Poonam reached the office to hand over the report to Vikram. The manager came to her and smiled "hello Poonam"

"Hey Sharad! Where is Vikram sir?" she asked as she found his chamber locked.

"Sir toh wapas delhi chale gaye kal" he replied which shocked Poonam.

"Kya? Achanak kyun?" she questioned

Sharad smiled and said "sir toh kuch dino ke liye toh aate hai Pune mein.. Ab toh agle month hi aayenge lao report"

Poonam hands him the report and leaves the office in disappointment. Vikram didn't even informed her that he is leaving for Delhi.

She sat inside the auto and headed towards home. Her phone beeped and there was a message from Vikram "Sorry kal bataya nahi wapas jaa raha hun.. Bata deta toh tum upset ho jaati aur apne saamne tumhe upset nahi dekh paata main!"

Within seconds her anger melted, she reached her flat and sat down on the couch. She recalled the time she had spent with him. She picked up her phone and was about to call him but changed her mind. He didn't inform her first, he is heading back to Delhi and then just sent a text message.

Here, Vikram was in the office. He was working but simultanously he kept on looking at his phone. He expected Poonam to call him after reading his text message. He thought she might be angry at him for leaving without informing her. He picked up his phone and called her but she wasn't answering.

"Lagta hai naraz hai" he assumed but then he thought why would she be upset with him? He was actually missing her and a sweet smile curved up his lips remembering the time he had spent with her in Pune.

....

Poonam was standing at the bus stop, she saw a car stopping in front of her. For a moment, she thought it is Vikram's car but her hopes shattered when another girl sat inside the car. She gets annoyed as she can't stop thinking about him every single second.

She gets into the bus and sits down, she looked towards the right and saw a couple sitting. She rubbed her eyes and saw herself and Vikram sitting in the place of the couple. She saw herself keeping her head on Vikram's shoulder with closed eyes and she was only staring at her with a smile on his lips.

She closed her eyes and then again looked at the couple. She smiled sheepishly "Poonam.. Tu na paagal ho gayi hai!"

Her phone rings and it was from Vikram. She disconnects it and thought "nahi uthaungi phone ab kyu kar rahe hai?"

Two Weeks Later

Poonam came to the cafeteria, ordered her regular coffee, and sat down at the table. She was scrolling through her phone and after a few minutes, the staff came and kept two mugs in front of her. She eyed him and said "Milind.. Tumne shayad kisi aurka order diya hai.. Ek hi coffee"

"Nahi mam order toh maine sahi hi diya hai" he replied with a smile on his face.

"Nahi ye dusri le jao tum.." Poonam said

'Le gaya toh main kya peeyunga?" a voice spoke from behind.

Poonam tilted a bit and behind Milind, Vikram was standing. Milind leaves and Vikram pulls the chair. He sits in his place and held the coffee mug in his hand. 

Poonam was surprised to see him in Pune, the manager Sharad had informed her that he only visits once a month or sometimes three months.  She wondered why he is here again. Is he here for her or for another conference? 

"Hey.." he said.

She picks up her coffee mug and gets up from the place. She goes to the corner table and settles down ignoring him completely. Vikram moves to her and asked "naraz ho?"

She smiled fakely at him, she quickly sipped her coffee and walked out of the cafeteria as she wasn't interested in speaking to him. She walked towards the bus stand and heard Vikram's voice from behind.

He held her wrist and said "Poonam baat toh suno ek baar"

She turned and shouted "kya sunu Vikram??"

"Sorry tumhe bina bataye wapas gaya main" he apologized.

"Sorry kyun kah rahe hai aap? Mujhe batana zaroori kyun samjhoge? Main lagti kya hun kuch nahi..." she confronts him and again began to walk.

Vikram smiled at her anger, he could clearly sense the love for him behind her anger. He said "bahut kuch.."

Poonam stops at her place, she turned and glanced at him. He came closer to her and held her hand "I am sorry tumhe bina bataye gaya.. Lekin agar batake jaata toh tumhara upset face dekh leta.. Jiske baad main nahi jaa pata" he tries to convince her.

"Mujhe nahi sunna hai kuch.." she refused to listen to his explanation. The bus stops, and she runs and gets into the bus. 

After 20 minutes she gets down to her stop and walks to her building which was just a few minutes away. As soon as she reached the entrance she found Vikram's car and he was standing crossing his arms across and leaning against it.

She ignored his presence completely and passed by him. He followed her and said "Poonam please yaar baat toh suno.."

"Vikram please aap jayie!" she strictly told him to leave her alone.

He comes in front of her and blocks her way "jaane ke liye nahi aaya hun main itni door Poonam! Tum ache se janti ho main Pune mahine mein ek baar aata hun kabhi kabhi toh mahino mei.."

"Acha?? Toh ab aisa kya hai jo aap itni jaldi laut aaye?" she questioned.

"Tum.." he confessed.

Poonam stared at him, he said "pehle wajah nahi hi yahan itna aane ki par ab hai.. "

"Tumne ek bhi message ka jawab nahi diye mere.. Na phone uthaya" he complained

"Kyun uthau main? Aapne mujhe batana zaroori nahi samjha aap wapas jaa rahe hai" she hits on his chest hardly pouring out her anger on him which she was holding in her heart for weeks.

He held her hands and looked straight into her eyes "sorry Poonam.. Please aise naraz mat ho! Tum bahut special ho mere liye"

"Jhooth" she wasn't convinced hearing his words.

"Poonam I never lie.. I love you" he confessed. 

"What??" her eyes became wide hearing his confession.

"Haa.. mujhe nahi pata tumhare dil mein mere liye kya hai par I love you aur iss baar main wapas jaane se pehle hamare dosti ke rishte ko ek kadam aage badake leke jaana chahta hun" He said and Poonam remained silent at her place.

Poonam read his eyes and she could see pure love for her. Vikram expected her to speak something but her silence was worrying him.

He sighed and turned to leave. He takes a few steps and eyed back at her "yahi kehne aaya tha Poonam main.. Shyam ko wapas jaa raha hun.." he said and sat inside his car.

Vikram glanced at her through the mirror and she wasn't even looking at him. He drove off and the moment the car left her view Poonam eyed the direction. 

He reached the hotel, he gets off the car, and enters the hotel lobby. He takes the lift and presses the 10th-floor button. He thought Poonam also had a liking for him but her silence annoyed him. He made all the effort and she couldn't even say yes or no to him.

The lift halts on the floor, and he comes out and goes to his room. He touches the door of the car and gets inside. 

He removes his coat and keeps it on the chair. He sits on the bed and calls the hotel restaurant from the receiver "yea.. Can you please send a cup of tea to my room"

"Sure Sir..it will be there in 15 minutes," the person said and Vikram keeps the receiver. 

After 15 minutes, there was a knock on the door. He was on the phone call, he opens the door and said "chai rakhdo.." without eyeing at the waiter.

No one responded, he looked and instantly disconnected the call as it was Poonam standing there with cup of tea in her hand. She forwards it to him and said "lijiye Sir.. aapki garam garam chai"

"Tum..." he asked surprised.

He pulls her inside and closes the door. He curiously questioned "Tum yahan kaise??"

"Mera jawab sune bina hi jaoge?" she asked.

"Nahi.. wo.. I mean haa.." he couldn't get words. His heartbeats were horsing as he wasn't ready to hear a "no" from her.

She was his first love and heartbreak hurts which he didn't want to happen. He truly loved her and had a deep feeling she also have feelings for him.

She leans to him and whispers in his ears "I love you too Vikram.." 

A broad smile appears on his face and he pulls her into his embrace with her confession.
