Prompt: Tune

Entering the same castle for what seemed hundredth time I heard a familiar Melody. A Melody so enchanting, a pleasant, sweet Melody. Like someone is singing.

Once again I started to move my limbs in order to find the source of the Melody. Melody so hypnotizing that It almost felt like I've no control over my body anymore, it always calls for nobody but me.

Walking through the giant hallways I can see the same unknown people staring at me but they do not say a word or move just being frozen in their very spot staring blankly at me as I pass.

One hallway to other, other hallway to another I kept on walking without even thinking that why am I again in this castle?

Why it's everytime this same castle, why not any other? What's the reason to be here when I know how it will end? It will end empty handed. So why am I so curious to find the source of this beguiling Melody? Or is it my subconscious mind being curious? Or worse, all of this is happening for a reason. What if there's something hidden deep in the walls of this castle? What if this all is a signal for something else, Something deep, something dark?

All of these thoughts broke me out of my walking trance. I, for the first time stopped walking and am now aware of the surroundings.

As I'm looking around, I see that I am standing in a dark room. The same dark room where this Melody is so clear and loud, where it all ends. I started to panic and looked here and there. To my left and to my right, there's nothing but just a silhouette of an anciently designed bed, a dresser, some other things that I can't quite clearly see what are they. But one thing is sure that there's only one door, from which I entered. So I have to get out of this room before that lady walks in.

As I started to walk towards the door a lady walks in, singing. The same lady wearing a long red gown with a black cape, hood over her head, because of which I've never seen her face.

As she walked in and stood in front of me, I asked. "Who are you? And why am I here, always?"

I heard her snort, then she spoke, "So finally you are awake and aware, huh?"

She then started taking slow steps toward me as I took my steps backward. "You know that I was waiting for this moment to finally come. Waiting for you to be out of your trance and yet here you are." The lady spoke again and laughed evilly.

"Stay away from me. What do you want?"

"You."

"Me?" I asked.

"Yes, you my dear." She said and within just a blink of my eye she was standing in front of me. I watched her wide eyed in fear of what she's about to do.

She then raised her hand and put her index finger between my eyebrows and said, "Agnim!" and the point where her finger was, started to burn like fire.

I screamed in pain but the pain didn't stopped and the lady kept on reciting unknown spells.

After, I noticed a sudden flash of bright white light and the very next thing I heard was a very painful loud scream.

I am now looking here and there in the dark around me. Then I sprinted towards the side of my bed and turned the side lamp on. Now that I can see that I am safe and sound, in my own room, I tried to calm myself down while catching my breath.

What was that about? I thought.
