For a moment

The next day it was time for the trio to head back home.
Margene was excited to see Emmett, Carol couldn't wait to see Arlo, and Arvilla was just excited to get the long plane ride over with!

While waiting to board their plane, the three women sat down and relaxed a bit.

Carol watched everyone as they walked by, and Margene decided to take a little snooze.

"Arvilla?" Arvilla heard a man's voice approaching her.

"Oh!  Hello!  Robert, right?"

"Yeah!  Headed home already?"

"We are!  Where are you off to?"

"Texas!  My job has me living in so many different places!  Where's home for you?"

"Idaho."

"Oh nice!  Did you enjoy your trip?"

"Yes, it was lovely!" Arvilla says with a smile.
She then sighed and said, "Robert, when I told you I was married, I was lying."

"Oh.. Okay.." Robert thought it was a little strange of Arvilla to suddenly let that out.

"I mean, I-I would still consider myself being married, but.. my husband passed away a couple months ago."

"Oh my gosh, I am so sorry!"

"Thank you.  I just felt bad for telling you that I was.  I don't know why.  Also, I'm sure you can really tell now but, I'm pregnant." Arvilla looks down and runs her hand down her bump.

"I see that." Robert smiles. "That's incredible.  Congratulations!"

"Thank you!  It's twins!" She giggles.

"That's so cool, Arvilla!  You seem like a really great person, and even though I don't know you, I have a feeling you'll be an incredible mother."

Arvilla smiles. "Thank you so much, Robert."

"This is the final boarding call for flight number 372A to Texas."

Arvilla chuckles. "I think you better go."

"I think so.  Look.. Here's my number.  Call me if you ever want to talk.. about anything!  My names Robert Bryant, you can add me on myspace if you have one." He chuckles nervously.

"Okay, thanks." Arvilla laughs.

"You have a safe trip."

"You too.  Good luck with the babies!"

"Thank you so much!"
Arvilla then looked down and smiled at the small sheet of paper he gave her.

It had his name and number right beside a tiny, but adorable drawing of a flower.

Arvilla didn't want to be with anyone. Especially not right now.  But having this moment with Robert really made her happy.  She just enjoyed talking to him.  Even if it was just for a moment.

Arvilla smiled to herself.  She then folded the piece of paper, and put it into her purse.

I am so so sorry for such a short and boring chapter, but I am going through it right now you guys!

Texas is bad right now, and it's getting worse everyday.  I work with people who do not believe in this virus, which I honestly think is insane!  I have health problems so I'm considered high risk.  My family members that are in my house right now are high risk.  The level of my anxiety has never been so bad!

I know the whole world is going through it right now, but I feel like everyone in Texas just does not care, and that scares the hell out of me.

Moving past all of that, I wanted to talk about the story a bit.
I don't plan on Arvilla getting remarried or even dating much, but I did want her to have a cute little moment with Robert.  So that is why I added him in there just a couple of times.  I've never written a story about a single mother who actually stays single!  I thought she could be my first.  But y'all let me know what you think.

One more thing!  I want you guys to all go over to my friend's account and check out her work.  ladynicks24
She is such an incredible writer so y'all please show her some love!
She has tons of different stories and I love them all!  Her newest book is called, "Raising Isaiah".  A book about the movie, "Losing Isaiah".  Please please go over there and check it out!  Trust me, she's AMAZING!!!!
