Chapter 2
Namjoon thought he was going against another creep. Another stupid, wasteful day, just dealing with petty idiots in this town. This man in front of him; he thought he was no different. He was greasy and watching very closely at two boys. Who wouldn't suspect him from being a creep?
Yeah, maybe Namjoon was being a little over reactive. All passion for his job had dissipated a few years ago, making things like these feel like a waste of time. His logic; bring them in anyway, it was easier that way. Not only that, but he thought maybe it would bring back that spark he had all those years ago.
He felt like he was rotting away, and dealing with this guy in specific... Not helping. What a jackass. He's evidently a little sneak. That was why he wanted to check his criminal records; if he wasn't lying then he could go. If he was then he was staying. Namjoon even thought the man in front of him was just a normal person.
"It's Kim Seokjin."
Since he had no ID or so he said, Namjoon turned on his computer, and searched the files for that man's name. He went over every name, but none of them were him. It was... Odd.
"This is..." Namjoon brought a hand against his cheek, staring at the computer screen with a dumbfound expression. "You're not... existent."
"Is that so?" Jin leaned back in his chair. Namjoon glanced at him, noticing his content smile, staring right back at him. He looked like he was coming up with something... What was he planning?
"... I'm going to have to keep you here for the night." Now this wasn't anything about the stalking incident, it was more about the fact that he just wasn't alive. He didn't have anything on his name. There was definitely something iffy about that.
"Is there a shower here? I'd like a shower." Jin sighed, "I don't like being dirty."
"Then why are you dirty?" Namjoon hissed, though Jin didn't seem to answer. "Okay, fine. You'll be staying at my place for the night."
"Oooh," Jin raised an eyebrow, "One night stands?"
Namjoon frowned, and then let a little snicker roll off his tongue. "I have a girlfriend."
"That's a shame." Namjoon looked at Jin curiously, noticing his eyes were wide and his ears were a hint of red. That was... a little cute. For a grown stalker man. "Aren't there showers here? For cell mates?"
"Sure, but I don't think you'd want to shower alone in the dark at night. Do you?" Jin looked around, as if thinking. Nevertheless he simply shook his head.
What are you thinking?
Namjoon turned off his computer. He knew that there were janitors around, so he kept the doors unlocked as they both went outside. He hopped into his cop car, making Jin sit in the back. Jin tried getting in the front; however Namjoon threatened him since it was the law for him to be in the back. Jin rolled his eyes and ended up sitting in the back.
When they arrived, Namjoon turned on the lights in his living room and made sure to lock the door after Jin came in. He pulled off his extremely uncomfortable shoes, knowing Jin was doing the same. "Don't mind the mess."
"No girlfriend?"
"She's most likely sleeping. It's late, remember?" Namjoon sighed and made his way into the kitchen. Because he was starving, he went to open the door to his fridge though stopped himself when he saw the note.
(っ◔◡◔)っ ♥ Had KFC today, sorry sweetie didn't make anything ♥
Namjoon opened the door anyway and saw practically nothing made. He turned around feeling a little frustrated, but saw a face right over his shoulder. He let out a little shout from the sudden strange behaviour and placed a hand over his chest.
"Ah, my apologies..." Jin backed away though his eyes never strayed from Namjoon's.
"Do you, like... Need something?"
"... I can cook." Namjoon blinked a few times, a little taken aback. A greasy, stalker creep could cook? He had his doubts... but hey, he was too hungry to argue.
"Okay, try me. Let's see what you can do, creep."

Most of the time Jin was cooking, Namjoon could not in his right mind stop staring at his giant shoulders. They were way too big. Namjoon had an urge to piggy back ride those giant ass shoulders but he was an adult, so he refrained himself against it.
"How did you manage to make this?" Namjoon didn't wait for an answer before he stuffed his mouth with the noodles on his plate.
"It's just spaghetti." Jin took his own plate and sat down on the opposite side of Namjoon.
"I can't cook for shit. And there was like, nothing in the fridge..."
"Spaghetti is a basic and quick thing to make." Jin huffed, as if it was something everyone knew. With Namjoon's embarrassment in the atmosphere, they both ate quietly. Even so, Namjoon noticed how the other male would occasionally scratch his head and neck, even a little bit on his striped dirty shirt, too. He supposed he was really itchy from not having a shower and he kind of felt bad. What if he was just a homeless man? A very handsome homeless man, at that.
"I'll show you to the bathroom." Jin nodded, putting away both of their plates.
"Thank you." He replied, following the dirty blond male.
"Erh... I don't have any clothes for you to change in." They'd be too small on your giant shoulders.
"No worries." Jin waved his hand and walked in, closing it behind him. Namjoon sighed, walking into his own bedroom. With the light from the hallway shining in, he could see a figure shift slightly in his bed. That was his girlfriend. He closed the door, and walked into the room next to theirs.
This one had a lock on the outside. He wasn't going to bring a suspicious man in the house without a little security. His girlfriend didn't exactly like this idea, however Namjoon thought otherwise. It was always safe to have this, especially if your job was being a cop.
Anyway, Namjoon walked back in the kitchen and washed the dishes as quietly as possible, even though the noise of the shower running covered most of it. What had his life come to? He used to be so enthusiastic about his job, wanting to catch bigger criminals, going out on fieldwork... Now he just wanted nothing more than to sleep all day.
Nothing happened at the station, at least not for him. He shook his head, shaking his stupid empty life from his thoughts. There was still an undiscovered mystery... Why was that man, Kim Seokjin, not registered as somebody at all?
It was like... He was a nobody.
It was confusing Namjoon. Maybe he was just messing with him. It was definitely a possibility... The only way to know who he was is to get his ID. Which he claims he doesn't have. Maybe Namjoon really did go overboard. He should just let him go when the morning comes.
A loud high pitched scream could be heard before he could process anymore thoughts. He ran over to the location he thought it came from, and noticed the bathroom door open. Without hesitation, he went inside to investigate and noticed a lady beating on a naked man with a toilet cleaner.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN M HOUSE?!"
"Please calm down, I'm only—"
"GET THE FUCK OUT RIGHT NOW!" When Namjoon came in, they both stopped and stared at him, freezing in their actions. His girlfriend stared with a little anger, as if expecting him to help her. Jin stared at Namjoon with wide somewhat alarmed and confused doe eyes, expecting him to help him. His ears were a hint of red, too, which Namjoon found something repetitive when something bashful happened around Jin. Thankfully, the broad shouldered man had a towel around his waist.
"Erm... Baby, this is a suspect I'm keeping home for the night."
Right at the sound of that, she looked really pissed. She glared at Jin, who stared back with a blank expression. "Great." She spat in Jin's face, "Another one. You're too kind to these idiots; they're going to manipulate you! You know how I feel about these things!"
"I know..." He felt a little guilty. "Why did you go in the bathroom anyway? If you heard the shower running..."
She looked at Namjoon like he was a fucking idiot. "Because I thought it was you." Namjoon looked away, feeling a little flustered and letting out a little 'oh.' She rolled her eyes and walked out, throwing the toilet cleaner on the floor. Namjoon felt like a moron now, and awkward because a stranger just saw a fight with his girlfriend.
"Ah... It was my fault. I left the door unlocked." Jin cleared his throat, grabbing the toilet cleaner and putting it back where it belonged "Uh... Why did she come in if she thought it was you?" He asked, blinking a few times as if a bit intrigued.
Namjoon let out a little laugh, finding this a little ridiculous. "Are you serious?" But Jin wasn't laughing.
"Oh." He couldn't stop a grin forming on his face. "I guess a creepy man like you wouldn't know." He shrugged kind of feeling a little problematic needing to explain, ignoring the little frown Jin made at his comment. "Sex, man. She wanted sex."
And on cue, Jin's ears slightly brushed a colour of red. "Ah... Okay. If you don't mind, I'd like to change now."

Jin was finally dried up and back into his dirty clothes. When he got out of the bathroom, Namjoon explained to him he'd be sleeping in this secured room. Apparently he was going to be locked in for the night, which made Jin feel a little shaky. "Understandable," He nodded. He looked around the room, seeing how very... dull, it was. "This looks ecstatic." Once he sat on the bed, Jin looked back at Namjoon in the doorway.
"You good?" Namjoon asked, and Jin nodded. The dirty blond boy soon closed the light, and slowly closed the door.
"W-Wait!" Namjoon was a little startled by Jin's distressed voice. He opened the door again, turning on the light. Jin looked a little shaken up; playing with the bedsheets, but Namjoon hadn't even done anything... "Do you have... A-A nightlight?"
"Uh... No, sorry. We prefer to sleep in the dark." At the sound of that, he could see the anxious look get worse on the man. "Hey, don't worry. I have a lamp if that helps." Jin nodded, unable to look Namjoon in the eye. He fetched himself to get a small lamp from the living room, and walked back in. He plugged it in the outlet near the door, and closed the light to see if it worked.
"Is that better?" He looked up from his crouching position, watching Jin nod his head. He still wasn't looking him in the eye or saying anything for that matter. "Okay." He felt kind of bad, now. What if he really wasn't a bad person? It just looked like he was scared of the dark.
"Goodnight." He closed the door, and effectively locking it.
