Chapter Nineteen: Filled with Anger

Millie's P.O.V

"...will you be my girlfriend?" My mouth suddenly felt dry. My whole body was stiff, I couldn't say a word out of my mouth. His chocolate brown eyes were looking deep into mine. Worrisome was being filled in his eyes. 

What should I say? 

Is he really worth being with? 

What if he isn't? 

What if I end up having a broken heart in the end, is he really worth it? But then again he actually cares about me, he gets worried when I'm in pain, he makes me laugh when I need a little laughter inside me, he loves me.

"Millie?" Finn asks softly making my thoughts leave.

"Yes," I said quickly but softly.

"Yes, what?" He asks tilting his head slightly.

"Yes, I'll be your girlfriend," I said with a smile spread on my lips. Finn's eyes widen at my answer with a wide grin on his lips. "Really?" He asks excitedly.

"Yes really," I said chuckling at his adorable excitement. He quickly wraps his arms around me pulling me into a tight hug. I hug him back with excitement running through me.

Maddie's P.O.V

Millie has been bothering me for several days now. Just seeing her walk past me through the halls just makes me want to choke her so badly. But I controlled myself, besides she's not even dating Finn. It's not like they have feelings for each other, sure they've kissed but that was like once, so what should I be worried about? 

It didn't take long for my anger to run back to me. It's been a couple of days since the fight happened and it happens to be Finn's day back from suspension. I happen to have the same math class as him which meant that whatever he missed I didn't. Last night I printed out all the assignments and homework that he missed from his suspended days. 

I had them neatly stacked and stapled ready for Finn. I reached the hallway that has Finn's locker and spotted Millie and Finn holding hands heading to Finn's locker chatting happily. My heart stopped seeing such nonsense. She stole Finn from me, my Finn!! I was ready to run away until Finn's dazzling locked on mine. He sent a friendly wave sending butterflies in my stomach. I waved back feeling my cheeks warm up. I decided to do a courageous thing and give him the assignment and ignore Millie. I walk up to Finn at a steady pace

"Hi, Finn," I said with a bright smile. Millie notices my presence and gives me a friendly smile. Instead of smiling back just glared. I couldn't help it, might as well let her know that I don't like her. She quickly turns to Finn letting him know that he's heading to her friends and gives him a kiss on the cheek and walks away leaving me and Finn. I couldn't have happier with her choice of action.

"Hey, Maddie, what's up?" He asks as he unlocks his locker.

"Since you were absent for a couple of days I got all the assignments and homework that you missed," I said as I hand him the stack of papers in my hand. His eyebrows rise seeing the large stack of papers. 

"That's sweet of you Maddie but I actually already got the homework and assignments done," He explains as he rubs the back of his neck.

"What? B-But how?" I ask with a frustrated tone.

"Well, you see, Millie also has the same math teacher as us but in a different class so she was able to give me all the work that I missed, but thank you for taking the time to print all this out, maybe you could give it to some that really needs it." He said calmly. His phone makes a noise making him pull it out of his pocket.

"I gotta go, I'll see you at math," Finn says as he rushes out of the halls leaving me with the large stack of papers in my hands. At that moment I realized that I need to do something about this Millie Bobby Brown, she's gonna regret dating Finn Wolfhard.

Millie's P.O.V.

I ran out of my house leaving my nocked out father behind and head inside Finn's car that was currently parked in front of my house. I quickly wrap my arms around him excited to feel his warmth again. 

"Hey Mills," He says as he hugs me back.

"Hello Mr. Wolfhard," I said as I slowly pull away from the hug and buckle my seat belt. 

"Mr. Wolfhard? That sounds odd," I roll my eyes at his dislike.

"Okay, how about Finnie?" I suggested.

"Perfect," he said with a wide smile.

"Okay Finnie, start driving or we're gonna be late for school,"

We reached the schools parking lot. I pointed out an open parking spot but was quickly taken by a red sports car. The same sports car the Iris owns. She quickly walks out of her car and flips her blond locks and glares at our direction. 

The passenger's door opens revealing Jacob with a cigarette in between his lips smirking at me and Finn's direction. Iris quickly reached Jacob and furiously places her cherry red lips against his. I rolled my eyes with disgust.

"They're practically perfect for each other," I stated. 

"True, but not the best couple," Finn states back smirking at me. Finn finally spots an empty parking spot and quickly takes it. We both walk out of the car and head to the school's entrance. Finn swiftly wraps his hand around mine and tugs me closer to him make sure my arm was touching his. I feel my cheeks heat up for his action.

"Can we go to my locker?" Finn asks with our hands still locked together.

"Sure," Finn guides me to his locker. I pulled out my phone waiting for him to open his locker. It's been a minute and I haven't heard him touch his locker. I look us seeing Finn waving at Maddie from a distance. I spot her heading toward our direction making worrisome fill me.

"Hi Finn," she says with a wide grin. I give her a friendly smile as she finally notices my presence. She only glanced at me with no acknowledgment. I know it's gonna be awkward if I stay here. I reach my tip-toes and whispered in Finn's ear saying I'll be going to Sadie. He nods with understandably. I give him a kiss on the cheek and leave Finn letting go of his hand. I suddenly miss his warmth once I let go of his hand but quickly ignored. I wonder what Maddie needs from Finn?
