Delhi

Vikram and Poonam returned to Delhi. The driver had been waiting for their arrival, Vikram was surprised as he expected Aarav to be at the airport to pick them up.

Vikram opened the door and made her sit inside. He sat down beside her and the driver drove off towards home. "Vikram tumne toh kaha tha Aaru aayega."

"haan mujhe toh wahi laga.. ghar mein intezar kar raha hoga tumhara" he said with a smile.

Poonam had a strange feeling. The car stopped in front of the house and they got out of the car. The main door was opened and Maria along with other servants was standing to welcome her. Poonam walks towards the entrance with Vikram.

Maria weclomed Poonam as per ritual. She heads to her room and admires seeing it. It was beautifully decorated and at a corner small baby room was created. It was the way she wanted it to be.

She finds the note "khayal rakhna apna bhi aur bhai ka bhi"

Poonam shouts "Vikram"

He comes in a while hearing her loud voice. He questions her "kya hua Poonam?"

"Aaru kahan hai?" she asked panicking

"yahi hoga" he said

"nahi.. Use phone karo" she demanded.

"aisa kyun kah rahi ho tum? office gaya hoga na.." Vikram spoke

Poonam denied "nahi.. office nahi gaya hai tum phone karo na" she yelled at him.

Vikram calls him but it is switched off.

He shook his head "nahi utha raha phone"

Vikram goes to his room and locks around. He opens the wardrobe and finds his clothes missing.

He turns and sees a note on the dressing table. He picks it up and reads it.

"bhai 6 saal bahut lamba waqt hai, aapne mera pagalpan bardasht kiya. Aapne aur bhabhi maa be bahut kuch sacrifice kiya hai mere liye. Mujhe sabse bachake rakha aur badle mei maine kya diya aapko? Aap par maine haath uthaya aapka gala dabaya.. Bhabhi maa ne bhi bache ke baare mein nahi bataya aapko sirf uss vachan ki wajah se jo aapne mere liye liya tha.. Lekin ab waqt hai aap bhabhi maa aur apne hone waale bache ke baare mei socho.. bahut meri fikar kar li apna aur bhabhi maa ka khayal rakhna. Janta hun aapko abhi mujhpe bahut gussa aa raha hoga.." Vikram shook his head in yes with tears brimming down his eyes. "aur mujhe khudpe aaya jab aapne mujhe unn 6 saalo ki baatein batayie.. beemari mei hi sahi par maine apne ram jaise bhai pe haath uthaya bhabhi maa tak ko nahi choda maine. Meri wajah se aap dono ko bahut takleef hui hai ab waqt hai aap dono ko khush rehne ka." Vikram sits down on the bed with thud.

Poonam looked at him and questioned "Vikram kya hua kya hai note mei haan?"

He was silent, Poonam snatched the note from his hand and read the paragraph. She is left stunned reading it. He sees a file on the bed, he picks it up, and flips the pages.

"yeh ghar wo bache ke naam karke chala gaya hai Poonam.." he said. She takes the file from his hand and reads the note.

"chachu ki taraf se ek chota sa gift!"

Vikram eyed her "bahut samajhaya tha Poonam usey jo bhi kiya usne sab galat dawaiyon ki wajah se tha! mujhe laga samajh gaya hoga lekin" he sighed deeply.

Poonam stared at him "tum dono bhai ek jaise ho! selfish... wo mujhe yahan leke aaya tumhe akele sambhalne ke liye aur khud ghar chodke bhaag gaya" she said angrily

Vikram gets up from bed and said "Poonam mujhe nahi pata tha uske mann mei yeh sab chal raha hai"

"pata hai kya tumhe Vikram? Kaan kholke sunlo iske aane se pehle Aaru ghar mein hona chahiye samjhe" she warns him placing her hand around her belly.

Vikram made her sit on the bed and grabbed her hands gently. He tries to calm down her anger "Poonam shant ho jao yahi kahi gaya hoga main laata hun na use"

She grabbed his collars and shot a deadly glare. "You better get him in front of my eyes warna main tumhe maar daalungi!" she pushes him away. Vikram sighed in disappointment.

She eyed him again "jao naaa dundhke lao mere Aaru ko" she pointed towards the exit door.

He got up and walked out of the room.

He called him but his phone was switched off. Vikram also got furious with this act of his "ek baar mile na toh hadiyan tod dunga iski bhaagne ke layak hi nahi rahega.. Iske chakkar mei mujhe daant padti hai biwi se"

He got in touch with a few people who might know about his whereabouts but it went in vain.

Poonam remembers the phone calls from the doctor. She immediately called him and asked "Doctor Aaru!"

"Poonam thank god tumne mujhe call back kiya! ek mahine se Aarav apni appointments postponed kare jaa raha hai.. mujhe nahi pata hai tumhare aur Vikram ke beech sab thik hua ki nahi par please usey samjhao iss week aa jaye hospital stress ki wajah se bahut sardard ho raha hai use so I need to make sure everything is fine.." he said in concern.

"ji... ji" she said and ended the call.

She called Maria and asked her "kya hua mere aur Vikram ke peeche"

She was silent, Poonam said "main Aaru ko ache se jante hun wo aisa bachpana nahi karega."

Maria replied "bhabhi mujhe sach mein kuch nahi pata.." Poonam read her eyes and clearly showed she is lying.

"hmm toh usne batane se mana kia hai?" she asked

She shook her head in yes. She sighed in disappointed.

Vikram searched for him at all the possible locations but couldn't find him. He returns home at late night and finds Poonam sleeping on the couch while waiting for him.

She woke up with his presence, she asked with curiosity "mila?"

He denied "nahi.. pata nahi kaha chala gaya.. " he sat down on the floor and placed his head on her lap. Tears slipped down his eyes and she caressed his head "ek mahina uspe dhyan nahi diya toh aise karega kya? wo meri family nahi hai kya? main kaise rahunga uske bina? itna bhi nahi socha usne.."

"wo bhi galat nahi hai na Vikram! tumne mujhpe vishwas nahi kiya toh main kitna hurt hui thi. aur use jab pata chala ki uski wajah se anjaane mei hi sahi tumhe chot lagi hai mujhe lagi hai use guilt hoga na.." she said

He looked up at her "tumhe ab bhi uska saath dena hai wo har baar sahi nahi ho sakta Poonam!"

"sahi galat se zyada zaroori hai yeh pata karna ki Aaru kaha jaa sakta hai.. aur yeh baat tumhe pata zaroor hogi toh socho thande deemag se" she said cupping his face.

Vikram tries to remember where Aarav could be. "agar yahan nahi hai toh Aaru sirf ek hi jagah jaa sakta hai Poonam." he said

Poonam smiled "kahan?"

"main leke aata hun use mujhe pata hai Aaru kaha hai" he said with confident. He got up and she grabbed his hand "main bhi chalungi"

"nahi tum aaram karo" she said

"mujhe tum dono pe bharosa nahi hai! I am coming with you" she shouted at him.

"thik hai..' he agreed as he knew she would be tensed till he didn't get him. She also informed him about Aarav skipping his appointments.

"isliye kaha tha tumse ek baar doctor se confirm karlo par nahi meri baat kyun sunoge tum?" she scolded him.

"Poonam mujhe kyu dant rahi ho? galti uski hai" he said

"bhai toh tum ho na uske.. zimmedari tumhari hai uska khayal rakhne ki" She confronted him

He just listened to her, he knew she was having mood swings because of pregnancy. He stops the car at the restaurant and said "Chalo kuch khalo"

"nahi mujhe nahi khana hai" she denied

"Poonam bhook mujhe bhi nahi hai par baby ke liye kha lo please" he requests her

She gets teary eyes "baby ko pata hai uski mumma uske chachu se usse zyada pyaar karti hai! toh jabtak chachu nahi milenge hum dono kuch nahi khayenge" 

"ye kya zid hai Poonam!" he said in concern

"haan hai zid meri.. pure 72 hours bhooki thi main jab Aaru zindagi aur maut se ladh raha tha.. samjhe tum! chup chap waha leke chalo jahan Aaru hai" she said

"Aaru ke liye hi khalo" he said

Poonam sighed deeply, she finally got out of the car and they ate something. Poonam coughed a bit, and Vikram gave her water to drink. He lightly tapped her back "thik ho na" 

"haan main thik hun aur nahi khana hai mujhe chalo ab" she said and walked towards the car. Vikram paid the bill and walked behind her.

He noticed her crying, he turned her around and she asked "are thik hua toh aaya tha mere paas maafi mangi.. maine samjhaya mere liye khana bhi banaya usne.. aur ab main ghar laut aayi toh aise chala gya! ab use apni bhabhi maa nahi chahiye haan?" 

"mujhe nahi pata Poonam.. Mujhe bas itna pata hai agar uski wajah se tujhe ya mujhe koi takleef hogi toh wo sahen nahi karega.." he said with a smile

"chalyie ab baithye aur thoda jaldi chalo" she said. 

He nodded and she sat inside the car. Vikram thought "I just hope tu wahi hai Aaru.. Bas ek baar mil phir jo tujhe pitunga na main.. Kahi jaane ka naam nahi lega tu"

He sits inside and heads towards the destination.  

The work was conducted and Aarav had been doing the inspection. It was cold, so he quickly went to the tent and put on his jacket. He stepped out again and sat down on the chair looking at the construction in front of him. 

The manager came and placed the wood in front of him. Aarav thanked him, and he quickly arranged it into a bone fire to feel the warmth of it around him.

"sir main aapke liye hotel book kar deta hun na.." he said

"nahi mujhe yahi acha lagta hai aap jaake please kaam dekhiye" Aarav informed him. The manager sighed in disappointment and left from there. 

Aarav thought "bahut gussa hone bhai aur bhabhi ek baar phone karke bata deta hun"

He took out his phone and was about to call but stopped "nahi.. phir toh mujhe mana hi lenge aur main chala bhi jaunga wapas!"
