Dada

Halloween.

"Smile my beautiful little pumpkins!" Arvilla said snapping a picture of the twins in their costumes.

The twins giggle cutely.

"Oh my goodness you two are cute!  How blessed are daddy and I?  We have the most beautiful babies in the whole world!" Arvilla then lifts her babies and kisses them.

"You two are getting so heavy!  Mamas gotten strong after lifting you everyday." She chuckles.

Arvilla then sits them in their highchairs and gets their food ready.  The twins now love certain types of baby food.  The two still nurse when they're sleepy or not feeling well.

"What would mommy's babies like today?"

Heidi squeals and bowls spit bubbles.

"Yes ma'am, coming right up!" Arvilla says making her laugh.

Later that day.

"This was mommy last Halloween.  See that big belly?  That's you guys in there!"

Heidi pokes Arvilla's belly on the photo and giggles.

"It's big, isn't it?" She laughs. "You see that, Joey?  Look at mama!" Arvilla baby talks.

Joseph smiles sweetly.

"You're so handsome, Joseph!"

Arvilla then shows them a picture of her and Joe on his last Halloween.

"Look at Dada and I.  We were pumpkins like you two!"

Heidi once again pokes the photo and smiles. "Dada!" She says very clearly.

Arvilla's eyes went wide. "What did you just say?  Did you say Dada?  Oh honey!  You said Dada!  Oh my gosh, Heidi Ho!" Arvilla lifts her.

"He's here, baby.  He's here!  Say it again, Princess.  Say Dada!"

"Daaaa-Da!" She smiles.

"Oh my gosh!" Arvilla cries. "My beautiful girl!  your Dada and I are so proud of you!"

Heidi smiles and lays her head on Arvilla's shoulder.

Joseph looks up and reaches for his mother.

"Aw baby, come here, cutie pie.  Do you wanna say Dada too?"

Joseph smiles before trying his best to kiss Arvilla's cheek.

"Oh my sweet little man!  You two make mommy's day, Everyday!"

November 20th.

Alan's 20th Birthday.

Arvilla packed the twins up and surprised Alan at work.

"We're gonna surprise Alan so you have to yell Surprise!" Arvilla said to the twins who sat in their stroller.

The twins smile and kick their legs.

Arvilla giggles and pushes the stroller over to find Alan.

"SURPRISE!" Arvilla smiles.

"Mrs. Holden!  Oh my gosh, thank you!  Hey kiddos!"

Alan hugs Arvilla before kissing the twins on their heads.

"Thank you for surprising me!  This is great!"

"Well we were in the area and we couldn't go without seeing you on your TWENTIETH Birthday!"

"I swear I was gonna stop by before I go out with my friends tonight."

"Oh it's okay!  I have gifts and I ordered a cake for this weekend." Arvilla dances. "I can't wait!"

"You're too sweet, Mrs. Holden."

"Alan, you've done so much for me, and you're great with the twins.  We love you and you deserve the best!"

"I love you, Mrs. Holden." Alan hugs her once again.

Thanksgiving.

5:00 am.

Arvilla jumped up out of bed and gasped.  Her home phone was ringing.  Who was it so early in the morning?

"Hello?" She says in a very groggy voice.

"Oh my gosh, I forget about the time difference!  I was just calling to tell you Happy Thanksgiving!"

Arvilla laughs with exhaustion. "Happy thanksgiving, Robert."

"Uh oh, I made you mad.  You called me Robert and not Bobby."

"Shut up, I call you Robert sometimes."

"Sometimes!"

"That's what I said!" She laughs.

"Well I'll let you get back to sleep."

"No, I'm up let's talk!" Arvilla sits up and smiles.

Robert chuckles.  He loved when they were able to have a long conversation.

The two missed each other terribly.

**

A few hours later.

Today instead of cooking Arvilla is having her Thanksgiving food delivered.  With the twins it's just too much for her to cook an entire Thanksgiving dinner.

Arvilla's father, the boys, and Margene and Emmett are coming over for dinner.

**

Arvilla snapped pictures of the twins.

"Joe, let sissy play with the ball too."

Joseph holds the football tighter and grunts.

Heidi fusses and hits her hands on her thighs. "Dada!  DADA!" She screams.

Dada was the only word Heidi could say so far, so she says it all the time.  She'll say it if she's happy, sad, hungry, or in this case, Angry.

Jospeh releases the ball and smiles. "Dada!" He laughs.  This was the first time Joseph has said Dada.  It was also his first word.

"Joesph!  You said Dada!  Aw my boy!  Wow!  Neither one of you said Mama first, huh?" Arvilla chuckles. "I only held you in my body for nine months and pushed you out into the word."

Joseph smiles while Heidi chews on the football.

"Dada!" He laughs.

"Aww!  You know what?  I'm not even mad at it.  Dada loves you, baby boy.  I know he's dancing around in Heaven because he's so happy you said his name!"

"Dada!"

"Yeah!  Dada!" Arvilla giggles through her tears.
