It had now been six weeks since Wally last confronted Professor Zoom and the villain had been taken by the Time Wraiths for sabotaging locked points in time. Wally's job as a mechanic was going well, and he was now in a wonderful and loving relationship with M'gann. On one day, Wally was at Barry's grave in Central City, placing flowers there. His gravestone was buried next to both of his parents. Wally looked at his uncle's grave and said, "well Uncle Barry, Nora's been avenged. Thawne is gone for good, and he won't be antagonizing anyone ever again. I hope this gives you closure and you find peace." He smiled softly, in thought. Suddenly, there were two people that stood in between Wally, placing him in the middle. Wally recognized who these two were. It was Diana Prince, AKA Wonder Woman, and Bruce respectively, both of them in their civilian clothes. "Oh hey Bruce, hey Diana." Wally said in surprise. "Hello Wally," said Bruce. "How are things going with the Justice League?" Wally asked the two heroes.

"We're still trying to fix the League's reputation after the damage caused by Clark," replied Diana, "but step by step, the public's opinion is starting to move favorably, albeit slowly. Their reasons for distrust are understandable though... Many of us have made regrettable decisions following Superman." Wally nodded, understanding. "I understand that you felt unready to join when I reached out to you the first time," said Bruce, "but how would you like to join us with this new Justice League? I'll make sure there are good benefits, especially with health and other things." Wally thought about Bruce's offer. "Well... I know Roy's thinking of joining as Red Arrow," he said in a pondering manner, "and I also know Victor and M'gann are also part of the League too. Uncle Barry was practically a founding member with you guys. And I suppose the Justice League does need a Flash. Alright, I'm in." He shook Bruce and Diana's hand, and Bruce said with a ghost of a smile, "welcome to the new Justice League, Flash. Barry would be proud."

"So when do I start?" Wally asked. "You can start anytime you wish," encouraged Diana. Wally smiled and said, "how about I start this Monday? It's Friday, and I have a few heroic errands to run, and after that, I've gotta see about a girl." He smiled and winked at Bruce and Diana, and then he ran off.

My name is Wally West, and when I was 10 years old, I got struck by lightning while doused in forensics chemicals and became a Speedster, just like my Aunt Iris's boyfriend Barry Allen. With his guidance and mentoring, I learned to use my powers for good and became Kid Flash, sidekick of The Flash. When my uncle died at the hands of The Joker, I made a promise to honor Barry's legacy and protect Central City. To the outside world, I'm just an ordinary car mechanic, but secretly, with the help of my allies and friends, I find other metahumans like me, and try to stop those who could do my city or the world harm, because I'm the only one fast enough to stop them. This is my Uncle's legacy. I am The Flash.
