Chapter Thirteen: A Day Back to Hell

Millie's P.O.V

The sound of my keys echoed through my empty neighborhood. I walked into my house finding my father knocked out on the couch again. I ignored his presence and quietly walked up to my room. Once I shut my door the thought of Finn came back to me making my cheeks warm up. 

A smile spreads across my face thinking about my first kiss. As I jump on my bed I check my phone for the very first time today. Several miss calls and messages came from Sadie and Noah. Oh Shit, should I call them? I'll call Sadie. I dial Sadies number on my phone waiting for her to answer.

"Millie?" Sadie answers with a worried tone.

"Hi, Sadie," I said softly.

"Where the hell have you been?!" Sadie yells causing me to pull my phone away from my ears.

"I was with Finn," I said calmly.

"Did he do anything to you? Where did you go? Where did he take you? Are you okay?" She asks bombarding me with several questions.

"Sadie, I'm fine, Finn didn't do anything bad to me," I said shutting her up. I hear her give a breath of relief on the phone.

"Noah and I have been worried sick," Sadie explains.

"I'm sorry Sadie, I was just busy all day today that I didn't have a chance to check my phone," I explained trying to calm her down.

"Doing what?" She asks angrily.

"I'll tell you tomorrow," She gives a stressful sigh through the phone and stayed silent for a minute.

"Fine, I'll see you tomorrow,"

"Okay, bye," I said as I hang up. I exhale a soft sigh feeling guilty.

Millie's P.O.V

The sound of my alarm clock echoed through my room making me quickly sit up on my bed. I hit my alarm clock making it shut up. I rub my eyes making my sleepiness fade away. The thought of Finn quickly went back to me making my cheeks heat up again. I jump off my bed and head to my bathroom. I suddenly hear an engine turn on at the front of my house. I went back to my room taking a peek at my window. It was my dad driving out of the driveway roughly, probably going to another bar in town. 

I went back to my bathroom and got ready for school today. I grabbed a pair of high waisted jeans with a dark orange crop top. The weather outside seemed pretty warm outside so I grabbed a dark green oversized flannel with my worn out converse as usual. I really need new shoes. I grabbed my backpack and my phone and ran out of my house forgetting all about breakfast. I pulled out my earbuds and plugged them in. Arms were suddenly wrapped around me making send a screeching scream.

"Millie, it's me," I look up seeing Sadie's blue eyes looking at mine. I give a breath of relief. 

"Ugh, Sadie I thought you were some sex predator,"

"Let's go don't wanna be late for school," Sadie says grabbing my sleeve leading to her car.

"So what did you do with Finn Wolfhard?" Sadie asks with an eyebrow raised. The sound of her engine ran as drove away from my house. 

"Not much," I said calmly.

"Not much?" Sadie questions.

"You had the whole day with Finn Wolfhard, tell me what did you did," I roll my eyes and give a small sigh.

"Well, he first took me to his place and-"

"Did you guys have sex something?" Sadie quickly asks cutting me off. My eyes widen feeling my cheeks warm up.

"What? No, we...we didn't have sex he just let me take a shower at his place and let me borrow some of his clothes that was it," I explained.

"Then where did you stay at?" Sadie asked.

"At his place," Her eyes widen this time. 

"Did you guys sleep in the same bed?"

"Sadie, we did not have sex and I'm not sure if we even slept in the same bed I just remembered sleeping in his room," I explained. She gives a disappointed look at the road.

"What were you expecting me and Finn to have sex?" I ask Sadie. She stays quiet trying to think on what to say. 

"Kinda," She says quietly hoping I didn't hear what she said. I slap her arm making her yell softly.

"What? I've seen the way Finn looks at you," She says defensively.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"Are you seriously clueless right now?" Sadie asks. I raise an eyebrow at her giving her a confused expression. 

"He looks at you like you're some kind of meal that he's ready to eat," I look at her surprised. We finally reach the schools parking lot that was filled with students walking into the schools building. I roll my eyes at Sadie's explanation as we get out of her car. I look around the parking lot spotting Finn's vintage car from a distance. 

"So what else did you guys do Sadie asks continuing our conversation.

"Well, he took me to a thrift store to buy some new clothes since my clothes that I wore on that day got ruined because of Iris." Her eyes widen again. We reached the inside of our school that was filled with students roaming around. I see some people giving me worrisome or dirty looks. Sadie and I both reach my locker. I stopped talking realizing that the spray paint that was on my locker was washed off. Sadie turns to the direction that I was staring at. 

"Oh ya, Iris and her friends were forced to clean all that shit that they wrote in your locker." I stayed quiet.

"I'm sorry I wasn't there when that happened," She says as she grabs my hands and squeezes it.

"It's alright Sadie, at least Finn was there to save the day," I said softly as I unlock my locker.

"I don't get why that bitch had to do that, like what did you ever do to her?" Sadie asks frustratedly. I shrug my shoulders not really caring. Sadie's eyes suddenly widen as she looks at something behind me. 

"What's wrong Sadie?" I asked as I stare at her shocked blue eyes.

"Caleb is coming this way, do I look okay?" She asks worriedly.

"You look fine Sadie," I said trying to calm her down.

"Hey Sadie," I turn around seeing Caleb and Finn coming our way. My heart beat suddenly quickens as I see Finn walking this way. Sadie and Caleb were busy with there own conversation so I went to Finn. "Hey Brown," he says with a smirk on his lips. The lips that I miss so much. 

"Hey Finn," I said with a shaky breath.

"You left this last night," Finn says as he lifts up his tape that I left in his car while leaning against the lockers.

"But isn't it yours?" I ask as I stare at his tape.

"Sure but I'd like you to keep it," He says as he hands it to me closer.

"Oh, thanks, Finn," I said as I grab the tape from his hand feeling his fingertips brush against mine. I stuff his tape that's officially mine in my back pocket. 

"I had a lot of fun yesterday," I said.

"Me too," He says softly, there was an awkward pause between us.

"Do you wanna hang out with me and my friends at lunch today?" Finn asks.

"Sure, are you still up with helping me out with my project?" I ask

"Definitely," Finn says with a smile on his lips making me smile back. The first bell rang echoing through the hallway making students scatter to there first class of the day. 

"I'll see you around Brown," Finn says with a smirk on his lips again.

"For sure Worlfard," I said making Finn's smirk spread into a smile making my heart flutter.

Finn's P.O.V

"You really took her to your place and not have sex with her?" My best friends Caleb asks. Caleb and I were both in my car, Caleb needed a ride to school so I'm giving him one.

"I don't fuck every girl in our school you know," I said defensively as I stare at the road.

"Yeah I know that but you took her straight home real quick, she must mean a lot to you since you didn't sleep with her," Caleb says. Millie seems to mean a lot to me now that I think about it.

"I mean you took her to a place that you wouldn't let us step foot into," Caleb explains. We enter the schools parking lot as Caleb explains more.

"So why didn't you guys have sex?" Caleb asks.

"Well, the thought of having sex never came to us, and she seems too innocent to experience it," I explain.

"Really, that can happen?" I roll my eyes at Caleb for his surprised expression. Once I found a parking spot Caleb and I head to my group of friends that were hanging out on a bench that was a the front of the school. 

"So what's up with you and Sadie?" I ask Caleb.

"Things are going pretty good so far, It's kind of a slow pace right now but I'm patient," Caleb explains.

"Sure," I said sarcastically. I've known Caleb for a really long time and I know he can never be patient. Once Caleb and I reached my group of friends I was quickly greeted by Maddie, just like every day but ignores everyone else. 

"Finn I saw what happened a couple of days ago with you and that girl who was that?" My friend Grace asks with her hands wrapped around Gaten's. Grace and Gaten have been dating for a year and it's been pretty successful.

"Oh, Millie yeah she's my friend," I explain.

"She must really mean a lot to you since you broke up with the girl that was bullying her," Gaten says while wiggling his eyebrows.

"Yeah, but she's just a friend," I explain. I hear a soft breath of relief from Maddie but quickly ignored it. "Speaking of Millie, here she comes," I quickly turn around seeing Millie and Sadie walking into the school's building. Caleb and I quickly head inside following Millie and Sadie. I hear Gaten and Grace chuckle from a distance as we both head inside. I quickly grab Caleb's shoulder stopping him from his tracks.

"What?" He asks annoyingly.

"We can't look like we're in a hurry so let's slow down a bit and chill," I explain making our speed become slower. Sadie's eyes widen from a distance making Caleb send a smirk to Sadie. Sadie's lips move making Millie turn around also with eyes widen. 

"Hey, Brown," I said with a smirk on my lips. 

"Hey Finn," Millie says with a shaky voice. I pull out the tape of my band that she left last night from my back pocket and held it up to her.

"You left this last night," I said while leaning against the lockers.

"But isn't it yours?" She asks with a worried expression making her look adorable.

"Sure but I'd like you to keep it," I said as I push the tape closer to her.

"Oh, thanks," Millie says as she grabs the tape from my hand making me feel her fingertips brush against mine. She stuffs the tape in her back pocket. 

"I had a lot of fun last night," She says with a wide smile on her lips.

"Me too," I said softly, an awkward pause spread between us.

"Do you wanna hang out with me and my friends at lunch today?" I ask. I only ever see her and her two friends hang out together at lunch.

"Sure, are you still up with helping me out with my project?" Millie asks.

"Definitely," Finn says with a smile on his lips making me smile back. The first bell through the hallway making students head to there first class of the day. 

"I'll see you around Brown," I said with a smirk on my lips again.

"For sure Worlfard," Millie says making my smirk spread into a smile from hearing my last name slip through Millie's soft lips. The lips that I miss so badly and so eager to touch again.

Maddie's P.O.V

The day after I saw Finn and that little friend of his at the diner, jealously spread through me. I've been crushing on Finn for so many years that it hurts. It all started in first grade when we first met. I remember it so vividly likes it's on the back of my hand. I was crying in the corner of my school's playground because of some girl that was bullying me. Finn walked up to me asking me what was wrong and I explained to him why. 

He wasn't sure what to do so he gave me a quick kiss on the lips. Up until that day, we became friends and he became my number one crush. No matter how attractive another guy is my heart will always be on Finn Wolfhard. I try to make him notice that I like him but he never sees it. He never gets the clues that I give him, to show that I have feelings for him. Ever since he met that bitch Millie it's been harder for Finn to actually concentrate, to actually see who he really belongs to, me!

"Are you alright Maddie," My friend Grace asks as I slouch on the bench of our school. I look up seeing her worried expression.

"I'm fine," I said quietly.

"Grace!" Grace looks up causing her short blond hair to bounce seeing her boyfriend Gaten walking up to us. 

"Hey Gaten," She says with a smile spread across her face giving Gaten a big hug while kissing his cheek. Why can't Finn and I be like that?

"Hey Maddie," Gaten says finally noticing me. I send him a smile and went back to my phone. I suddenly hear Finn's voice making me sit up as I excitedly wave hi to him making him send a small wave to him. Once both Caleb and Finn reached us I quickly greeted Finn. 

"Hey Finn," I said with a wide smile on my lips. He sends a small smile to me sending butterflies through my stomach. I scoot closer to Finn ready to start a conversation with Finn until Gace stopped me. 

"Finn I saw what happened a couple of days ago with you and that girl, who was that?" I roll my eyes annoyed that Grace stopped me.

"Oh, Millie yeah she's my friend," Finn explains. I scrunch my nose hearing Mille's name come out of Finn's lips.

"She must really mean a lot to you since you broke up with the girl that was bullying her," Gaten says while wiggling his eyebrows. I roll my eyes even more. What's so special about her anyway?

"Yeah, but she's just a friend," I explain. I exhale a soft breath of relief from hearing the word friends. 

"Speaking of Millie, here she comes," Finn quickly turns around seeing Millie and Sadie walking into the school's building. Caleb and Finn quickly head inside following Millie and Sadie. I hear Gaten and Grace chuckle as they both head inside making me roll my eyes annoyed. Someday Finn Wolfhard will be mine.
