Reyna

I lagged behind the group as we rushed through the corridors. I was feeling a strange sensation in my gut. I felt my own emotions, nerves mixed with excitement. Along with some other emotions that I felt extremely detached from.

I wasn't sure where these emotions were coming from, but one thing that I was sure of was that they were not my own. I slashed at several TITANS who came charging at me, but mostly I was getting used to this strange feeling.

It took me a while to register that this could be my power. I could sense other's emotions. It was kind of a useless power, if that's what it was. Why would I need to sense other people's emotions?

I barely noticed us turning around to run in the other direction.

"Leo stay here to blow the ship!" Annabeth yelled, Leo nodded and peeled off from the group.

We sprinted off of the boat.

"Leo now!" Annabeth yelled at Leo through the earpiece she had in.

And the boat erupted into flames and I felt the pain of hundreds of people dying.

Percy

I didn't make it off of the ship. I think Annabeth must've assumed that I had made it off. But I got caught in a fight with some of the TITANS.

Meaning that I was still on board when the boat blew up. So once again I found myself falling into the sea.

If I hadn't been covered in what must've been third degree burns and in incredible pain due to it, I probably would have once again observed the irony of it.

But as soon as I hit the water my burns stopped hurting. I felled reinvigorated. And then I spotted Leo.

He'd been hit over the head with something and he was drifting towards the sea floor along with all of the debris from the boat. I took a breath of water (which now I realised wasn't a coincidence) and swam over to Leo.

I grabbed him under the shoulders and propelled myself towards the surface.

Once my head broke the water I spotted my friends still standing on the dock with anxious looks on their faces. I could hear sirens in the distance, likely in response to the explosion. Great another thing they'll probably pin on me.

Reyna was the first one to spot me and Leo.

"There," She pointed towards us. I swam towards them using one arm, the other holding Leo up.

I reached them and pushed Leo up towards them first, they pulled him out and then Jason lifted me out using the winds, which was an uncomfortable experience.

"You're making a habit out of this Seaweed Brain." Annabeth grinned at me.

"I'm sorry!" I laughed and kissed her, "I love you."

"Love you too." Annabeth laughed.

"I hate to break this up, but we really need to get the hell out of here." Hazel piped up, gesturing in the directions of the sirens that had become louder, clearly getting closer.

"Yes let's put as much distance between us and here as we can," Thalia agreed. It was only when she spoke that I noticed that she was holding Luke by the ear.
