Wally of course remembered Eobard Thawne from his younger years as Kid Flash. Thawne was one of his Uncle Barry's first original enemies. Thawne was a professor from the 25th century who practically idolized Barry Allen. But soon that idolization turned into obsession, to the point where he recreated the very accident that turned Wally's uncle into The Flash, that being a lightning strike mixed with forensic chemicals, the same procedure Wally was exposed to as well. It worked, and Thawne got the same Speedster powers as Barry and Wally, but the procedure drove Eobard insane, to where he time traveled to the 21st century to meet his idol and go on a crime spree, becoming a "Reverse Flash." When The Flash stopped Thawne from his crime spree, the madman vowed revenge against Allen! He traveled back into Barry's childhood and murdered Nora Allen, framing his father Henry in the process. Yes my friend, Eobard Thawne was responsible for the death of Nora Allen, setting Barry on the path to becoming a forensic scientist, motivated to prove his father's innocence! So in a way, the villain created the hero as the hero created the villain. As Reverse Flash/Professor Zoom, Thawne made Barry's life miserable the same way Joker did to Batman, creating chaos and anarchy, murdering innocents, and threatening Barry's loved ones, including Wally sometimes. Barry always had difficulty defeating Zoom because he was always one step ahead of everyone.

Wally glared at Thawne and demanded, "did you sabotage my parents' car and try to get them killed?!?!!" Reverse Flash chuckled, "I wanted to get your attention somehow." Flash got mad and said, "well now you got my attention, Zoom..." Thawne smirked and said, "Catch me if you can then, you pretend hero..." Zoom sped away, red sparks residuing with his negative speed. Flash followed suit, determined to stop Zoom! He followed him, but no matter how fast Wally ran, Zoom was faster than him! Zoom looked down at Wally and taunted, "too slow, you Flash wannabe!" Wally got mad and tackled Zoom, but then Zoom grabbed Wally and threw him into a barrel roll, and the two enemies landed in a baseball field. Flash got up, and he tried to punch Zoom in the face, but the evil professor dodged his attack. Wally tried again, and again, and again, but he kept on missing because Zoom was moving in different positions to prevent Wally from striking.

"Is that the best you can do?" Zoom taunted, "pathetic. My turn." Zoom then used his negative Speed Force to create multiple mirages of himself. It looked to be around 10 mirages, and they all instantaneously attacked Wally, punching and kicking him, beating the hell out of him! And Zoom kept on laughing while beating up Wally. After what felt like an eternity, Zoom stopped, the mirages disappearing. Wally was exhausted, on his hands and knees. "You think you're good enough to call yourself The Flash?" Zoom taunted, making Wally face him, "you'll never be good enough! You're unfit to wear that suit!" Zoom then ripped the lightning symbol from Flash's suit. "You'll never bring honor to Barry's legacy," growled Zoom, "and don't even try to stop me. I'll always be one step ahead of you, just like I was with Barry. See you around, hero." Zoom punched Wally in the face one more time, and then ran off, leaving Wally bruised, battered, hurt, and alone.
