Day 46 - Trial

A/N: So the media above is roughly how I envisioned Jungkook. Managed to find a pretty good edit even tho it's kinda crooked. Oh well. Sorry if this chapter isn't very well done. I'm down with fever. Well enjoy~

"Good morning, baby!" Jungkook greeted me as he made his way to the counter to start brewing coffee for the both of us.

"Morning" I replied in a flat tone. I still couldn't get over the image of the tattoo. Nevertheless, I try to absorb in as many positive thoughts in my alien-like brain and squeeze out all the negative.

After a good five minutes, he poured coffee in our personal mugs. He sat down at the couch beside me, his eyebrow creased as he looked at me.

"Hey everything okay?" I ignored his question. My eyes never leaving the newspaper, flipping over to the next page. "Taehyung, talk to me. You even slept at the couch yesterday"

Still, I stayed silent. I took out the paper I
secretly kept and shove it to his face. "I've been looking everywhere for this. Why did you hide it from me?" His tone raised.

"Are you the one?" I straightforwardly asked.

"What are you trying to say?" He took quick glances to the paper and then to me. "You think I'm the killer?"

Avoiding eye contact, I nodded.

"Ahh so this is what it's all about?" He leaned back on the couch "No is the answer"

I was unconvinced. "Okay" was my cold response. "You don't believe me, don't you? Well let me prove it. Yes I've a tattoo but I'm not as tall as the description states so and since when am I interested to enter a brothel?"

As much as I hate to admit it, he's right plus he wasn't at a legal age to enter a brothel. I'm sure that tattoo has a back story so I decided to ask him about it before jumping into conclusions.

"What does the tattoo represent? Is there a specific reason you did it?" He moved closer and begin talking. "So here's my story..."

It all started when I was in high school. I was an introvert. I don't have a large group of friends. I hated big crowds. I love my space you know. I thought being an introvert won't attract anybody's attention but surprisingly it did for me.

Being a transfer student, there's usually it's pros and cons. Well, the pros is the teachers love me. The cons is I constantly get bullied by the school jocks. I have no idea why. Maybe it's because I attracted ladies like a magnet, I didn't approach them, it's vice versa.

Everyday there'll be different colored sticky notes from various girls. Some anonymous, some had no shame. Can you believe they want me to have sex with them? No thanks. I'm gay and I was proud of it. That's when it gotten worse. Rumors spread around campus that I'm homosexual and people started to make fun of me.

From that point forward, instead of receiving lovely sticky notes or gifts, my locker would be filled with gooey tissue paper and a pornographic sticker of two men having sexual intercourse. Believe it or not, they even stuffed a dildo in my locker.

I felt humiliated. Like why am I their only target? I'm not the only gay at this campus. I felt infuriated as the bullying continued even after I've confided to the school head. I figured I had to do something to make me feel superior.

I decided to join a gang. I mean come on, at the age of 15, you tend be naive. The leader of the group was highly respected by the students on campus, not because he's intimidating. The sole reason is because his parents own the school therefore he has the authority to kick out anyone he wants with a snap. Without any second thoughts, he allowed me to be part of their group but with one condition.

That I've to ink myself.

Two choices: an evoker or a revolver. Evoker for the woman, revolver for man. I agreed to his terms and another dude with blonde hair started to do it. The sharp stinging pain of the tattoo gun didn't have an effect on me at all. Probably because I'm too used to all the beatings I got from those bloody ass jocks.

As cliche as this sound, things started to change. Every now and then when those big sized bullies wanted to beat me up, I'll proudly reveal my revolver tattoo. Immediately, they dashed off knowing that I'm one of them. I'm part of the strongest alpha in this campus. No one messes with us.

So that's why I kept asking whether you liked the tattoo because it represents bravery, a fresh start to my life. When I graduated and decided to enter the police force, everything went as planned. But one thing was unexpected...

He paused for a brief moment. At this point of time, I couldn't help but to feel sorry for him. A tad of guilt filled me up. "So.. What's that one thing?"

"I didn't plan to fall for you" he gazed straight into my eyes "But I did and I'm very happy" he leaned closer to nuzzle my nose.

He pulled back and apologize for not explaining it earlier. I, too, did the same for having bad assumption towards him. All because I feel the extreme need to prove Jimin's innocence.

"Well, let's go get ready for court? You wouldn't want to be late"

2pm, Court Room

I felt jittery. In court they'll go through the usual procedure of saying All Rise when the judge comes in, followed by the case we will be arguing about.

Jungkook isn't with me but instead at the back of the courtroom where he has to keep watch of the people. A small reassuring smile tugged on his lips as I glance over him. I faced to the side to at last see my bestfriend who is in an orange jumpsuit. Despite being all handcuffed, he brightly smile when he saw me.

Don't worry, buddy. I'm sure this piece of evidence I've with me is enough to bail you out.

The fight wasn't easy. Hands down to Seokjin hyung for putting fourth a clear, strong argument. After the fierce battle between lawyers, the judge needed a short moment to determine the final conclusion.

"I hereby declare that Park Jimin is innocent. He will be released at this very moment and the cops will continue searching at their utmost best for the culprit. Court adjourned"

I sprinted towards my bestfriend the moment they unlock his handcuffs.

"Jimin!"

"Taehyung!"

We both chorused. "Thank you so much man! You are the best!" He tightened the hug, tears streamed down his cheeks. Jungkook joined in whispering a congrats to my ear.

I gave a million thanks to Seokjin for aiding us. It wouldn't be possible without his help. He was grinning from ear to ear since he won this case, receiving praises from his boss who was there with him as well. We bid each other goodbye. As for Jimin and I, we merrily made our way back home. Jungkook's shift still hasn't ended so he has to resume with work.

"I'll see you later?"

"Yes sure!" He quickly peck my forehead when no one was looking. He walked forward to his colleagues but halted after a couple of steps and reverse back to me.

"Oh almost forget. I love you, baby"

"I love you too, babe"

I divert my attention back to Jimin who was smirking at me. "Ayeee so you two are together now?"

I nodded shyly.

"See I knew it!" He continuously poked my cheeks "Well anyway, thank you so much once again"

"Hey don't mention it" I chokehold him "It was my mission to begin with. Let's don't talk about this no more. You can crash at my place for as long as you want!"

We reached my apartment within twenty minutes. I told Jimin to take a good shower and grab any clothes he wants from my drawer once he's done.

I was in the living room watching a basketball match. Cheering for my favourite team while jeering at the opposing team. Jimin plopped down next to me but before I know it, light snores escape from his mouth.

I must have felt super fatigued that I drifted off to sleep as well because the next thing I know, Jungkook was already back, my head resting on his shoulder.

"Good evening, sleepyhead" he chuckled seeing how hard I tried to prevent my eyes from closing again.

"Hey you" I pulled him closer for a kiss. His phone rang as soon as I was about to dominate him.

"Excuse me, baby" he got up, agitated. I feel like something wasn't right so I decided to eavesdrop on his conversation, making sure he didn't spot me or my shadow. This was the only things I clearly got to hear.

Yeah they released him.. Be careful man.. You can't run away anymore.. They will hunt you down.. Just surrender already

I stepped out from my hiding spot and confronted him.

"So who were you talking to on the phone?"

He jolted when he heard my voice, a startled expression on his face.

No more secrets, Jeon Jungkook.
