You sighed in relief as your master left after your daily beating. You shakily stood up and limped your way to the first aid kit and cleaned up your wounds. You let tears run down your face as you cleaned yourself up. You don't know why you would let this man hurt you. You don't know why you let him call you horrible names. You wished that your old master would come back for you, but you know he won't... he's the one that sold you.

You looked at yourself in the mirror and felt dirty. He was nice at first but when he took you home, that's when it all started. You wanted to leave but you would have nowhere else to go. You would be a stray and hunted down and killed or be taken back to your owner.

You didn't want to live this life, your family wouldn't have wanted you to live this life. So maybe it will be better in the next one, and to be honest dying sounded better than getting beat everyday.

You've always had these thoughts but were afraid to actually go along with it. You had it all planned out and all you needed to do was... do it. You freeze when you hear thumps above you making their way to the basement door. 'I thought he was done' you thought, your tail curled around your thigh and ears flattened against your head.

You looked around for somewhere to hide and saw something you haven't before. You tugged on the flimsy wood that covered... a window. You heard him come closer and decided it's now or never, you opened the window and carefully climbed out and started to run.

The adrenaline that coursed through your body was a whole different experience. You felt free but all that crashed when you heard the yell of your master. "I AM COMING FOR YOU AND WHEN I CATCH YOU YOUR DEAD". That made your whole world freeze, you can never be free when you're still being hunted down. You can't run forever, that's not living you stop when your feet meet the edge of a cliff.

The sky was beautiful and the waves of the ocean were soothing, it was honestly going to make this easier. At least you got to see the outside world before you go and not a dirty basement caked in your blood. "Don't worry mom, I'm coming" you whispered out, the wind blew softly and it felt good.

*Thud*

You whipped around and saw nothing but you looked down and saw a red sack on the ground. You slowly make your way toward the sack and slowly open it. Stared back at you was the head of your master, you screamed and dropped the head on the floor.

You heard a soft thud behind you making you turn around, where you stood before was a man. This man had black and purple wings and a tail to match but what stood out were his eyes. They were purple and glowed, it was very alluring you couldn't look away. Your tail slowly swayed behind you, you already forgot about the head that laid 3 feet away from you.

You stood still not wanting to move forward afraid of what he was going to do. It felt like slow motion as he made his way to you and pulled you into an embrace. You purred at the contact but was confused as to why he was doing this. You looked up at him and stared into his eyes, it felt they were piercing your soul.

You opened your mouth to ask the question that lingered in your mind but nothing came out after the words that came from his mouth.

"Your mine"

A shiver went down your spine as it came out, there was so much dominance behind it making you melt. "Ok" you replied he smirked and crashed his lips onto yours, you struggle to keep up as you've never kissed anyone before. But he left you breathless... you could get used to this.

He pulled away, you gasped for air, your face was red from the lack of air and your eyes hooded from the pleasure that coursed through your body from the kiss. You let out a yelp when he picked you up and flew into the sky.

This was the beginning of your new life.

Now you can finally live it.
