Two Year Later

Mumbai

At the lavish hall, guests were arriving and the event had been captured by the media. At the entrance of the board, it was written "Entrepreneur Awards 2023" It is India's one of best award functions organized in the corporate world. Many industrialists around India attends it, Shruti was hosting the show tonight and she was nervous.

She walked backstage and shouted "Poonam..."

Poonam turns to her with a smile on her face "Shruti.."

Shruti eyed her with anxiousness all over her face. Poonam was smart enough to understand the reason for it as they are best friends for years. "Itna kyun nervous ho rahi hai? Cue honge na tujhe guide karne ke liye"

"Janti hun honge par phir bhi yaar.." she said.

Poonam slaps her arm lightly "relax tu best hi karegi"

Shruti smiled, Poonam thought about something. Shruti said "Vikram nahi aayega iss baar unhe nominatee nahi kiya gaya hai"

Poonam smiled at her "yeh toh bahut hi achi baat hai he isn't here.. warna kamkha mera mood kharab ho jaata" she said but wondered why he wasn't nominated as his company is one of the tops in Delhi.

Shruti glared at her and showed her the list of nominations. Poonam was surprised at this as in the past consecutively three years he had won the award but again this year he wasn't nominated. 

"Yahi hota hai Poonam.. Jab ghar ki lakshmi ko hi ghar se nikal diya toh downfall toh tay tha hi uska" Shruti said angrily.

Poonam glanced at her "He deserves it!" 

Her manager called her and Poonam leaves from there. She came to attend the function with the hope of meeting Vikram but he isn't attending it. She takes her place and the function starts.

Shruti comes to the stage along with another host and they began the function. "And the Entrepreneur of the Year award goes to Miss Poonam Shergill" the chief announces.

A smile appears on Poonam's face, her staff cheers for her and she walks to the stage. She takes the award from the chief and looks at Shruti who claps for her and her eyes reflecting how proud she is.

Poonam takes the mike and glances at the award. She smiles to herself "aksar log puchte hai mujhse maine apni company ka naam sirf AV kyun rakha?... aur mere paas jawab nahi hota tha.. Par aaj mere paas jawab hai! Ye unn do jano ke naam hai jo mere dil ke bahut qareeb hai.. ek jiska dil bahut hi masoom hai" she said with a wide smile on her face remembering the beautiful cute memories she had with Aarav "aur dusra jiska dil pyaar karna toh janta hai lekin bharosa karna nahi" she said recalling the bitter moments with Vikram. 

"Unse bichhadne ke baad mujhe kuch karne ki himmat mili maine unhe apni kamzori nahi takaat banaya aur jiska inaam mujhe aaj mila.." she showed the trophy.

"naam janna chahte hai?" she asked

The crowd shouted "yes..."

"maybe next year" she laughed a bit "and now Ye award meri puri team ke liye hai jinhone mere saath mehnat ki aur AV ko top pe pahuchaya.. " she said looking at the team.

They cheered for her and Poonam gets off the stage. Shruti hugs her from behind and Poonam smiles at her "It's my biggest achievement."

"Haan janti hun meri Poonam bahut strong hai.. Lekin aaj tune expect kiya tha na doh saal baad VIkram se milegi" she said

Poonam turned to her and said "sach kahu toh haan main expect kar rahi thi aaj use dekhe ke liye use ye batane ke liye dekho aaj main tumse zyada successful hun! Ye award jo kabhi use mila karta tha aaj mera hai.." 

Shruti smiles and said in scastic tone "tune abhi jo stage pe kaha na.. Wo sach hai aur ab jo tu mujhe kah rahi hai wo bas ek mukhota hai.. Samjhi tu usse kabhi nafrat nahi kar sakti kyuki tu usse bahut pyaar karti hai"

"karti hun pyaar usse aur wo pyaar hamesha rahega Shru lekin uska diya dard aur gehra hai" Poonam spoke taking a deep breath. 

Shruti nodded yes, and the team came and congratulated her for the big win.

Poonam smiles at them and said "Guys.. ye abhi shuruwat hai humhe abhi toh aur expand karna hai"

"Mam kyun na hum delhi mein apna branch open kare? Maine toh proposal bhi bana liya hai" one of the juniors said.

Poonam thought for a moment, she gets lost in the past when she heard the word "Delhi"

Shruti refuses "nahi hum Delhi mein branch open nahi karenge.."

"Hum karenge" Poonam said in a serious tone.

"lekin Poonam.." Shruti glanced at her, Poonam smiles and cross her arms across her chest "AV ki ek branch Delhi bhi hogi.."

Everyone got excited, they love Poonam and the way she treats her employees. She isn't a dominating boss and always takes suggestions from her team. She is a perfect leader and sets an example for many girls. The heartbreak had made her even stronger and she used this opportunity to find herself.

She was deeply hurt by Vikram's accusations and his behavior. She wanted to return for Aarav but choose her self-respect over everything. It wasn't her fault so why should she beg Vikram to get her back in his life?  Instead of sitting at home, she opened a company AV which sorely takes innovative ideas of new generations and old generations and together they work together to bring change to society. 

She reached home with Shruti. Poonam placed the trophy on the shelf and touched the name. She looked up at the walk and a family picture was hanging on the wall. It was the same picture that Vikram had thrown out from Aarav's room two years back. She caressed the faces and smiled to herself. "do saal ho gaye hai Aaru aur tumhara bhai ne ek phone tak nahi kiya hai mujhe.. I am sure tujhe bhi nahi karne deta hoga ziddi jo hai" she said

The next day, she boarded the flight to Delhi. She thought about Vikram and specially Aarav. His innocent face appeared in front of her eyes. She presumed he must be completely fine by now as the doctor had informed her he has a very high chance of recovery in a few months. It has been two years since her separation from Vikram, the person who made her fall in love but also gave her the deepest pain of her life. 

She takes a deep breath and looks outside at the city from an aerial. The flight lands and she then takes the cab toward the hotel Orbit. She gets stuck in heavy traffic "kuch bhi nahi badla hai yahan"

The cab stops at the red light and towards the right, there were NK associates. She was bewildered as she remembered this place to be the office of Vikram and it was named after both the brothers.  She asked the driver to stop the car and gets out. She stared at it carefully and was 100% this belong to Vikram. She sits back and smiled to herself "So it's been takeover by someone" 

She reaches the hotel and asked the cab driver to wait as she will be back after check-in. She is check-in and meets her manager. "Mam aap thoda rest kar leti" he suggested

"No Mr. Sharma mujhe kaam mein delay bilkul pasand nahi hai factory ke owner se baat ho gayi hai na aapki?" she asked while walking towards the exit of the hotel

"Yes mam.. Wo toh abhi out of town hai lekin factory ka manager aapse milega unhe sab pata hai" Sharma replied

"Good..aur aap ek baar lawyer se bhi discuss kar lijiye incase koi dispute toh nahi hai factory ke khilaf.. I don't want my reputation to get damaged" she said

"Mam main janta hun maine already lawyer ko contract kar diya hai usne kaha sab thik hai aapko bas waha ka work culture dekhna hai" he said

Poonam was impressed with him "great job Sharma.. Iss hafte tumhe chutti de sakti hun main apni family ke saath bahar jaane ke liye"

"Thank you," he said, Poonam sits inside the cab and headed towards the factory which she was about to take over.

Within an hour she reached the factory, she gets off and felt a known presence around her. Suddenly, she could feel her heartbeats increasing. She walked inside and saw workers doing their jobs.

The supervisor welcomed her and took her to the manager. Poonam saw his back, but the personality was known to him.

"Sir.. wo AV ki owner aayi hai" the supervisor said.

Her phone rings and she picked it up "haan Shruti oh God! are you out of your mind? ruk aati hun main" she rushed out of the factory. 

The manager turned and saw her stepping out. "wo toh wapas chali gayi" he told the supervisor. 

Poonam reached the hospital and saw her friend's head covered with a white bandage. She rushed to her and held her "Shru.. ye kaise?" 

"yaar you know crazily people drive bas mujhe takkar marke chala gaya bike waala" she said

Poonam caressed her head "thik hai na?" she asked softly. 

"I am fine.. lekin tu apni meeting chodke kyun aayi?" Shruti questioned

"Kyuki tu meri family hai samjhi! meeting toh kal bhi ho jayegi" Poonam said. She informed her manager of the situation and asked him to arrange the meeting tomorrow.
