor!"
Bo couldn't help but laugh.
"You'll be beautiful, Arvilla."
Arvilla smiles.
"Thank you, Bo."
