Witnessing Mori's personality come out tonight was the best thing I have ever seen. She was sassy, hilarious, and very flirtatious. From her playful hits to her legs swung over my lap, everything in this moment was completely worth waiting for. I always wanted to know what this woman was like deep down. As I said before, I wanted to get the full picture. I knew that there was more behind that precious face of hers. She was full of life, I could just see it. The way her eyes were sparkling tonight was all so very beautiful.
"Thanks Carlos," I say nodding at him when he opened the car door for me.
"Anytime," he smiled patting my back, then soon whispering. "Have fun tonight."
"Shut up," I roll my eyes at him before turning around to get Mori out the car. With a charming smile I take her hand in my own, and together we came stepping in my club.
People stared, and of course I expected them to. Mori was such a star and she had every head turning. And just like the confident woman she was, she held her head high and stayed very close.
"Oh look at who it is," Roman came walking towards us with a smile. He greeted me then looked at Mori. "Well hello there miss, it's been a cool minute."
"I don't think we officially meet yet," she sticks her hand out and shook his. "I'm Mori."
"Roman Godfrey," my friend says introducing himself. "My apologizes for the first time we met. I'm just quite overprotective when it comes to Z."
"Don't worry, I would be too," she says before looking up at me and sending me a flirty wink.
"Well then," Roman made eye contact with me. "Have fun."
"You too," I nodded at him before he decided to walk away, disappearing in the crowd.
"You wanna drink?" I ask her wrapping my arm around her waist.
"Sure," she chirped. "Anything will do."
So we walked to the bar together, I watched how she got in her chair so smoothly. I grabbed the bartender's attention and told him to just get me a full bottle Ciroc from the counter, and he gave it to me with ease. I poured us two shot glasses and placed the bottle to the side.
"You know..you're not that bad as a person as I assumed you to be," she says looking at me with those twinkling eyes.
"Should I take that as a compliment?" I ask raising a brow at her curiously.
"I would, I don't say that to a lot of people," she told me. "Well...I have said that to no one really."
I chuckle, feeling a little honored, "You've never been in a relationship?"
"Oh I have, but those were just mistakes that I made in the past. I have a tendency of dating douche bags," she snorts.
"Why? For a woman like you I think you deserve someone better," I tell her bodly.
"Eh, it was the past," she shrugs, and it was obvious that she has definitely moved on from it. I'll be sure to remember that.
"I understand," I nod. "I have been in some toxic relationships with girls who just want to use me. Being a handsome gangster isn't as easy as it sounds."
"Aw poor baby," she coos pinching my cheek which I playfully slap away.
"Don't pity me," I tell her rolling my eyes jokingly.
"Fine," she chuckled. "Cheers to new beginnings?"
"To new beginnings," I raise my glass up with hers, together we made a toast and chugged down our drink. The burning sensation was now numb to me, but the sensation I had wasn't in my throat but in my heart.
It seemed like we were talking for hours and hours, and actually we have. I didn't notice how fast time had went. We were both telling each other things about ourselves and making cruel jokes that only we would get. She was a spontaneous woman for sure. I have never met a person like her before. Mori was a different kind—correction a very unique kind and I liked that.
"Damn, people leaving already?" Mori looked around the club that was soon losing people minute by minute.
"Well, it's almost two in the morning love," I tell her and she looked at me like I had three heads.
"Oh," she murmurs, burping cutely.
"I shut my clubs down at two," I inform her. "And I don't fuck around with my places too, the people know what the deal is."
"How many do you have around here?" She asks me.
"Just three," I tell her simply.
"That's..that's so nice," she gushes touching my arm and giving it a light squeeze.
I chuckle at her light state of drunkness, and I had to admit that she was being pretty cute.
"I wanted to own my hair salon when I was little...but that never happened because everything j-just changed," her mood then switched suddenly, soon hiccuping at the end of her sentence.
"I'm sorry dear," I tell her softly.
"S'okay," she sighs.
"Do you want me to take you back home?" I ask her, noticing that she was kinda drunk but she was surely aware of what was happening around her.
She shook her head, poking her bottom lip out, "Not really."
"Then...you want to go to my place?" I suggest, and I swear to god that my heart literally dropped to my feet the moment I asked her. The words had just slipped from mouth so easily that I couldn't just take them back, it was too late.
She looked at me with uncertainty, "You wouldn't mind?"
"Of course not," I tell her calmly, regaining myself once again.
"Um..okay then," she tried to get down from the chair, almost falling until I caught her. Mori began to suddenly whine like child. "Ug, that was sooo embarrassing."
"It's okay Mori," I chuckle wrapping my arm around her waist again. When I nodded my head at Carlos he nodded back and went out the club so he could pull up the car. Together we walked out the building, the chilly air catching us off guard. I took my jacket off and wrapped it over Mori's shoulders. She looked up and smiled at me where I sent her a flirty wink to make her start smiling.
"To the house?" Carlos asked me.
"Yeah," I confirm.
The car starting driving miles and miles away from my side of the city. During the car ride Mori had her head leaning against my body as she slept silently. I admired her beautiful face here and there, noticing the way her relaxed face made me feel quite calm. Maybe this won't he as bad.
"We're here," Carlos announced quietly.
"Thank you Los," I thank him before I gently wake her up. "Hey love, we're here."
"Oh?" She said out with a bit of confusion.
"Have a good night you two," Carlos said to us as we got out of the car.
"You too," we said at the same time, then resulting us to laugh slightly.
"You have..you have a very nice house," she told me with a smile, looping her arm with my own.
"Thank you," I say before unlocking my door and letting us inside.
She kinda stopped and admired how big my interior was, "You live here all by yourself?"
"If the gang isn't around, so yeah," I answer taking her towards the living room.
"D-Don't you get lonely?" She asks with a lace of worry, yet sympathy in her tone. And I chose not to answer.
"Come on Mori, let's get you into something comfortable," I say changing the subject.
"Okay," she whispers, following my lead.
I guided her to one of the untouched guest bedrooms that was on the first floor. She waited patiently on the bed as I got her some extra clothes from the drawer. But the moment I turned around she was already knocked out on the bed.
Precious. She was just precious. It didn't make sense how she was into this dark and dangerous life she was living. Man, if I didn't know any better I would try my best to keep this woman safe. Because she was totally worth it.
