2- Tomura's soliloquy and their arrival
Tomura's eye twitches, as the bandage wrapped around his body irritated him. It reminded him how that Y/N always cling their selves on him, despite having the literal touch of death. He can never get them. What pleasure does that person get whenever they're risking their life?
Incompetent, that's what they are. They're lucky they were raised by Master with him, or else they would find themselves lying in a pile of ash.
He find himself being guilty, though. He loves you, I hope you know that. He just doesn't know how to express those feelings.
In fact, it feels like guilty pleasures. Your relationship with him is... Complicated, to say the least. It's not like he doesn't love your relationship together, it just gets dysfunctional at times.
There were days you're affectionate, there were days you're an envious mess, there were days you're extremely feeling stabby.
And him, well... There's nothing wrong with him, all he can do was to pin point all the blames to you, the reason why the relationship is spiralling down.
And besides, Master said that feelings like those would just distract him. Master suggested that you shouldn't involve yourself with other people, that you shouldn't get yourself attached to them. His past only matters, it fuels his desires, it actually motivates him. It's not like Master doesn't support your relationship, it's just that he is too attached.
Well, you were more attached. Obsessed, even. It actually fuels your desires. You desire to help Tomura to do his own desires. Your personal desires doesn't matters only his. This story is about him. You're just his love interest, after all. But he wouldn't dare to say it out loud to hurt your feelings. He doesn't want to exploit your weakness... Too much, anyways. He'll try not to abuse it. But he's already abusing it. Your kindness, your long patience, your weaknesses... He always uses it to his advantages. For his own gains. And he hates himself for that.
But is it selfish of him? Or is it just supporting himself? He can't tell the difference. It doesn't really matter to him. He's a villain for crying out loud, he doesn't have any time to question his moralistic beliefs.
Well... What was the point of this relationship? It's only a burden to be carried around. What should he do with it? You're mostly not getting out you prison anytime soon.
The solution is simple: He should break up with you. Well, he technically already did it.
He wants to, but something deep inside him just wants to stay with. It loves to stay with you, it lusts to stay with you.
You're the only person there for him after Master. He knew far too well not to break ties with his powerful S-rank lover in his side to kill the Symbol of Peace.
You are his, and you're supposed to be his forever. You already, in fact, pledged yourself to him. And he did the same to you.
You've been together for a decade and a half, and it's too late to back out now.
And besides, he was sure it'd be you he'll marry. He's not sure when, but someday.
We've strayed far away from the topic, let's go back: What will he do now that he broke your heart?
It was obviously your fault, given that you always annoyed him. You did everything just to get in his nerves, and he doesn't appreciate that.
"Kurogiri," the recovering man child called, as he tipped the glass in his grasp back and fourth, watching the alcoholic liquid move as he commands.
The man by the bar counter glanced at his employer, urging him to go on with his statement.
"Do you think Y/N will forgive me?"
Ah yes, Kurogiri can vividly remember what Shigaraki Tomura did that one time, during the USJ attack.
The couple broke out in a serious fight, a personal one. To the point of using their quirk on each other. Well, they did used their quirks on each other.
"Hey, Tomura, darling... I think we should involve ourselves in the fight, don't you think?" Y/N questioned, as they had their arms draped around Tomura's neck from behind, despite his being annoyed by it.
"And why would you think of that?" Tomura shortly replied, as if he were annoyed with them. "And could you please take off your arms away from me? You're making me look like a level one newbie." Tomura snapped, shoving you off.
"They're merely just pawns, Y/N. I'm the King of this chess board, you're my Queen obviously. But Queens bow down to their Kings. So if you want to prove me something, then prove yourself useful." Tomura glanced at you by the corner of his eye, from his shoulder. "And you shouldn't question your boss, you know. You are my player two, but that doesn't mean I have to go easy on you."
The sight of you frowning made his little heart quiver in joy as he can finally hold an emotional leverage over you. The fact that you always made him feel inferior by telling him to do things made him feel weak.
You shot him a glare, but you didn't bothered. "Right, I'm sorry, my love." You turned away, fists clutched, shoulders shaking. "I'll be back." You marched forward to join the chaos.
Will Y/N forgive Tomura? Kurogiri wasn't quite sure.
Kurogiri has known Y/N for quite some time. He knows them like he knows his own mind.
That person, I tell you. Their patience is long in terms of dealing with Tomura, as he had always witnessed. But that particular day, you seem so upset and frustrated at Tomura.
You stood behind Tomura, as he faced All Might. His shoulders shook in frustration as his hands reaches for his neck, when your strings shot forward and wrapped itself around Tomura's wrist to prevent him from scratching his neck, his form of self harm that Y/N desperately wanted him to stop.
That seems to upset Tomura more as he yanks his wrist away, snapping the string in half to disconnect it from Y/N.
"Can you not?!"
"I'm only protecting you Tomura! Why can't you see that?! Why do you always see my care and concerns as pity and a bother?!" Y/N argued.
"I don't need your protection! I can handle myself!" Tomura snapped towards Y/N, almost grabbing their neck.
Kurogiri knows too well not to involve himself in the couple's quarrel, but he knew he had to step in.
Using his warping quirk, he created a portal in front of Y/N that transported Tomura's hand away from them.
Kurogiri doesn't know if it was his intent to kill Y/N, or did he acted out of impulse, he knew one thing. And that one thing would be to make sure he doesn't lay all five fingers on them.
Distraught and stunned, you shakily glanced at the portal, then at Tomura. Your shakiness wasn't from being afraid, you were as frustrated as he is. Less violent, yet similarly frustrated.
"I've put up a lot of SHIT from you, for once, stop acting like a spoilt child!" You yelled.
"You're the one who's treating me like a child!" Tomura retorted. "You're nothing to me! You and your sick delusions makes me sick! Instead of doing what you're told, you're gushing! You're useless! I don't even know why I chose you out of all people out there who are more skilled and perfect than you! We're over!"
Your shoulder sagged, as your mood drastically dropped. You were silent for a second, violently shaking. For a flash, Kurogiri saw the fear in Tomura's eyes.
Your eyes rapidly shed tears, as the string in your fingertips grew thinner and thinner, enough to decapitate someone in half.
"YOU-!" Before you can send the wave of strings towards his direction, the familiar abyss enveloped you and sent you somewhere in USJ.
He practically broke up with you that day. And he deeply regretted that. And he doesn't know how to make it up to you.
Would you actually forgive him? Kurogiri is really unsure.
"I'm not sure." Kurogiri stated.
Tomura sighs, as he chugged down his third glass of alcohol.
Was it too late to say sorry?
Was it too late to make up with you?
He doesn't have an idea how to manage these sorts of things. You're usually the one who always makes it up for him... Even if he was the one who's in fault.
And that's when he realized it...
You aren't the reason of why the relationship was failing, it was him. It was him all along. He constantly blamed you for everything, he constantly pinned every blame to you... Just to hold an emotional leverage over you, to dominate you.
And he feels guilty about it.
He hears the door slam open, but he didn't minded it. He was too busy figuring things out. He was thinking how he should break you out of prison.
He feels a heavy weight in his back, arms wrapped around his neck, a familiar scent lingering in his sense of scent. Fingers played on his cheek, trailing to his jaw and chin, the other one twirls around his hair. He shudders under their touch, as the hair on the back of his neck stood up.
Their breathe hits the back of his neck, as well as his ears. Their palms were so soft, yet calloused at the same time. As much as he wants to embrace them, he was too terrified to move. Their unpredictable nature can be quite scary... Scratch that, it makes him piss his pants whenever your mood transits to happy, to insane.
It scares him, but it also gives him a raging boner. That's how confusing his relationship with him was.
"Did you missed me~?"
Tomura needs to do a particular thing when you're around:
No, not playing video games.
Certainly not ignoring you, he'll die if he ever did that to you-
He likes to question your standards.
How can someone like you, a personification of a deity, strong, beautiful and fierce, fall in love with a gremlin like him?
Ever since you were young, you already displayed all kinds of innocent love to him. Holding him by his pinky, kissing his cheek, always staying by his side, comforting him... And soon when you grew older, you started kissing his lips despite its scarred state.
Everyone who saw you grew up with him found it odd that you were... Treating your - technically adopted brother- in which that wasn't the case. How the hell does one assume two are sibling, when the one who kept them doesn't even see you as their child?
All For One was everything to you, but a father wasn't one of them. Maybe a mentor, but never a father... "Mentor" is an understatement, it was more if a "Master". Well, you just don't have the time to decide who is All For One for you, but he certainly is a vital part of your life.
Master disapproved of this relationship you had with him back then, but he soon accepted it. Probably because it's what makes you villainous. Always following Tomura's example to gain his approval.
But back at the topic at hand... Why him?
"Did you miss me~?"
Four words, four syllables. Those words echoes in his head as he feared for his inevitable downfall.
What downfall, you ask? He's not quite sure as well.
He hated your complexity. Seemingly simple by the exterior surface, almost normal- looks normal, knows how to act normal, is decent and knows how to interact without being assumed as a villain. Heck, they were barely even recognized by public as the infamous L/N Y/N without their insane demeanor like they usually have when they appear in public. The thing is, he knew you for a long time but ironically, he doesn't seem to know much about you.
You acted as this insane, ruthless, wild personification of yourself as a public villain, seen by society as a monster. A person who decapitated a criminal on live television to provoke heroes. But you were also calm and collected and reserved as an undercover civilian. A person who was able to not be able to be recognise to pose as a reporter waiting near UA to penetrate the building by distracting the faculty. You are genuinely a caring person to those you love and swore to protect, a complete contradiction from your insane demeanor you shown to the world, the Y/N that they knew... A person he grew up with who is unashamed for having emotions like this, while he refused to show any form of weakness, of emotions such as crying.
Ironically, even if you were extremely infamous as a villain, it was quite easy for you to be undercover. He really needed to ask you advise about that.
You are a lovesick puppy who clings onto Tomura's arm and was figuratively needed to be pried off him with a crowbar, endearingly obsessive, protective and over the top, the comforting and understanding person he grew up with... An unpredictable person who he knew, but doesn't.
It was only the two of you in the bar. Kurogiri must've dismissed himself right before Y/N appeared. Tomura was feel their lips tugging at every corner from the very essence of their aura. He can feel the hair at the back of his neck stand, little bumps forming around his skin as nonexistent coolness brushed his neck, as warmth evaded his cheeks like a fiery pyre used to burn witches in that one era.
"Hmmm? Tomura, darling? Why aren't you answering?" Your hands trailed down, as you embraced him from behind, tucking your arms under his armpits and entwining your fingers together.
"Ah, Y/N. You've returned." You heard the monitor speak.
"Good evening, Master!" You gleefully greeted, waving at the monitor.
"I'm glad to see you've escaped. Otherwise, our group would've lost a vital piece."
"Thank you for the greeting master!" You giggled, before turning to Tomura. "So did you missed me, Tomu-chan?"
He remained silent, as your hands lingered around his chest and rest it above where his heart should be. He gulps, as your nimble fingers just traced his cold skin. He felt blissful, yet despair inducing shivers run down his skin. No one will be able to make him turned on and scared at the same time like Y/N.
"Quite the heartbeat you got there, Tomura darling~ Are you... Perhaps excited to see me? Or-..." Tomura felt strings around his neck. It was light, but it was sure sharp. He swallows thickly. "-Or are you afraid to see me? Why's that?"
You leaned your body unto his back, letting yourself be engulfed by his warmth. You nuzzled your face on his hair, inhaling his scent. The scent of musk evaded your senses, the intoxicating scent of the remnants of the alcohol that clung onto his shirt and his musky scent was just so delightful, you can't help but you just subtlety inhale his scent.
"What? Speechless?" You hummed. "Or are you just giving me the cold shoulder?"
"Y-Y/N," his breath hitched in his throat, as he held on your arm, a finger or two was up to avoid killing you.
Tomura holding your arm meant two things; either he's threatening you, or he needs you. At this case, the way his vocal response shook in the right way it sounded like a whine for mercy, it sent shivers down your spine knowing that Tomura would be as miserable as you are when you're separated.
"Oh! Finally! I was worried the heroes got your tongue as well!" You giggled. A laugh he loves, and yet he was afraid of it. "Come on, say something. Say those lines you told me before you decided an attempted murder against your lover~" Your sweet voice slowly transcends into venomous tone, the strings around his neck tightening.
Oh he remembers what he said that day. And he knows too well that he regrets what he said out of impulse. And he know far too well that something like that won't slide out of your mind oh so easily. In fact, everything he says is always imprinted in your head.
As ditzy and airheaded as you may seem to be, they never knew the cunning side until you break your façade. Maybe it was one of the factors he let himself be engulfed in your overwhelming sense of love; your complexity.
He misses you, but he has no idea how to express it. Master never really did taught him about this, neither did he taught you, but you seem to know what you're doing. In fact, Master dislikes your relationship. But he soon grew to accept it, seeing that Tomura is your strength, your reason to fight.
Tomura was unsure about this relationship, he has no idea why he agreed in the first place. It's not like he is regretting it, but... Agh, who am I kidding, he has no idea what he feels. Sometimes he hates you to the core, sometimes he will do everything for you. Sometimes he wants to push you away, sometimes he yearns for your warm embrace, to feel your lips pressed against his. He has no idea how to make you feel like how he feels, being loved.
While you, you're proud of what you do. You're proud of loving him. You're not shy in terms of PDA. You freely express your feelings for him in different forms. You flaunt your feelings for him.
"I-I'm sorry-"
"Shhh," you stroked his cheek with your fingers, holding him close. You can actually feel tears streaming down his face, causing you to giggle. Yet he was in denial that he was crying. "I know." You kissed his temple, as you embraced him by his neck, playing with his hair.
"It was all my fault..."
"No it's not. A couples quarrel shouldn't be the end of us, my darling." You peppered his cheek with kiss, before giggling to yourself and tightening your embrace. "If a blind man and a deaf woman can be married, why can't we? Despite their lack of ways to communicate, they love each other. And we both know that we've been together since we're five years old." You smiled, wiping the tears off his face.
"You have NO idea how I missed you! It was eternity for me, Tomura!" You whined, nuzzling your cheek on his.
"It was only two days!" Now there's the Tomura you know.
But was it only two days? It felt like forever to you!
"Was it? Well it felt like hell without you on my side, my beloved." You sighed, playing with his hair. "I never knew it would feel painful to not have you in my side."
"How did you escaped anyways?" He asked, looking at you over his shoulder, before he decided to let you sit on his lap with you facing forward.
"It's a story that needs to be told in the future, my love~"
Of course you won't tell, it had always been this way... But he doesn't really mind, whatever's going in your mind, it's weird and he doesn't understand them.
He never thought he'd be swooning over you after all this time. Hell, he's even shock with someone like you swooning over him, but eh, who doesn't know how to resist the boy. He always thought that you were simply children doing dumb things and would eventually forget about all this whole blood oath, but you took it seriously... And he is glad that you took it seriously, as he did.
The couple remain seated by the stool, and amidst the comforts of the silence and serenity, they just rested and basked into the atmosphere of peace that wouldn't last, but then again- savour the moment while it lasts, I guess. Tomura smirks, as the person seated by his lap began to doze off, their head by his chest. He puts a hand over their forehead, a few fingers up, before planting a kiss over their forehead.
To think of it, life's pretty boring without you.
