So I’m sitting here in the most awkward dinner of my life! After the date with Zane I asked him to drop me off at Adam’s but once I got there my dad called, ordering me back to the house. You can say I was royally peeved about it. So I had to walk home which wasn’t all that far to have dinner with my ‘Family’.

HA, my ass!

Now here I was sitting across for Eian, poking my fork at the food that Karen made, yes that’s right I refuse to call her mom because she didn’t deserve the privilege. Dad was sitting silently shoveling his face full of the probably poisoned food while Karen had a fake smile on her face as she looked at all of us.

“This is nice.” She said out of nowhere and I snorted rudely. Dad glared a warning before facing her.

“Yes, and thank you for making dinner it’s delicious.”

Oh my god, can you say fake! This is just the most pathetic thing I have ever seen.

“Oh Chris thank you, I’m glad you like it.” she smiled brightly which made me roll my eyes. Sighing I pushed my plate away and stood.

“You know I’m not all that hungry, I’ll just excuse myself now” I said in a low tone. I made my way down the hall and slammed my door shut.

Why the hell is my dad doing this to himself? I know he still has feeling for Karen so what does this mean? I let out a huff of air before snatching my phone off my dresser and falling back on my bed. I went to my messages and text Adam.

-Hey man, what are you doing?- me.

-What’s up! Nothing much just watching my idiotic brothers fight over the remote XD u- Adam.

-Lol, I’m having the worst night of my life!!!!!- me.

-Want to come over?- Adam.

-I wish but my dad wouldn’t let me- me.

-Oooo so he’s home?- Adam.

-Yep- me.

-What if I came over there?- Adam.

There was a sudden knock on my door and I looked up warily.

“Come in” I said. I didn’t expect to see him to come in. Eian walked in far enough to close the door behind him and looked at me. I watched him suspiciously before he gave me a gentle smile.

“Hey Wyatt” he said. I sat up and put my phone down beside me.

“Hi” what the hell was he here for? To call me names or something, I was on the defensive as he came further in to sit beside me. I frowned at him waiting for whatever he wanted. He cleared his throat and began to speak.    

“I just wanted to say that I’m nothing like your mom k. I’m not going to judge you or make you feel uncomfortable about who you are Wyatt, I totally respect you and I want to make friends since were going to be living in the same house for a while.” He smiled and I slowly relaxed in awe.

“Seriously?” I whispered and he nodded.

“I haven’t told Karen and honestly don’t plan on it but I’m a little curious myself if you know what I mean.” He winked and I laughed.

“Your bi?”

“Yep, but don’t tell devil women out there.”  I frowned.

“Yeah what’s up with you and my mom?” I asked suspiciously which caused him to lift his hands in surrender.

“Oh no, no, nothing like that. She’s actually my stepmom now” he confessed I heard the slight hitch of pain in his voice.

“I didn’t know she was married.” I whispered. He nodded his head.

“Yeah, she met my dad some years back and they hit it off. She’s a really nice woman but her hatred for homosexuality runs deep as hell and I never had the guts to tell her not that it’s any of her business.” He looked at me with such a serious expression. His greyish green eyes were piercing.

“What she did to you was disgusting and heartless; no one deserves to have their mother treat them this way. I admire your strength for coming out to her.” He said.

“I didn’t come out to her it was an accident.” I muttered but he just shrugged.

“Still your here and standing strong.” His admiration caused me to blush deeply.

“I wouldn’t go that far but thank you” I smiled at him.

“Anytime” it was quiet for a bit before something clicked.

“So your my stepbrother in a way.” I inhaled deeply and feel back on my bad.

“Yep” he said looking up at me.

“Cool.”

“Here” my dad handed me a key and I looked up at him with wide eyes.

“What’s this?” I asked.

“It’s my spare key I don’t have work today so you can take the car to school.” He told me and I was stuck in shock. He’s seriously letting me take his car?! I had a grin so wide it hurt I rushed into his arms with a gigantic hug.

 “Thank you, thank you, thank you!” I rushed out. He laughed hugging me back and patting my back.

“Alright now get out of here before you’re late, and take Eian it’s his first day.” Just then Eian came down the hall from the bathroom. Since I had bailed the first day they came, dad took it upon himself to offer my bedroom as sleeping quarters while Karen took the spare bedroom. So that’s where he slept last night though I made him sleep on the floor. I still don’t know him.

“K!” I rushed out to the car was with Eian behind me, happily sliding in the driver’s seat and started it up.

“This is a pretty nice car.” Eian compliment buckling his seat belt. I grinned wider.

“I know!” I said excitedly and backed out of the garage.

Once at school I helped him get his schedule before meeting up with Adam.

“What classes do you have?” I asked peeking up at him through my over grown bangs. He glanced down at the paper and listed it off. I smiled.

“Oh cool we have a couple classes together and with Adam too?” I said.

“Who is this Adam character you keep mentioning?”

“He’s my best friend” I told him opening the office door leading out to the hall. He nodded stuffing his schedule in his pocket.

At the lockers I watched Adam look up from his locker he smiled at me then glanced at Eian.

“Who’s this?” he asked as we stopped in front of him.

“Adam this is Eian my new step brother, Eian, Adam.” Once I introduced them Eian reached out to shake his hand.

“Nice to meet you” he said politely and Adam took it.

“Step brother huh” he said.

“Yep” Eian said.

“Cool” Adam said nodding his head.

“Aww isn’t this nice.” I gushed at them teasingly and Adam rolled his eyes turning back to his locker snatching a book out.  The bell rung loudly and I groaned.

“Time for chemistry” I grimaced hurrying to open my lockers. Eian stood as everyone in the hall began rushing to class.

“I guess I should go to my class now.” He said. I finally got my locker open and turned to him.

“Yeah, I’ll see you in math class and I’ll help you get your books after school if you want.” I offered and he smiled.

“Thanks ‘Bro’” he said and I laughed.

“Yeah” with that he left.

“I’ll take you to class” Adam said as they walked away looking at Eian’s crumpled up schedule.

The halls were cleared and the bell rung again as I slammed my locker shut and walked towards my class. No point in running since I’m late anyway.

On the way to class I was getting a weird feeling in my stomach the closer I got and I knew it was for Zane. I couldn’t stop wondering if he was there. I didn’t know what we were to each other but somehow he’s found a way in when I fought my hardest to keep him out. I’m not saying we’re a couple because we are not but I couldn’t deny he was something to me.

A few feet away from my class I  was grabbed by my arm and dragged into a room. I would have screamed but they had a hand over my mouth so everything was muffled. The person closed the door and my heart was pounding like crazy. The moment they let me go I spun around ready to defend myself against whoever it was when I finally got a look at him.

“Please don’t do that ever again.” He demanded before his lips crashed to mine. The force pushed me back against the door as he braced his hands on either side of my head.

“Owen” I mumbled against his mouth.

Groaning his tongue rushed into my mouth taking advantage of the opening I unintentionally gave him. His lips were so warm and soft I was being cast under his spell and I gave in without putting up any fight at all. His hands gripped my hips pushing them towards his. Unlike Zane, Owen was so much gentler and loving in the way he moved, the way he held me and kissed me. My body was shaking as my heart beat crazily; my hands drifted up to his short brown hair and clamped on for dear life. He tasted like heaven; I found myself never wanting it to end.

Wow, wait! Did I just say that? When was it that I gave into the two I constantly pushed away? I couldn’t remember, not with Owen’s lips traveling down and caressing my neck. Heavy breathing filled the room and I didn’t even try to hold back the moans and whimpers rushing from my moist mouth. I held him close to me by his hair as he trailed hot kisses down my neck, collarbone and back up. Growling he gripped at my thighs and lifted me with ease so I wrapped my legs around his narrow waist.

I squealed at the strength he had in doing this but it also made me hot with lust.

‘Damn if that wasn’t the sexiest thing ever’ I thought.

Our tongues battled for the dominant role but there was no way I would win in such a fight against him and quickly gave in. When he finally let me breathe I rested the back of my head on the door closing my eyes while he rested his forehead on my shoulder, still holding me up against the door. I was panting for breath when he decided to talk.

“I was worried about you all those weeks you were gone. I knew it was me that kept you from coming to school but then I saw you leave with Zane on that death trap yesterday…” he paused for a second and I opened my eyes to stared ahead of me in the empty classroom. He pulled his head back to meet my gaze and I saw emotions that tightened on my heart.

“I really do care about you Wyatt, I know that you’ve told me you want nothing to do with relationships but I want you to know. I can’t keep hiding my feeling from you Wyatt and just being a friend is torturing me.” he brought his hand up to my cheek softly caressing it like I was the most precious thing in his life.

“Owen”

Owen what? What did I want to say? I was suddenly at a crossroads with my feelings. I didn’t want this from the beginning and not that I could stop it, what do I do? I cared for him when I tried not to but I cared for Zane. Did I choose? I knew now there was no avoiding the two, there was no deny, they both wormed their way in and know here I was having to choose between the two.

But I didn’t want too.

“You don’t have to say anything. I just want to tell you that I’m… I’m here no matter what route you take.” I heard the hidden message in his words.

 He knew about Zane just as Zane knew about him.

“I didn’t ask for this” I whispered dropping my head as a pain in my heart suddenly materialized.

“I know it just happened.” I glanced up at him as his eyes roamed over every feature on my face with such a soft expression. Was he waiting for my decision?

“I- I can’t choose right now if that’s what you want.” I breathed through the lump in my throat.

How was all of this happening.

Owen shook his head with a sincere look,

“I’m not asking for that,” his brown eyes were so captivating I could look away. “I can see how he’s affecting you and I’m just making it harder.”

“Then what do you want?”

“Recognition” he chuckled softly. I rolled my eyes laughing a bit.

“Don’t forget I’m here too.” He said right before ducking his head once again and capturing my lips in a sweet gentle kiss that could only be Owen’s causing my heart to pick up again.

“I will get you, one way or another” he whispered against my lips and I closed my eyes pressing further into his kiss forcing it into something much deeper and meaningful.

And for the first time Derek was nowhere to be found in my thoughts.  I think it was time to do as these two said. Forget and move on, but that didn’t make it easy when I had two men I was falling for.
