Herobrine made his way to his office. He was greeted with his loyal cat sitting on his brand new desk, a diamond embedded collar around his neck. Hanging from the collar was a tiny creeper head pendant, symbolizing royalty. The cat mewed and pawed at the pile of papers on his desk. Herobrine took a document and read it. It was a description of a random person. He looked at the other documents. Each and every paper had a description on a different person.

He sighed. This was work sent from the Aether. He noticed a shorter pile and saw a familiar face on the first document. It was Adam. Right above the picture, was Herobrine's own scrawl.

'Revived, will live on until his time comes.'

He looked at all the other documents, they were those who he had given their verdict to a few days prior. Seto, Killia, Mitch and all that. They had the same words above their pictures like Adam. These people were already studied so Herobrine kept them in a drawer nearby.

It was horribly messy, how the untouched documents were piled up. Herobrine snapped his fingers, conducting a quick sorting spell. Herobrine requested that the papers should be sorted out in alphabetical order. Herobrine left the spell to it and got a quick shower, since he did not really take one back at Sky's base. He had been given 15 minutes to clean up back in the South but he took that opportunity to get to the dead Shifter's body.

Herobrine smiled as he quickly put on his new clothes. He surely had to try out what the Shifter had given him. He looked at his cat, who stared back with large green eyes. The Shifter only was able to take forms of those he killed. Herobrine took his time and worked on altering it a bit. It was even more illegal, and extremely difficult, but he managed to make it so that he could shift into creatures or people he's seen before.

He stared at his cat and focused.

Herobrine felt himself shrink and he closed his eyes for a moment. He opened his eyes once he heard someone unfamiliar speak, "Who are you?"

Herobrine was met with the enormous wooden desk. He looked around, the room had grown much much more bigger now. He looked up at the edge of the desk and saw his cat stare down with narrowed eyes and teeth bared.

Herobrine jumped when the cat hissed, "Where is my master? What did you do to him?"

Herobrine raised a paw. Startled, he looked down and saw two white paws. Herobrine grinned in delight as he looked back and saw a gray striped body with a bushy long tail at the end of his rump.

He looked back at his cat, "I am your master. Surprise, I guess?"

The cat leaped down and stared at him. After the tom of surprise, green eyes much more larger.

He yowled, "B-But... You were human! And then you disappeared and now you're a cat? I know you aren't a normal human but I never heard of this!"

Herobrine gave a purr of amusement. The Swede-turned-cat then said, "By the way, I could talk to every creature except you. Is there a reason behind it? I don't even know your name."

The cat licked his paws before answering, "The name my mother gave was Erin. I always thought you knew my name. Also, I have no idea either. It goes two ways I guess, I have no idea what any other humans are saying. Ever since I met you, I could only understand you. I figured you learnt how to speak cat or something."

Herobrine flicked his fluffy tail once before giving an understanding purr. Suddenly, he felt something itching behind his ear. Grumbling, he reached out his hind leg to scratch at that spot.

"Okay, the fleas are getting really annoying me. I'll change back."

Herobrine grunted as he leaned against the wall, tired. Shape shifting was absolutely draining. Herobrine looked down at his cat, Erin. He never really gave a name to the cat, he found that nothing suited him. Erin definitely suited him. He reached down and stroked down his back just the way he liked it. Erin curled into his touch and gave a pleased meow.

He gave a warm smile before walking out of the office, Erin padding after him. The Swede knew he was going to have fun with this new power. He needed to catalogue this and do research. Maybe the hybrids hiding within his army could help. He also needed to learn to maintain his form longer.

Herobrine stood outside the castle, the guards shivering at his presence. Erin did not give a damn and decided to sun bathe right there and then. His lithe body was stretched out on the steps, right in front of a guard.

Herobrine whistled, as if he was summoning someone. The guards yelped as a black stallion managed to slip past the gate and galloped right to Herobrine's side. Erin shot up and hissed at Kaizer in warning. Kaizer leaned down and gave an amused snort at the cat. Herobrine motioned at the guards with a come hither action.

A guard walked over, trembling. Herobrine ordered, "Take Kaizer over here to the stables. He is my horse."

Kaizer whinnied. The guard went to find a halter but Herobrine tapped the soldier's hand, "No need for that. He will follow you."

The guard nodded quickly and walked away, Kaizer trotting close behind.

Rive barked, "You reeked of death! This isn't possible."

Ty shrugged and replied, "I don't know either. I only remember getting thrown into a tree then black. I woke up in the morgue, Herobrine smiling down at me."

Sky laughed and joked, "Herobrine was smiling down at you right after you died? That's weird, even for him."

Ty laughed. He stopped when he saw Jason walking towards them with a concerned face.

He reported, "A body is missing from the morgue. It was the Shifter."

Sky shrugged, "Maybe Herobrine took it."

Rive shook his head in disbelief, "For what reason?"

Ty suggested, "As an accessory or decor for his nice castle."

Rive gave a disapproving look, Jason snickering and Sky was unamused and terrified at the thought. Was he really the type of person who kept human heads like game trophies?

Clear your room of anyone. I'm coming over in 15 seconds.

Got it.

Sky announced,"Alright, I have a shit ton of... Army things to do in this very room. Please leave."

Everyone stared at him in confusion. "I said leave."

Ty grabbed everyone and dragged them out, Rive whining and Jason protesting. Once the door was shut, a flash blinded Sky. Sky regained his vision and saw Herobrine sat on the floor, an exhausted look on his face.

He slowly got up, a leather notebook in his hand. He said,"Teleporting and contacting someone in the South while I'm all the way in the North is very very tiring. And painful."

Sky nodded, "I'll take note of that."

Herobrine smirked and said, "No need. It's all in here."

He held up the notebook and pushed it towards Sky. Sky took it and looked through the pages. There were diagrams, descriptions and lots of information written in a neat cursive handwriting.

Sky looked at Herobrine, and asked,"Okay... Thanks for the weird diary. How's society? Harsh and unforgiving?"

He looked down at the Royal Military uniform. He suited it, really. He added, "What's this all about too?"

Herobrine grinned and replied, "I had fun torturing soldiers again. About the uniform, my brother's death wish was for me to... Return to my duties like I had wanted. So here I am."

Sky gaped, his eyes widened and eyes glowing with delight. "Really?! That's wonderful! You can get back to taking names and kicking ass like you did before."

Herobrine chuckled, "I guess so."

Sky chuckled then said, "You best get back to the base, you might have a lot of things to do, the Royal Military's been running itself dead since you were on the run."

Sky put the notebook aside and wrapped his arms around his former mentor. He whispered, "Oh my god, I'm actually gonna miss you."

Herobrine grunted in the tight hug, clawing at Sky's back. He mumbled, "Oh, you'll still be seeing me around. I'm officially your superior, so you answer to me now."

Sky released him and smiled, "I always have."

The two laughed and Herobrine stepped back. He needed to return soon, he had just shortlisted potential lieutenant generals. He needed to pick them out and observe them some more before coming to a final decision.

Sky softly said, "I'll see you around, sir."

Herobrine grinned, "I'll see you around too, kid."

Before he teleported away, he quickly added.

"When I'm not in this uniform, it's Hero to you."

Then he disappeared.

Sky stared at the spot where he last stood and mumbled to himself, "A fitting name. Hero."
