She walks with them.
They lead her.
No one knows when
They became her guiding star.

She stares into their bloodshot eyes,
Occasionally glancing at their battered feet.
The only sound known to her are their cries
Yet she walks with them still.

She is held by them;
They leave bruises on her skin,
There must be pain then?
They've convinced her it's a win.

She is weakened by their presence,
They drain all of her.
She used to have a sixth sense
But now she's gone too far.

She gave in long ago to the demons.
The difference between them and you
Is that even though they gave her burns
They were always nothing but true.
