The Nullarbor. There's not much else like it in the world. One road in the southernmost part of Australia that stretches over a thousand miles of virtually nothing. The road itself is almost deserted. There's the occasional mad tourist, and the massive road trains that have to cross the country this way, but that's it. For a Speedster, it's perfect, especially with the 90 mile straight, the world's longest, straightest section of road. A Speedster could run the entire length of it and only have to dodge the occasional kangaroo or flock of emus. A road this long, this straight, with barely any traffic on it, this is nirvana for a Speedster. Sometimes Barry would often come to Nullarbor to run and to think. Even Wally would run over to Nullarbor to run and think too. It had been a week since Metropolis had been destroyed and Barry died. Wally came over to Nullarbor, watching the sun and thinking. Three days after Metropolis, Damian accidentally killed Dick. Wally remembered it well.

Three days ago...

Wally had finished talking with the funeral home employee when suddenly, his cell phone rang. Wally looked at the caller ID and saw it was Barbara Gordon, Dick's ex-girlfriend. Although the former Batgirl and the former Robin were no longer romantically dating, they remained good friends. And Wally was happy to consider Babs his friend. Wally picked up and said, "hey Babs, what's up?" And in response was hysterical sobbing. Wally gave a look of concern and asked,"Barbara, what's wrong? Are you okay?" He was starting to get worried. Barbara sobbed on the phone, "no, I'm not okay! Bruce told me a few minutes ago that Dick is dead!!!" Another gut punch as Barbara continued to cry on the phone. Wally choked up and said, "no... How could this have happened?"

"It was Damian," said Barbara, "Damian killed Dick! Oh God, I can't believe this is happening!" Wally's heart broke hearing the tragic news. Dick had been his first friend when he became Kid Flash. And now he was gone. He'd never get to talk to his best friend again, never trade jokes with him, and stop bad guys together. Wally felt powerless. "Barb... If you want, I'll come over to the Clocktower," offered Wally, "we should mourn Dick together..."

Now.

Wally thought about that day, not once thinking that the day he spoke to Dick would be the last time he would ever see him alive. Wally started to shed tears, the guilt and sadness consuming him. 6 hours prior, Roy called Wally and let him know that Clark had killed Oliver. Wally was able to stop Roy from doing anything reckless such as unintentionally relapsing. But just hearing that another mentor passing away was enough to make Wally think of Dick's death.

Wally breathed fast, asking himself why Clark would stoop this low. Killing Joker out of revenge, he understood. Wally didn't agree with what Clark did, but he understood why. But killing Ollie? Ollie was Clark's friend. In that moment, Clark destroyed his relationship with Dinah, Oliver's wife. And Wally's respect for him. He thought of how devastated Dinah was, and it made him think of Iris.

Suddenly, a feminine voice asked, "Wally? Are you okay?" Wally turned around and saw a female green Martian with long red hair, a black jumpsuit and a blue cape attached to a blue hood. Wally knew who this was. It was M'gann M'orzz, AKA Miss Martian, friend and former Teen Titans teammate. Wally sighed, "I'm pretty far from okay Megan... How did you find me?" M'gann placed her arm around Wally's shoulder and replied, "I might have used my psychic powers. I mostly wanted to check up on you. I know you and everyone else are dealing with a lot right now..." Wally gave a sad smile and replied, "that's the understatement of the year... I feel so powerless, Megan... if I hadn't ditched the suit, I could have used my powers to save Dick or Uncle Barry, or Oliver..." M'gann looked at him sadly and said, "their deaths aren't your fault, Wally..." The ginger-haired young man sniffled and said, "but I could have done something! They didn't deserve to die like that! I keep expecting Dick to call me and make a joke... Ditto Uncle Barry... I miss them, Megan..." He hugged her, softly crying. M'gann hugged Wally back and said, "I know. Some things are beyond our control. But I'm sure your uncle and Dick wouldn't want you beating yourself up about this... Just let it out, Wally..."

Wally cried his eyes out as M'gann comforted him. After a few minutes, Wally eventually calmed down. "Feel better?" M'gann asked. "A little bit, but I don't know if the pain will ever go away," admitted Wally. "Everyone processes grief differently," said M'gann, "some feel anger and guilt. But you don't have to go through your personal grief alone. I'm here for you, Wally..." Wally gave a sad smile and said, "thanks M'gann. That really means a lot. I appreciate that you kept me company." M'gann gently rolled Wally's back in circles and said, "Of course. Barbara told me that she and Roy are going to visit Dinah to comfort her. Let's go join them."
