Chapter 20: This Fascinating Being
Diedrek
Placing her hair behind her ear, I look into her light green eyes. I wish I had all the answers for her. She has many and I would love to be her hero and know what to say, but I don't. There are too many questions I still have myself.
This beautiful young woman standing before me is an enigma. Her past is a mystery I crave to unravel. There's only one way to do that. I need to go to the witches' quarters and talk to the three elderly witches we have here in the castle.
They know and see all. I could ask them all my questions and get my answers. I will know all about the woman standing before me that is mine in every way.
Placing my forehead to hers I look deep into her eyes, "Not to worry angel, I'll find the answers today." I hope she can see the determination in my eyes.
She moves her forehead from mine and stares deep into my eyes. I see so many questions in their green depths, but I also see trepidation. She's scared to know the truth.
"What should I do while you're away?" She worries her bottom lip between her teeth.
A growl works its way up my throat, I want to be the only one that bites those luscious lips of hers. Shaking my head, I focus on the importance at hand.
"You can relax here, no one will bother you. You're safe in the East Wing, the only others that come down this way are Darius and occasionally Satine." Her eyes grow big when I say my cousins name.
"Are you afraid of Satine?" I step up close to her body. Sniffing the air surrounding her I smell no fear. So why are her eyes so wide?
"No," she shakes her head, "She's just peculiar and I don't quite know how to manage her when she's around."
I nod my head in agreement. "Yes, my cousin is quite odd in her own unique way, but she would never hurt you. There isn't an evil bone in her body."
I can tell by the look on her face she wants to say something, she opens her mouth but then thinks better of it and closes it a second later. Good girl! I don't think you want to do that little human; you aren't ready for the kind of punishments I enjoy doling out.
I know she cannot hear what I'm thinking but my eyes must give it away, if her stepping away from me is any indication. She turns her back on me and begins wandering around the room. When she reaches the door to the library, I make my way behind her.
Purposely touching her arm, as I reach for the door handle, a surprised breath exhales from her mouth, her shirt has grown tighter, making it easier to see her through the thin material of the shirt she's wearing. My lips form a smile in pleasure.
"Was just going to open this door for you, so you could see the library." Her brows furrow in confusion.
"Have you never seen a library?" My voice holds such surprise at the idea.
"No, I've grown up in the forest and mountains. What is a library?"
Opening the door, I take a step back and open my arm in a gesture that shows I want her to walk in first. As she does, I hit the light switch. Rows and Rows of shelves with hundreds, even thousands of books come into view.
I look right at her to gouge her reaction. Her mouth is open wide, and her eyes show such wonderment and fascination. "Wow, what is this place?"
She runs ahead before I can say anything. "It's the library, a place where you hold all your books that you own." I follow her inside the room.
"Books, you mean the things that contain words written by other people that could take you to a new world and places, which are about people and their life story?" She asks.
Judging by her question she understands the basic concepts of a book, but it sounds as though she's never read one. Perhaps, she's never even touched one. When I ask her this, she grows quiet and solemn.
"No, the elders of my village told all of us younger children about them, but I've never got to see one before." She looks up at me, and for the first time I see it.
I can see the woman standing in front of me that has never been able to be a young girl. She had to grow up fast because of my kind. I know it's the way of the world, but as I look at her it breaks my heart at what I can only imagine what she has had to live through in her short life.
Walking up to her, I take my time. Looking for any signs that she doesn't want me to touch her. When I see no outer sign of her feeling uncomfortable, I wrap my arms around her entire body. I place my hand on the back of her head and bring her forehead to my chest.
We stand like this for a while. I'm not sure how long, but I don't care. My angel needs me. So, she will have me for as long as it takes for whatever sadness she's feeling to go away.
After a while, she finally lifts her head and smiles at me. That smile makes me feel emotions I haven't felt before. I can't explain the way she's making me feel. I take her hand and pull her out of the room, closing the door behind us.
I need to get away from that room, away from the topic of books and how she's never read one before. It makes me think about things I'm not too happy about, and I don't like how I want to change the world just for her. When that is a foolish notion. No one can change the way it's been for the last thousands of years.
"Is everything all right?" Her sadness is replaced with worry.
"Yes, I'm fine, I just think we need to stay away from the library for the day." Releasing her I walk back to the door.
"I will be away for a while. So, you will have the entire wing to yourself." Turning to her I look at her, so she knows how deadly serious I am. "You try to pull another stunt like the one I found you doing earlier, I will punish you so severely you will not be able to walk for a week."
At her intake of breath, I know she understands my words perfectly. "Do I make myself clear?" She nods her head, right away.
"Excellent," I give a salacious smile.
A knock on the door has me tearing my eyes away from her. Before I can open it, the door flies open and there stands Darius with a gigantic smile on his face. "You needed to see me?"
"I need you to sit with her while I am away." I point to my naughty Angel, with a cricked smirk plastered on my face.
He turns to face her, "Not a problem." He walks into the room, sits on the chair, and plops his feet up on the coffee table. Puts his arms underneath his head, lays his head back and closes his eyes.
The ass is planning on napping. I want to tell him to wake his ass up but knowing my friend he had a long night doing more research. Ignoring him, I look back to Kyla. "He will be here the entire time I'm gone."
She looks down at her feet. I don't like this submissive side of her. I know she's a fighter and I want that part of her to come out. I close the door, and storm over to her. Her head pops up, and I take her mouth with mine.
She tries to pull away, but I stop her with my arm behind her back, holding her body tight to mine. When I bite her bottom lip, her mouth opens wider to tell me off I can only imagine. I take the opportunity to slip my tongue in.
Her arms are now beating on my chest, as her feet try to step away from me. She's trying to fight me off her. Pulling away I let her lips go with a pop. Biting my own bottom lip, I look to hers and see I left a mark.
Smiling, I say "Good baby keep fighting me. It's what I like. I crave the fight that is inside of you."
I step away from her, and let her body go. She looks down at my arm, following I see she left scratch marks there. When I look up at her, instead of cowering she stands her ground. Her brows are up to her hair, daring me to threaten her.
Instead, I blow her a kiss, turn, and open the door. Stepping out I pause mid-stride. "Be a good girl Angel, and when I return, I'll help you fight out all that aggression in the most appetizing of ways."
Her stance turns to a woman ready for a fight. Her legs are spread, and she's now cracking her knuckles. I take my hand and adjust my hard on. That gets the reaction for which I was hoping. Her eyes go huge as does her mouth.
"Soon baby girl I'll show you just what you can do with that mouth open wide like that." I don't look at her facial expression or give her a chance to reply. I walk out the door and lock it from the outside.
Nodding to the guards along the hall, I make my way to the witches. My mind on my scrumptious Kyla the entire time. With an uncomfortable hard-on, and a devilish smile on my face.
