Chapter 29

Disclaimer: I do NOT own the game 'Minecraft'. I only own this AU series.

After being slapped with low branches, Sky made it to the medical area. Just as he stepped into the make shift cave, Seto stood there, shaking before slumping to the ground. The other medics where no where in sight. Sky ran over and laid Seto's head on his lap. He observed the wounded sorcerer with concern. There were several bites on his lower body and arms. Sky could also smell smoke in the surrounding air.

Sky grunted as he felt something engulf him. He opened his eyes, wondering when he had ever closed them.

Seto was no longer on his lap but standing facing a pack of rabid wolves, shouting. The wolves surrounded him with narrowed eyes and drooling jaws, pulling their lips back to snarl at the sorcerer.

"Get out of here, run!"

Sky looked to the side and saw the other medics. They hesitated, exchanging uncertain glances before disappearing into the green. Sky swerved his head to Seto. Seto had an enchantment book appear as it levitated in front of him. Sky peered in, recognizing the runes. The scribbles glowed as Seto chanted spell after spell, some failing and others flinging the wolves away.

Seto yelped as a few wolves lunged at him, biting down hard on his limbs and clawing at his waist. The enchantment book faded away as Seto fought bare handed, thrashing his arms to shake the wolves off. Sky stood in horror until Seto screamed a spell in a hoarse and desperate voice, making the wolves burst into flames and then disappear to ashes.

Sky shook his head. He opened his eyes. He saw Seto breathing heavily on his lap. The leaves in the jungle rustled and out came each medic whom Sky saw fled. Millions of excuses and apologies came but Sky silenced them but raising his hand. Sky swept Seto's hair to the side and ordered, "Treat him immediately. Don't tell anyone he's hurt, especially Bri- Soldier Purton."

As Sky left Seto in the hands of the remaining medics, sorrow swept over him like a wave.

How will Brice react to this?

Sky knew that the blond would not get over Seto's injuries. He even got complaints from the past that he often interrogated soldiers who worked with Seto. Everyone knew that they had a rough rivalry back when they were both recruits in training. They both despised each other but after their assessment mission screwed up, they came back suddenly buddy-buddy. It escalated from there, their touches slowly becoming more frequent. It had been scandalous for a bit, soldiers whispering about how they ran away from their assessment mission because of their forbidden love.

It obviously was not the case but still, no longer no one knew what happened.

The commander shook his head off the nostalgic memories and got back to his feet and ran back to the battlefield. He was needed.

Herobrine was not doing so well, his katana was thrown far into the bushes. He got bitten several times, mostly on the neck. There was a cut across his forehead, blood blinding one of his extremely pale eyes. He had not fought a huge battle in years, he only fought mobs that threatened him in small numbers. He also never killed anyone since... Him.

But he shook his head weakly, not wanting to think about that monster. His energy was running out fast, along with his power and magic. Everything hurt, and he admitted to himself that he was growing... Scared.

He staggered to get to safety, avoiding enemies that clashed with his allies around him. He stopped, catching his breath while wrapping his blood stained cape around his neck. He was losing blood, fast, and Herobrine was not stupid. He knew it would be fatal. After a few seconds, he disappeared from the battlefield in a flash.

-

He gave a loud yelp as he collided onto the wooden planks. The wood stung his wounds as his blood poured out onto the floor. He pushed himself up and he leaned on a bed. He looked around, he was in Sky's room, back at the base. Safe and sound, but still bleeding dangerously. He groaned to himself weakly.

Jordan screeched in anger and horror as Ty was flung out of the enderdragon's jaws. Ty was flying through the air when he changed to his human form and landed somewhere on a tree. Jordan swerved to look at the enderdragon. Her lips were bloody, the metallic liquid dripping into the ocean, painting the water crimson. She gave another deafening roar and charged at Jordan, claws extended and jaws wide.

Jordan turned and flew out further to the sea. He was a smaller breed but that made him fast and flexible. He gave a surprised roar when he felt the enderdragon's jaws clamp shut on his tail, his green blood oozing down to the water, mixing with the reds and blues. He tore away using as much force possible. He could not make smooth turns and he was not balancing well in the air. Part of his tail was mangled and green. Jordan had one option left.

He flew straight up and did a rather slow turn, now above the ender dragon. He gave a roar before soaring down, claws extended and fangs bared. He collided with his enemy and bit down hard on her neck while clawing on her wings. The two wrestled in the air in blood and growls. Both their wings were beginning to tear, the thin skin ripping to shreds. Their vision was partially blinded as blood trickled above their eyes.

Jordan flapped his shredded wings one last time, sending the two beasts deep underwater, bubbles resurfacing for only a few second. The sea finally returned to its normal state, the dragons no where in sight.

Jerome stood over Mitch, amber eyes welling up with tears.

"You didn't have to... You fucking idiot, why did you protect me?"

Jerome buried his face onto Mitch's bloody military jacket in the midst of the battle, mourning his fallen friend. He raised his head and looked around, he saw many dead mobs. He then saw his friends, lying on the now bloody grass, never to move again. He saw Kei scream, shaking a dead person.

They were too far for Jerome to identify the dead. Jerome turned to Mitch. The man growled as he tore the dog tags from Mitch's neck. Jerome took his time and tied the dog tags around the base of his sword. He kissed the sword's blade lightly and gave one last look at Mitch.

"I'll make sure they pay, buddy. You'll always remain by my side."

He stared at the dog tags. 'MITCHELL DONNEL-RALPH HUGHES' was engraved under a carving of Mitch's fingerprint. On the back, it had the Southern Military's emblem. A spider with fangs bared behind a banner with a motto. Olive leaves curved around the spider and its glory. On the second tag it read the military's motto, 'TO THOSE WHO BELIEVED'.

"This'll make sure you're here, right?"

Jerome sniffed before standing and running off with a loud battle cry. The duo was missing a half, and the remaining half wept as he avenged his friend.

Herobrine clawed at his chest, wheezing. He had to use his powers. He had to check on Adam. He was losing his blood fast.

"Adam, can you hear me..?"

It was not long before someone answered.

Where are you?!
