Be free

"Joe.." Arvilla whispers.
"I don't know what to do. Please tell me what to do!"

Arvilla then looked up with tears in her eyes.

Breathing a little heavier Arvilla's mind races.
Just then she felt the wind pick up a bit. Arvilla opened her hand, and let the wind take Joe from her.

Arvilla smiled then quickly closed her hand. and brought it to her face.

"You loved it here.  Go.. be free, Joe.."

The next morning.

"Arvilla?" Carol knocked on the bathroom door. "Arvilla, are you okay?"

"I'm fine."

"What's wrong?" Margene asks.

"Sounds like she's sick again."

"Again?! We should take her to the doctor."

"That's what I was thinking."

Just then Arvilla walked out with a miserable look on her face.
"I'm not going to the doctor."

"Why not? You're sick!"

"I am not! Jesus! I'm depressed! My husband just died!"

"Arvilla."

"Can I just be alone, please?"

"Come on, Carol. Let's let her be."

"I'm worried abut her!"

"I know, but she's a big girl. She'll be fine."

Carol sighed and left the room.

Once alone Arvilla laid down on her bed and cried.

Later that day, Arvilla had wiped her tears and just wanted to have fun.

"What is this music?" Carol asked.

Margene turns it up and says, "It's fun! Don't be such a bore!"

Arvilla looks at Margene and dances.

"Ooooh! Mrs. Holden's got the moves!" She says as they both crack up laughing and dancing without a care in the world.

"That's what Joe used to say!"

"Ow!" Margene says making Arvilla laugh.

"Arvilla, where are we going?" Carol asks.

"Funky town!"

"Come on, I'm serious."

Arvilla glances back to her and says, "We're going on a boat!"

"A boat?! What?! You don't know how to drive one of those things!"

"You don't drive, you pilot. Besides, Joe said I did it better than he did!"

"Like this?"

"No.. more like this." Joe places his hands on Arvilla, and presses his front against her bottom.

"Joe!" Arvilla laughs.

"What? I'm helping!"

"Oh you're helping something!" She laughs.

Joe chuckles and kisses her neck.

"JOOOOOE! Come on, knock it off! You're gonna make us-"

Just then their boat hit something, making the wheel press into Arvilla's stomach.

"Ooh! Ow!"

"Oh gosh! Are you okay?"

"Ah.. Yeah.." Arvilla breathes out in pain.

Joe looked and her and paused with his eyes slightly widened.

"Arvilla! Arvilla, watch out for the-"

"OW!" Arvilla gasps.

"Sandbar.."

"Oh, Lord! Take me know." Margene says.

"Ow.." Arvilla sighed and grabbed her stomach just like she did twenty years before.

"Take me now, just get it over with."

"That's not funny." Carol says.

"Ugh!" Arvilla grunts.

She and Carol then get into it, and Margene tries to keep the peace.

"I don't understand why you're trying so hard not to get to Santa Barbara when it's the whole reason we're on this trip."

"And I don't understand why you're soo worried about Francine!"

"I am not worried about Francine! I am worried about you! Where do you think you're gonna live?
.... You need to take care of yourself."

"I know how to take care of myself!"

"Oh, what- Like you're taking care of us right now?

Take a look around. Oh wait, I forgot! We're having an adventure!" Carol screams.

"CaRoL!" Margene shouted.

"Not if you've got anything to say about it!" Arvilla shouted.

Carol getting onto Arvilla was just what topped it off. Arvilla was more upset about something that happened here on a boat like this one, twenty years ago.
