Graduation Day
It was a couple months after Wally had gotten the new Flash costume. He was able to maintain his balance when it came to his college work and as the Flash. And now it was time for Wally to graduate from Central City University. Wally was at his home, getting ready in his dress clothes when suddenly, the radio informed of something rather urgent. A fire was breaking out in an apartment! Wally urgently thought, "I better rush on over there and rescue as many people as I can!" He immediately got into his Flash costume and rushed out of his house. A minute later, Flash made it to the 12 Espande building, which was currently on fire! Flash immediately rushed in there and went to look for any tenants that could potentially be alive. Thankfully, every single tenant was alive and Flash was able to get everyone out in time. By the time the last tenant was rushed outside, the building had crumpled from all the fire.
There was nothing left but debris and ash. But everyone was thankfully alive. "Everyone okay?" Flash asked. "Aw man," one tenant complained, "where are we going to live now?" Flash looked at the destroyed building and said, "be right back..." He then ran out, leaving the building. Flash contacted Oracle and said, "hey Oracle, I'm going to be rebuilding a burnt building, and I understand it's going to be a lot of money..." Oracle replied on the radio, "don't worry, I informed Bruce and he's paid for the expenses. But shouldn't you be getting ready for your graduation? I'm with your aunt and your friends right now..." Flash ran to the library and said, "hey I still got time!" Oracle jokingly replied, "famous last words... I'll get M'gann to help you so that you can make it to the ceremony on time." Wally went into the library and looked on every single book on how to reconstruct buildings. What was like a second to an ordinary human being felt like hours for Wally as he absorbed all the information he needed in order to accurately and perfectly reconstruct a building. It was because of his superfast ability to absorb information instantaneously that Wally was able to remember everything he studied at college and got good grades because of it.
Wally then ran up to the local hardware store with all the supplies he needed, and he ran with several pieces of wood and he noticed Miss Martian with the other supplies. "I'll race ya Flash," she jokingly said. "Let's do this!" Wally laughed as he and Megan then spent the next 2 minutes rebuilding the damaged building, and it was good as new! Flash was out of breath as he panted, "okay, how's that?" A little girl said, "my dolly was in there..." M'gann read the girl's mind and said, "it was blonde." Flash smiled and said, "the doll's on me." One minute later, Flash came back with a blonde doll for the little girl. "Thanks Mr. Flash!" The little girl said enthusiastically. As the tenants walked into their rebuilded apartment, Flash said, "thanks M'gann. I owe you one."
"You better hit the showers and get back into your graduation clothes Wallman," said M'gann, "we wouldn't want you to be late for your graduation ceremony. And I'll let you know what you owe me later." M'Gann playfully winked at Wally and flew off. Flash then ran back to his apartment, quickly got back into his dress clothes, and then ran to the place where he was supposed to attend the graduation ceremony. He made it on time while getting his robe and cap on. "I made it," he thought himself, "and only a minute to spare..." As Wally got in line with the other graduates, he could have sworn he saw someone familiar. It looked to be that man with the white hair and black eyes with red pupils, smiling evily, and more red sparks on his shoulder. Then he was gone again. Or was he? "Am I seeing things?" Wally thought, wondering who this stranger was, and what his intentions were. Wally pushed those thoughts aside as it was time to proceed with the ceremony.
The college graduation ceremony proceeded as usual, with songs like Pomp and Circumstance being played. There were motivational speeches from various professors and students, congratulating the college students for getting so far with their accomplishments. Wally was rather proud of himself for coming so far. He could see his Aunt Iris, his parents, Roy, Barbara, Garth, Donna, Raven, and M'gann. They were cheering him on, proud of Wally. Soon it was time for Wally to walk up to the podium to receive his college degree. He walked up, got his degree and shook the dean's hand, his friends and family cheering him on. A bit later, after the graduates threw their caps up in the air to signify their official graduation, Wally met up with everyone. "Congratulations Wally," said Iris, "we're all so proud of you!" Wally's father Rudolph said, "hey sport, you got something on your cheek..." Indeed Wally did. It was some soot that landed on Wally's cheek after getting all the civilians out of the burning building. "Let me get that," said Mary as she got out a handkerchief to wipe the soot from Wally's cheek. M'gann smirked, and Wally winked at her, the two later sharing a laugh together. It was an eventful day for Wally to say the least.
