Twenty Six
3rd person;
As Reni woke up in Blackrock hold, she had such a strange feeling. Like, people were gathering. They were at healing in staggering numbers. With weapons and armour... What was this?!
Reni rushed down the stairs to find the Backrock crew leisurely milling around. She was greeted by a warm smile. "Hiya, Reni!"
She did not return the smile. She turned to Rythian."There's something coming. It's going to be big. A war, perhaps. I'm not sure. But it's big... And it coming."
"Ah, yes. A battle will be here... And I feel we need as many allies as we can get. Will you... Go to Duncan?"
Reni flinched, but nodded."I..I understand. I will."

Reni flew as quickly as possible towards Duncan's base, there were dark grey clouds gathering. She landed lightly at the door and rapped her knuckles across the wood. The gates swung open and Reni was greeted by a short, purple girl.
"Hello. You must me Kim."
"I'm sorry. Do I know you?"
"I'm Reni."The Demi-God smirked at the shocked reaction that Kim gave her.
"I..I thought you were..."
"Dead? Yeah. That happened. But now I'm back, and more powerful than ever!"Reni added a manic laugh for effect.
Fear blossomed in Nano's eyes as she started to close the gate.
"Oh no you don't!"Reni laughed as she shot ice shards at the door, stopping Kim in her tracks.
"Don't disturb my plans. Bitch."Kim snarled.
"Ohohoho~What do we have here? Do you really think you can beat me, little miss assassin?"Reni taunted.
"How do you know that?"Kim growled, securing a fighting stance as Reni floated in the air.
"Something called skill."
Kim made a battle cry as she lunged at the Demi-God, a dagger in her palm. Reni dodged with ease as Kim brought out a red matter sword.
"Oh. Um, I don't really like those."Reni pointed at the blade.
"Good."Kim seethed as she swung her sword for Reni's neck. Reni ducked and froze Kim's feet to the ground.
"You are no match for me, little one."Reni purred."The elements are on my side."
Kim cursed under her breath and in a final attempt to swing her sword, the blade found itself in Reni's leg.
Reni was the one who cursed this time, and she pulled the sword out and limped towards the tower she could sense Duncan in. She dragged her injured leg behind her, spelling blood across the wooden flooring. Duncan's hums came from upstairs.

"R-Reni?!"Duncan dropped the wrench he was holding."Reni!"He tackled her into a hug and she grimaced.
"Reni... You're injured!"He clasped Reni's hand and took her to bandage it.
"Who did this?"
"The little attitude of a stray cat you adopted."She replied.
"Kim?!"He exclaimed, eyes wide."No way. Seems the most nice and timid person I know!"
"Well, you're an idiot, then. You saw right through me."
"I suppose that makes you the idiot."Duncan said as his eyes softened."But... Idiot or not, I really missed you... No matter how much I told myself to move on, I just couldn't. You... You mean the world to me."
"Duncan... You have to understand why I came to your castle. I need you to sign a alliance treaty with the Blackrock crew."
Duncan's face was clouded with guilt."Of course of course. It is... The least I can do."
Reni smiled."Good. Tomorrow, Blackrock. You may want to go an rescue your lying friend, though."
And before Duncan could reply, she teleported to the rebuilt Blackrock hold.
She found Rythian and smiled."It's done. He will come here tomorrow. Be prepared for.. Anything."
Rythian nodded and walked off into the base, Reni followed. He went deep into the mine and used his destruction catalyst to carve out a room. With a complicated magical gesture, Rythian summoned an army of skeletons, armed with shields and steel swords. One was even holding a katar. Reni smiled and flourished her hand. Tiny ice crowns were placed on all of their heads."Perfect."Rythian smiled under his mask as he sealed the room and headed back up.
The Blackrock crew all slept a restless sleep as Reni say on the room, staring at the moon.
Something was coming. And It would kill everything. And Reni had to do something about it. So she flew off into the night.
She didn't fluff before she saw it. It was everywhere. It was... Almost frightening. Creeping closer, inch by inch, was the pale yellow sand, and a metallic hand in the distance.
