Your P.O.V

kaneki has not yet been awake ever since that Horrible day.

and here he is, laying silently in the hospital bed. i always visited him after and before school.

"Kaneki please wake up..." I held his cold hand in mines and squeezed it a bit tighter, hoping he would feel anything

"Times up~" Said the cheery nurse coming towards us.

"That fast?" i sighed not wanting to leave his side

"Dear," she tapped my shoulder ang chuckled "his going to get discharged this afternoon" she notified.

I nodded and squeaked a small 'Thank you' before leaving and proceding to the university.

as i walk past posts and traffic lights, something came in mind. i remember taking a glimpse of the doctor earlier,
they seemed to look so much alike..

but whatever, atleast his going to discharged later by noon..

I went to the Mini Food shop to buy kaneki's all time favortie food, burger patty i took two Frozen pack of it and went straight to the counter.

since i had time left, i hopped and skipped through his apartment door and hang his frozen food on the handle.

and with that, i continued on with the rest of my day, hoping to see him tomorrow

Kaneki's POV

I hear the beeping of a machine which
sounded lik a heart monitor.. yep, im in a sick hospital.

I tried to open my heavy eye lids and complety and succeed, still feeling my body weak and uneasy.

i heard a nurse gasped near my side holding up somekind of folder. she ran away calling for a doctor.

i closed my eyes for a second and blinked them open again hearing my name.

"Kaneki??"

i stared at the doctor who looks so familiar to me, but i forgot who..

" You're finally awake " he chuckled.

"Nurse, please do," he gave a command and with that, all the strings and tubes that was attached to me was removed.

"Thanks" i replied with a dry voice not staring at the doctor nor the nurse

"Get him some food" he ordered the nurse that left right away.

"So how are you feeling kaneki?" he asks standing beside my bed

"Im alright" I replied "i just feel 'unright' with ny body.." i added

he nods and took a seat at the edge of of my bed.

"Listen ken, as soon as you leave this hospital, i want you to go to Anteiku Cafe shop" he says in a monotone not bothering to look at me

"But wh-" before i could continue, the nurse came back in, with a try of food.

"Ah, here's your food" the doctor stand up .

the nurse placed my food in my be table thingy and greeted me 'enjoy'

how would i even enjoy this kind of food?

The nurse went on to fixing other stuff in my room, while the doctor sat infront of me on a chair with a folder observing me. which is weird, but i just ignored him.

I took the chopsticks and darted the first fish and chewed it.

at first i thought it was rotten or something, so i took the other piece of fish, chewed it, but still had the same wet-jelly-sour taste of the fish. so i didn't bother to eat that, their fish taste like shit honestly.
I then let down the chopsticks and took the spoon and the cup of corn soup that was in my tray. I took a sip and coughed everything out...

I'd honestly choose not to it.

I took the white sheet of blanket and coverd it my head.

"My Sense of taste isn't right" i mumbled..

"Well, you'll get used to it soon.." the doctor said.

I heard the metal chair move following footsteps and the door clicking open and shut.

"Uh.. kaneki-kun?" the nurse called

"Hm?" was all i said removing the blanket draped at me.

"Its Amazing how you survived that incident .."

"yeah.."

"oh and by the way, you can go home now, your clothes are on the comfort room. you can go get it now" she smiled warmly and began to fix stuff

I walked to the comfort room and got changed quickly. not to mention, they even washed my clothes. woa.

"Take care kid!" waved the nurse as i walked out the hospital room

Kaneki walked home faster as he felt his stomach growled in hunger...

Once he reached his apartment, He Saw (Y/N)'s plastic bag that she left earlier. he opend the door to his apartment and scanned the food in the bag. Yogurts, Chips, Biscuits and ofcourse, 'Instant Cook Burger' was emphasizing out of all the food (Y/N) brought.

He turned on the t.v and the channel was set to news about ghouls again. Which kaneki didn't bother to change.

he walked to the kitched and took the burger patty out of its container. he boiled water at his stove and set the the plate out.

The water started boiling and he setted the burger patty in the water..
smoke coming from the boil was going through his face.

but instead of being hungry and anticipated by the cooking, it smelled kind of weird to kaneki.

He goes back to the trash can and picks up the the plastic container of the burger which contained all the details of it.

"The expiration date is fine and its still freshly new.. but what's with the disgustung smell?! " his stomach rumbles and grumbled more, hunting for a safe food to possiblh eat. since he didn't feel safe with the smell of the burger.

~Meanwhile At Yours

You finally came home from a long day at school and decided to treat yourself with a bit of snacks.

Sitting in the most comftrable way, You opend your t.v which had the sane channel kaneki had on aswell

"Usually if a ghoul eats one whole Corpe, they can survive for atleast one whole month" The Doctor Said

Apparently, these kind of talks always cathces your attention

~Back At Kaneki

Kaneki was almost out of control, trying not to panic much still finding for food.

He took out one of the yogurts in (Y/N) plastic bag and took a spoonful of it

He then started savour it, hoping for any possible flavor

But Then...

"Horrible.." He thrown the foor for the third time in the trash bin. he puked out the yogurt in the sink.

Sighing he went back to sleep praying and hoping that when he wakes up, everything goes back to normal.

Flopping in his bed, he accidentally pressed down the Upper volume of the remote conrtol. He didn't felt that and just took his phone out about to make a call o (Y/N)

The volumd goes louder..

"But Doc. don't they survive with human food ?"

"No they don't. Infact, human food to them taste horrible and disgusting. in other words, they can't and will never, survive with human food."

this ringed in kaneki's ear, his eyes went wide, sitting up, he payed more attention to the news and dropped his phons.

"How does our food taste to these .. creatures?"

"It taste like something really bad you hust wanna puke it out. "

"This Can't Be.. no,no,no.." He runs to his refrigerator pulling out all differebt kinds of snacks and juices he could possibly find.

Everytime he drinks anything, he would spit it all out,
Everytime he would eat and chew, he would puke and cough it out.

~At Yours

(Y/N) listened more into this Ghoulish news.

soon enough, got bored and decided to call kaneki.

It Beeped...

And Beeped..

And beeped..

And beeped..

Until...

"The subscriber cannot atte d this call at the moment, Please try later.. "

"The subscriber cannot at-" it repeated but (Y/N) ended it and kept calling again.

Kaneki's POV

what is wrong with me?

have i turned into.. a.. a.. g-ghoul?

(Y/N)-chan keeps calling me and im not even sure if i could answer her at this state..

I can't even eat anything

Everythung taste horrible as hell..

Suddenly (Y/N) Called Again

Kaneki lwt out a sigh, cleared his throat and answered the call

"Hello?" he spoke pretending to be fine.

'Uh-.. hey? are you at home?" (Y/N) facepalmed knowing that's not what she was suppose to say.

"Oh y-" suddenly he thought for a moment.

"......."

Once Again kaneki sighed

"Yup! And thanks for the food, hehe"

"Do you want me to come o--" (Y/N) smiled that kaneki recived her offerings. she wanted to see him so badly and hug him tight, but she was cut off by ken.

"(Y/N)-chan sorry but i have to go now bye"

Then he hang up

(Y/N) was doubting if she had to call back or just leave him be for now...
she stares and kaneki's contact thinking whether or not to call again or maybe she was just annoying him..in the end, she just let him be.

afterall, who is she to be set as First Priority?

Kaneki tossed his phone somewhere in the bed.

he tries to be calm again...

Opening the fridge once more, the scent of bad condition foods lurked out. slowly, he reached out to a chocolate bar. Shakingly, he peelwd the plastuc off and open his mouth, shivering he took a large bite

He tried to chew and swallow as fast as he could, but just ended up running to the bathroom sink to throw up.

he was coverd in sweat with a face full of dried up tears. Kaneki then looked in the mirror to face himself
Unfortunately, he wasn't the kaneki he know..

He touched His Left Eye Only To See A Ghoul's Eye...

"This Can't Be... what happend... this can't be...."

he stares at it and not too long, A Girl with purple hair that looks exactly like Ms.Rize showed up behind him.

But this Ms.Rize was a little weird. instead of looking at a female binge eating bloddy beast, behind him was a beautiful glowing angel.

"R-rize?!" he spoke in shock, Still focusing his eyes on the mirror

"Missed me?" she smirked and wrapped her arms around kaneki's body

"W-what have you done To me!!" Rize just giggled as she wraped her arms tighter in to kaneki's body

"Don't you remember? we had an organ transplant. which means, some of my organs had been transfered inside your HUMAN BODY"

"aren't you happy? we're finally one togehter" Rize giggled happily which was the opposite to kaneki. he looked at the mirror with a horrified face.

"Accept the fact that you are now a ghoul kaneki.. accept It" Rize said seductively

"No! No! No! No!!" kaneki leaned inti the mirror trying not to belive things

"Look at you... you look like a ghoul, you smell like a ghoul.. and later your gonna be like a ghoul" Rize said pulling kaneki's Chin gently Up to face the mirror she then leaned closer into his right ear and whiperd

"You are mine.." Her voice faded away along with the tight grip of rize around kaneki's body.

Kaneki sat down and leaned on the close wall, he pulled his knees to his chest and burried his face in his arms. "this is just a dream.. This is not true.."

~YOUR POV

I've been calling for the whole hour already, what is with him!!

His been acting weird now..

and.. Oh no..

His voice!!

When i was talking to him on the phone he was too happy then later his voice sounded shaky.. Then he sigh.. Then he..

HE HAS A PROBLEM

So much to you knew kaneki much, you even know is his fine or not.

(Y/N) Stopped calling kaneki, grabbed your bagpack and went immidiatley to his place.

~Back At Kaneki

He finally stood up, his sweatshirt wet from his tears.

He took out his favortie jacket, arranged hiself, cfind his phone and carried on outside the door of reality.

As ha walked in the busy road of Tokyo, Japan, he decided to give you a text

Kaneki where are you?
Kaneki are you okay?
Kaneki did i do something wrong.?
Kaneki please answer..

And more bunch of text came popping out of his screen all from one person

Later (Y/N) recived a message
To: (Y/n)

Good Evening (y/n)-chan im fine, sorry for not answering all your calls.. i fell asleep.
But I'll make it up to you, meet me at anteiku?

Sender: kaneki ken

(Y/n) 's heart jumped up and down for joy and happiness crawling to your body

To: Kaneki Ken

Good evening too! Im glad your fine and sure i can go there right now. See there!

Sender: (Y/N)

Kaneki read your text and slid back his phone in his pocket pulling up his hoodie

he stood there standing from people crossing the street..

he didn't even notice he was begining to mutter words while shaking.
"People.. human.. girl.. boy.. old... young... children.. meat.. flesh..,flesh..,flesh" He Continued To Look Around Drooling as he mutters 'flesh'

"Flesh!" he accidentally said out loud, people began keeping distance from him staring in a scared way.

He bit his finger trying to be calm.
"Mommy? is he Okay?" A Little Girl who passed by her stood there staring at him in confusion asked.

"We don't want to get involve dear, Lets Go. come on!" The mother dragged her daughter away continuing with their lives, terrified and hoping that they didn't barge into a ghoul.

Kaneki bit his finger a bit harder rushing away in the noisy street crowd he ran for escape.

once he was a bit far from everything bothering him, his knees weakened and fell to the cold ground...

"I hate my life" he cursed, he stood tgere for a moment until something familiar came to his scent

'It smells like (Y/n)'s dish' he smiled and ran towards the sweet aroma, running, he drooled more and felt something unusual change in his left eye, bur he didn't pay much attention to that an kept running.

while running, mini flashbacks came back to him about (Y/n) and how you guys would hang out alot, especially how she loved cooking for kaneki.

kaneki laughed, he laughed thinking that Everything that had happen earlier was a joke, maybe it isn't bad at all. it was all his hallucination.

The Scent led him to a Dark small alley .. slowly, his smile faded in to utter disgust and shock.

he came to see, standing before him, was a dead corpse and a ghoul.
