Chapter 3

Daisy POV

"Ok, kiddo show mommy what you can do." I said he looked at me, "Sweetie there are two things you need to know. The first is that even though I'm your mother, I'm not just gonna let you win. And the second is S.H.I.E.L.D. agents observe and adapt, you told me that you've got nothing...so read em' and weep kiddo." I said as I laid down my cards, "Full house." I said before he laid down his card revealing he had a straight royal flush, "That's unexpected." I said, "Whelp, I'm a woman of my word. Here's the key." I said as I handed my son a flash drive. "Daisy, are you sure giving a toddler something like that is a good idea?" Jemma said, "Relax, I know exactly why he wanted it so I made him a version of the key to suit his purposes." I said, "And what are those purposes?" she asked nervously.

"Cartoons." I said as we watched (y/n) watch cartoons on the wall computer, "The key he has just connects him directly to various streaming service satellites letting him watch pretty much whatever he wants." I said, "DAISY!" Jemma said, "What, I'm not paying ten bucks a month for some streaming sight." I said, "Fair, but you're not Rising Tide anymore, S.H.I.E.L.D. agents do not do this." she said, "I made you one too." I said, "Thank you! Finally, I can watch all my favorite science shows and point out everything they get wrong!" she said as she ran to her room, "Weird." I said, "Whatcha watching kiddo." I asked as I sat down next to my son. "Hey, Daisy Col...are you watching Superhero Squad?" Lincon asked, "Shut up and sit down." I said, "Actually no go get popcorn and then sit down." I said, "Alrighty then." he said.

"So wait, their entire world is confined to that one area. And they're struggling to find fourteen fragments of an ultimate weapon? And each fragment does something different despite having multiple fragments that look exactly the same?" I said, "Yep." (y/n) and Lincon said, "Weird." I said.
