NO ONE'S POV:

(At the Fortress of Solitude Lex Luthor finishes making one of the super pills. Back in the Watchtower; Superman & Flash play chess while discussing what they could & should do next. As Luthor talks with the Kents, Martha tells him a story from when Clark was a child. Luthor gets out of it that Superman is a scared child. Martha replies with: "Aren't we all?" And now the conversation is reaching its end.)

Martha: Look around us. He lived when his birthparents died. He lived when his world died. He lived when his city died. He lived when his child and Lois died. I don't think he could lose anything else and live with himself.

Jonathan: It's why Martha and I are here in this fortress. Clark honestly believes he's protecting us by keeping us here. But I fear he will put the whole world in a fortress to keep it safe.

Luthor: What would you have me do?

Jonathan: When the time comes, I expect you to do what is right. You've just created the means to stop him. You've created something that will put power in ordinary hands, and don't pretend for a second that it hasn't occurred to you. All I ask is that, on that day--I fear a day may come when the world needs to be saved from our son. You have to find a way to save him too.

(On the Watchtower Luthor presents the pill to the League. Hawkgirl raises the question; "What if it fell into the wrong hands?" Superman replies with "It won't." Damian takes the pill & uses the teleporter to take him to Gotham City. Unknown to him however, Hawkgirl sees the teleporter's destination. In the Batcave, Damian talks with Alfred for a short bit & his father but it goes nowhere. Damian smacks Alfred away into computer screens & he punches Batman into the giant penny. The penny's about to fall on Alfred but Hawkgirl arrives & holds it up.)

Damian: I'm sorry...I didn't know how strong I was.

Alfred: Bruce...Where's Bruce??

Batman: [groans]

Hawkgirl: I think we should go back to the Watchtower, Robin.

Batman: No. Leave him.

Damian: Since when do you listen to Batman, Hawkgirl? Wait. What are you doing here? How do you even know where the cave is? After he took you. You came back. You came back and gave us his message. Even today. You kept raising doubts over the pill. And the penny...Hawkgirl is strong--

(He presses something on his utility belt.)

Damian: But not that strong.

(Damian leaves with the Nightwing suit. Cut to Y/N on his apartment's balcony, sitting next to Delirium.)

(Y/N): Sure is beautiful today.

Delirium: Yes. The breeze feels...nice.

(Y/N): Come on, D. You have to admit that it does feel good to be separated from me from time to time. Feels good to me. *stretches out his arms*

Delirium: If you say so. Tell me again why you have the television on while we're out here?

(Y/N): Background noise. Don't focus on that though. You get to move around a bit on your own.

Delirium: But you need me to move around.

(Y/N): Got jokes now, D?

Delirium: I thought you'd appreciate that one.

*DOORBELL RINGS*

(Y/N): Yeah, yeah. Go see who's at the door.

(Delirium slithers his way to the door & looks into the peephole.)

Delirium: It's Helena.

(Y/N): Huh?

Delirium: Helena Bertinelli. Your--

(Y/N): Don't say it.

(Delirium returns to Y/N. He then walks to the door & opens it to see Helena.)

(Y/N): Helena.

Helena: Flash.

(Y/N): Would you like to come inside?

Helena: Love to.

(He leads her in.)

Helena: Nice place.

(Y/N): It's all right. So how do you know my address?

Helena: Actually, Atom gave it to me.

(Y/N): [chuckles] I'll be sure to thank him.

Helena: Didn't think he cared about your love life.

(Y/N): Same here. If I knew you were coming I would've prepared something.

Helena: I thought about calling but I didn't know if you still had the same number.

(Y/N): One, I still have the same number. And two, you still have my number?

Helena: [light chuckle] I shouldn't have said that.

(Before they can continue their conversation, Superman appears on Y/N's tv.)

Superman: People of Earth. We have been betrayed. The hero known as Batman has taken one of our people. One of your heroes. Hawkgirl has been abducted. An imposter was put in her place.

(Y/N): He failed to mention that part of the plan.

Helena: [groans] Yeah.

Superman: Batman's spy has been among us for a week. Somewhere, Hawkgirl has been held, no doubt hoping for rescue, and we, her friends, didn't even know she was missing. Batman lied and kidnapped to get what he wanted. No more. He has taken one of friends and allies, and I am taking something of his. I am taking his anonymity.

(Batman's shown watching this from the Batcave.)

Batman: Damn you, Clark. Protocol Icarus.

Superman: Batman's true identity is--

(Suddenly all of the screens flicker black & white. That doesn't stop Superman and the League from revealing Batman's identity.)

Helena: I should go. I'm sure Bruce'll be calling.

(Y/N): Gotta suit up. I got ya.

(He walks her to the door.)

(Y/N): Hey, Helena.

Helena: (Y/N).

(Y/N): It was good seeing you. You know, out of costume. Heh.

Helena: It was good to see you not surrounded by your symbiote.

(Y/N): His name's Delirium.

Helena: Delirium? I'll remember that.

(She opens the door & leaves.)

Delirium: I'd say that went well.

(Y/N): I know, right?

(He gets a phone call & answers it.)

(Y/N): Hello?

Batman: Venom.

(Y/N): Batman? I...can assume how you got my number.

Batman: You can. How close are you to Gotham?

(Y/N): Hmm, pretty close. Why?

(Cut to Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Superman, & Flash confronting Batman. He tells them that he freed Hawkgirl & Luthor confirms it.)

Flash: So, do we just leave?

Wonder Woman: No. We're not leaving. This is your last warning, Bruce. I know you're too conceited to accept that we're working in the best interests of the world but if you, or any of your team, act against us again, we will respond with force.

(He walks away but Flash runs in front of him.)

Flash: You can't walk away from me, Bruce.

Batman: No. No, I suppose I can't.

(He flies into the air.)

Flash: Well...that was unexpected.

Green Lantern: It's Manhunter!

(Lantern, Wonder Wonder, & Superman fly after Manhunter. He knocks out Hal & Diana rushes to catch him leaving J'onn alone with Clark. He tells Clark that he's siding with Batman because of what he could become. J'onn shows him what it's like to be helpless, he knows this feeling. Diana flies in & grabs J'onn by his face.)

(J'onn goes inside of Diana & threatens to cut off the oxygen to her brain.)

Wonder Woman: [groans] Do it, Kal! It's the only way.

(Imagine Agent Venom behind Batman.)

Agent Venom: Batman?

Batman: What is it, Venom?

Agent Venom: You wanna explain why the hell you called me here to watch that?
