Interview Room 2
Taehyung is dragged and cuffed down to a chair. He didn't hurt anymore officers but he was still seething. He stared each and every one of them down, as if his eyes could actually kill. Oh, how he'd like to punch all these people senseless for doing this to him.
Taehyung looked so enraged, Dongil is assessing if he can break away from the cuffs.
"Brian, stay with me here."
Dongil opened his notebook and clicked his pen. The sound made Taehyung click as well. He looked like a bull ready to charge.
"Are you calmed down now?" Dongil asks incredulously. Of course, the answer to it is a loud resounding 'no' but he is willing to try.
"What the fuck do you want?"
Dongil seemingly beamed. Eh, it's a start. He proceeds to open a hastily prepared folder.
"State your name please."
"It's right there on the folder!"
"Oh, pish posh! I suddenly can't read."
Police Officer YoungK shifts in his position by the door, unconsciously reaching for his baton. He didn't want the inspector to joke anymore. He can take the jape about his name, but to a suspect? It is useless and it's only making the alleged suspect angrier, if he could be angrier than that.
Taehyung gritted his teeth, but surprisingly complied.
"Kim Taehyung, 21. Sinsa, Gangnam."
"That's aways from here. What are you doing here in Yeonnam, Kim Taehyung?"
"Jungkook needed a ride."
Dongil reads Taehyung's files. A note from an adjoining officer says he is to be interviewed because he is together with Jeon Jungkook before Min Yoongi was discovered.
Dongil didn't even bother to get the acquired files until this moment and never knew this kid was at the scene of the crime. Kim Taehyung could have gone back to Gangnam and never be found again, but to Dongil's luck, here he is. Rabid, but present nonetheless.
"You drive a motor. You have a license—"
"Skip that! That's not why I'm here!"
Dongil purses his lips. He continues to read through, ignoring Taehyung's glares.
Taehyung drove a motor alright. He came from Gangnam, fetched Jungkook at Ichon, and continued here in Yeonnam. Taehyung's motor is then seen dropping Jungkook off in front of the MS Apt Complex at 7:40. This coincides with the time Jungkook found Yoongi.
Next, Taehyung drives to a nearby convenience store. He stays there for some time and comes out with a plastic bag. Contents include six packs of ramen, two liters of cider, a pack of lollipops and a toothbrush, all mundane.
He drives back to the apartment and waits there until the police sirens drone in and he is asked to move his vehicle for the ambulance. The place is soon sealed off and he couldn't get in anymore. His phone records list fifteen missed calls to Jungkook's phone. Jungkook and Taehyung hasn't seen each other since then.
Dongil closes the folder.
Taehyung certainly acts like he has a motive, but Dongil can't be sure yet. The pathologist haven't called him in for autopsy so the times cannot be considered.
He decides to act safe, "You don't seem like a killer."
Taehyung's laugh made Dongil want to retrieve his words.
"Oh, I could have. I could have done it if you let me. I'd kill Yoongi over and over. He deserved to be dead! He deserved to die!"
Dongil watches Taehyung boil with his emotions. Anger. Outrage. Wrath. Neverending hate was all that spewed out of his mouth.
Dongil is honestly baffled, "Why are you mad at Min Yoongi?"
Taehyung's voice rises another octave, "He's dead and still he's all that everyone talks about! And Jungkook is hurting because of this!"
Taehyung seethes even more at that last sentence. He shouldn't have said yes when Jungkook asked him to go to Yoongi. He shouldn't have driven Jungkook here, to where he'll be hurting. And now there's even police to deal with.
This is all Yoongi's fucking fault.
"Just let him die already!"
Dongil's mood becomes sour. Here, he thought the kid is a goodie bag full of answers for the murder inquiry, but Taehyung is just an angry kid. He doesn't understand why his behavior is like this. Every reason to accuse Taehyung of having a motive surfaced.
He is Yoongi's friend, close enough that he has a key to the scene of the crime. That thought alone was enough to make Dongil stand and gather his files.
"Tell me when you're finished killing Min Yoongi, as if you're friend can't be dead enough."
