Next day:

Melody sits in her room after breakfast and opens the book. She was just as sad as she was last night but now she was more calm and ready to find the final fairy.

Melody: You still there?

Book: Yes, Goddess of flames.

Melody: Just tell me who I chose for the water goddess...

Book: I can not. You must find her...

Melody: But I don't know how! I'm scared I might accidentally get someone in trouble!

Book: I can give you a hint.

Melody: Better than nothing...

Book: You know she's close to you. She has known you for a longer time than other goddesses. She understands something about you that the others usually don't. 

Melody: Can you be more specific? Their are many people who know me longer than them. 

Book: But not many that are really really close. Best of luck.

Melody: Wait!

Book: I have more things to do than just talking to you. 

Melody: You're... a book. How can you do anything?

The book never replied.Melody shuts the book.

Melody: Stupid book!.... I'm so annoyed!

Melody goes downstairs. Stella was home. She sits beside her.

Stella: Yo!

Melody: Hey...

Stella: You look down, What happened?

Melody: Nothing. That's the problem! Nothing's happening!

Stella: Worried about finding the other goddesses?

Melody: Yeah... This seems like a complicated puzzle.... I can't find the missing pieces...

Stella puts a hand on Melody's head.

Stella: Don't stress yourself too much... You'll find them. I wish I could help you somehow... 

Melody: I hope... I solve this puzzle soon...

Stella: You will. Why don't you take a small break and come with me to the lake? You'll feel relaxed.

Melody: Yeah, I can use some fresh air.

Both of them go to a lake in a nearby village.

They reach there. Melody runs to the lake.

Melody: I love this place!

Stella: Of course you do.

They have a little picnic by the lake.

Melody: It's so amazing to think that this place holds so many memories of us.

Stella: Yeah. I still remember the time when you fell in the lake and didn't know how to swim. That scared me!

Melody: But you saved me. And finally learned how to swim.

Stella: Well that's kinda true.

Melody: (Sigh) I hope I'll get to come here in the future too...

Stella: You will.... I know it!

Melody runs into the lake and starts splashing water on Stella and she does the same.

The laugh and play. Suddenly, Melody gets a cut on her finger because of a sharp stone. 

Stella: You okay?

Melody: Yeah. It's a small cut, I'll bandage it.

Stella: Okay.

Melody goes to the picnic basket, leaving Stella alone in the lake. While Melody is looking the other way, Stella screams. Melody turns around. A water dragon was just in front of Stella.

Melody: Stella!! Move away from it!!

Stella wanted to run but her body won't move. The dragon sprays boiling water at her. She closes her eyes but it never hits her. She opens her eyes to see Melody in front of her, blocking the water with a chakra shield.

Stella: Melody....

Melody: Hurry! Get away from here!

Stella: But you!

Melody: I'll be fine, just go!

Stella looks at her sister and runs away but the dragon begins to follow her.

Melody's thoughts: Did Makai do this?! But why is it attacking Stella?!

Melody :   FLAME RIBBONS!

Melody uses her recently learned jutsu to turn the dragon into steam.

Melody's thoughts: I'm at a disadvantage! I wish I had earth chakra right now!

As the jutsus collide, they are surrounded by steam. They can't see anything. 

Melody: Bad idea!

Melody sees stella's hair and grabs her hand.

Melody: Stay with me. It's still here!

Stella holds her hand tight. Melody looks at stella and the sound of water, birds, everything fades away.

She sees a silver haired child. It felt like the girl is walking away from her. The girl was walking on a path between the sea.

The girl said, " I hate you. You lied big sis!"

Melody's eyes widen. Tears fill her eyes as she yells.

Melody: DON'T GO !!!

Stella: Melody! What's wrong?!

The scene disappears and Melody falls on her knees ,on the rocks in the shallow water. Stella kneels down, holding her.

Stella: Melody! Say something! What happened?!

Melody, who was spaced out, looks at Stella. She could see a blue aura surrounding her.

Melody: No... It can't be...

Stella: What are you talking about?! Say something!

Melody: Stella! Look out!!

Melody pushes her out of the way, blocking the water dragon's attack again.The mist around them, faded away.

Melody sees a chakra string attached to the dragon. She follows it and it turns out that the dragon is attached to Stella. 

Melody: No ways!

Stella: Can you please tell me what's going on?! Why do you keep saying no?!

Melody: Run!

Melody and Stella begin to run away from the lake but it follows. They go and hide in the woods nearby. They hide behind a fallen log, out of breath.

Melody: It'll be here in less than three minutes!

Stella: What now?!

Melody: Stella, what were you thinking about when you were alone in the lake?

Stella: I don't know... Remembering old times...?

Melody: No! Did you think of the water dragon?!

Stella: I kinda did wish that I could use the water dragon jutsu like Kakashi...

Melody: That's it! You accidentally made it appear and that's why it is following you.

Stella: Then why is it attacking me?!

Melody: When it appeared in front of you, you thought of an attack it could use right?

Stella: I did think that it would spray boiling water on me!

Melody: It explains everything. All the scenarios you thought of, came to life, like the attack from behind just now!

Stella: But I can't be doing this! I am not a nin..!

Stella realized the truth. Melody puts her hands on Stella's shoulders.

Melody: Only YOU can stop it. Undo the jutsu. Just think that it's undone.

The dragon approaches Melody from behind but before it could reach her, it turns into a puddle.

They both look at the puddle in shock, breathless.

Stella: That was close....

Melody stands up, grabs Stella's hand and starts walking towards their car.

Stella: What are you doing?!

Melody: Going home.

Stella saw tears in her eyes and said nothing.

They reach home and Melody runs straight to her room.Her mom tries to ask what's wrong but Stella stops her and goes to her own room.

Melody slams the door behind her and sits on her bed, grabbing the book. She was angry and crying. She opens it and hurriedly turns the pages, looking for the water goddess's picture.

Melody's thoughts: I was right.... it is her....

Melody then opens the last page.

Melody: You lied to me!

Book: What do you mean?

Melody: You said it wasn't her! It wasn't Stella!

Book: I do not know who Stella is.

Melody: My sister!

Book: Then indeed she is the last goddess. I didn't lie. You assumed that it wasn't her, on your own.

Melody: No!... NOOO!!!

Melody throws the book away. She screams and cries.

Melody: Why?! Why the people I love the most?! How did this happen?!!!! I DON'T WANT THIS!

Melody's thoughts: Please, can I go back in time? I want to make this stop.... I'll giveaway my life, just don't make them suffer!

Melody lays on her bed crying and spends that whole day like that.

The puzzle was complete and the mission was clear but could she do this? How was she supposed to tell everyone about this? It had just gotten worse and she knew she couldn't handle this. She wasn't that strong. Physically, nor mentally.

............

The night falls and Melody is still crying in her room. 

1:00 AM.

Knock , Knock!

Melody didn't reply but Stella, standing outside the door, could hear her voice as she cried.

Stella comes in, closing the door behind. She sits on the bed beside her. It was dark in the room.

Stella: Hey...

Melody: Leave me alone.

Stella puts a hand on her head.

Stella: It's okay Melody. Don't be upset.... I know how you feel... but I'm glad that I'll be there with you. I'll look after you.

Melody puts her head in her lap. 

Melody: It's not just you Stella.... everyone is in this...

Stella: Everyone?

Melody: My friends... Su, Mie, Arashi and Lina.... They are the other goddesses...

Stella: Oh My God...

Melody: I just... I just don't know what to do... I don't want you or them to be in such danger...

Stella: Melody, I don't know about the others but... I'll gladly go with you. It's not just YOU who has people to protect... I'll make sure that you're safe... or at least I'll try.

Melody: It's not just about you guys. We all have a family, remember? Mom was not ready to let me go and now you too? Their families will NEVER say yes.

Stella: All we can do is try right?... Lets just tell the girls first. They have to make a decision...

Melody: I guess we don't have a choice...

Stella: Isn't it funny that the six goddesses came together by fate? The people closest to you are your teammates.

Melody: .......y..yeah...

Melody's thoughts: I can't! I can't tell her that it is my fault! I don't want her to hate me...I don't want any of them to hate me... I'll have to lie.... I can't tell them.... I'M SO SORRY!!

Melody buries her face in her pillow.

Melody: I love you sis!

Stella: Love you too.

Melody: Sleep with me today. I'm scared...

Stella smiles lays beside her. 

Melody: Good night.

Stella: Good night, sweet dreams.

After a few minutes, both of them fall asleep from all the exhaustion. 

Stella's thoughts: You'll always stay my baby sister. I'll always be there and protect you no matter what! Even though you're the one who does that job better.... I still remember the time when I was bullied in High school and you beat the crap out of those guys even though you were in middle school. You encouraged me to learn Kung fu and stuff.... You made me strong and I'll use the strength you gave me to protect you. I promise...
