Chapter 19

Disclaimer: I do not own the game 'Minecraft' I only own this AU series.

"Wake up or else I'll punch you awake. You honestly call yourself a soldier?"

Sky's golden eyes fluttered open. He stared at the blurry figure. Obviously not happy to be woken up, he threw a pillow at the figure, "No, fuck off, whoever you are... Go away."

The figure jumped back, "Get up, or your pretty face will make a nice mount on the castle's wall."

Finally, Sky snapped to reality. As his vision start to grow sharp, he felt a hard force on his cheek. He fell back down on his pillow and held his burning right cheek.

"Ow! Who did that!?"

Finally, his vision turned more sharp and a frustrated Herobrine with arms crossed stood in front of him, scowling.

"Herobrine? Why so angry? It's way too early for this."

Herobrine clenched his fist, "You can't just tell your superior to 'fuck off', Adam."

Sky tilted his head, "Eh? What are you talking about?"

Herobrine shook his head, "Whatever. Come on, big boy, let's train."

Sky yawned, early riser Sky was a drunk Sky.

"Hurry up, I'm not in a good mood."

Hearing those dreadful words, Sky rushed out and followed Herobrine to the training hall.

Herobrine got annoyed as other soldiers started to stream into the hall, interested in watching Herobrine train their commander. Once Brice came in, he gave a smile to Herobrine, and the Swede relaxed his tense shoulders a little. He turned to Sky. As he opened his mouth to speak, whispers came from the soldiers. Having sharp senses, he caught whispers and rumors.

"Can you believe that he's the brother of King Persson?"

"Whoa, what? No way."

"You obviously did not take history course back in school..."

"But isn't like... He supposed to be over 50 or something?"

His eyes widened, they knew about him and Markus. It appeared that they were not aware before, and he knew the culprit behind it all. Immediately, he turned to Brice and scowled at him. Brice gasped and sunk back into the crowd. Herobrine sighed and he focused on Sky again, "Show me your moves. Impress me."

Sky gave a hesitating look but shrugged. He unsheathed his sword that was strapped on his belt. Herobrine stood there, no weapons anywhere. He just folded his arms and stood with his legs shoulder length apart. He sighed and looked away, looking rather bored. Thinking he was distracted, Sky grinned and lunged. Herobrine smiled and moved to the side quickly and swung his leg. He hit Sky in the waist, bringing him down to the sand, "Your moves are too predictable. Try something new."

He paced around Sky, "Your opponent can learn your moves easily and they can avoid those boring and repetitive attacks."

Sky spat out some sand. He stared at his mentor, eyes narrowed. Herobrine did not even look at Sky, his eyes were focused on the ground. But honestly, who could tell? Sky immediately got up and lashed out in frustration. Herobrine turned swiftly, the glow of his eyes turning more brighter. Sky yelped as the sudden light blinded him. Smirking, Herobrine grabbed Sky's sword and claimed it as his. Sky landed on the sand and squinted, holding himself up with trembling arms.

"Tsk tsk. Remember what you have that others don't. Use it for once, Adam."

Sky grumbled and teleported away. Herobrine closed his eyes, breathing in the fresh air. It was quiet and a flash of golden light appeared behind Herobrine. Sky threw his arms around his mentor's neck, one arm secure under his chin and the other holding his extra dagger in front of his face. Herobrine, eyes still closed, snickered. He held onto Sky's arm that held the blade and lifted him up. He threw Sky to the ground, eyes still not open.

"Good work but don't underestimate your opponent's strength."

Sky coughed, a bit of blood trickling down his mouth. He looked up to an empty patch. He stood up and looked around, confused at his mentor's sudden absence. Suddenly, he felt weight upon his shoulders and a warm breath was felt by his ear, a familiar voice whispering, "I'm over here."

Sky gasped and swung his dagger behind him.

"Missed."

Sky looked around, panicked. He whispered, "I can't see you. Isn't that unfair?"

"This is another power. Invisibility. Also, nothing is fair on the battlefield, cadet."

Then, Herobrine appeared in front of him, eyes closed and a warm smile planted on his face. His hands were folded behind his back. He ordered, "Drop the dagger. Practical is over. Lesson time."

Sky sighed and threw the dagger aside, absolutely exhausted. His mouth felt dry, he really needed a break. The Swede was seriously going all out on him. Herobrine opened his white eyes, cocking his head and asking, "Thirsty?"

Sky nodded slowly, swiping some dust off his clothes. Herobrine sighed and raised his hand. Immediately, water floated out from the water fountain behind him and it drifted up to Sky.

"Open wide."

Sky was amazed by the floating water. Thirst eventually came to mind and he parted his jaws. Herobrine flicked his hand and the water dropped and slid down Sky's throat. Sky gulped it down and licked his lips in satisfaction.

"Stop enjoying the moment. Listen."

Sky stopped and focused on Herobrine's lesson. The white-eyed man began, "Invisibility is quite simple, really. Erase your thoughts. Clear your mind."

"That sounds ridiculous."

"Do you want me to slit your vocal chords out, Adam?"

Sky gulped and did what he was told. All thoughts vanished. He shut his eyes as he discovered it seemed easier that way.

"You did it."

Sky looked down, he could not see his feet!

"But why clear my mind?"

Herobrine sighed. He then explained, "Thoughts are just a distraction. I want you to meditate instead of having... Naughty or unnecessary thoughts, to put it lightly."

Sky's face turned bright red. His mind was fogged up with irritation, so he turned visible, "I don't have a dirty mind!"

Herobrine cocked his head and smirked sweetly, "Oh? I did not mention anything of the matter though."

Sky growled in annoyance. Herobrine frowned and raised his hand. The dagger Sky threw aside lifted from the sand and tore through the air and went into Herobrine's grip. He swung the dagger around, keeping a straight face. He stopped and raised his head, "The next power is telekinesis. The power you were eager to learn... Right?"

Sky grinned eagerly, that was true... Telekinesis just seemed so cool, and could obviously be beneficial to him if he mastered it. Sky stood straight and asked, "Instructions please, sir."

Herobrine laughed in amusement. He raised his free hand, Sky's amulet shifting in response. Sky did not notice anything but gave a blank look. Herobrine slowly raised his hand. Sky's amulet reacted by lifting up Sky's neck and above his head. Herobrine folded his fingers and the amulet shot to Herobrine's own neck. Herobrine lowered his hand and the amulet hung around his neck, dangling normally, "Take your precious amulet from me by using telekinesis."

Sky saw red and his soldiers gulped. They knew to never ever take Sky's amulet from him. The amulet was given to him before his father was killed when he was young. The amulet was the treasure of Sky's life. Herobrine lowered his head, golden strands of hair covering his eyes, a pale glow coming from the gaps. Sky raised his head and narrowed his eyes in hostility, "How?"

Herobrine smirked, "Normally you would walk to me and get your amulet. Now picture that but your gaze must be focused on your amulet. Hold out your hand in order for the amulet to go to your grip."

Sky raised his hand and did what Herobrine said. The amulet shifted around a tiny bit. After a few minutes, the amulet lifted and slowly drifted to Sky's grip. Herobrine sighed, "Too slow. Again!"

With that, the amulet shot out of Sky's hand and was hung around Herobrine's neck. Sky groaned.

After training, Herobrine left to ignore Sky's demands of water. He had summoned a monitoring charm to supervise his casualties, especially Seto so he went to hang out with Ty. As he entered the room, Ty has his head resting on his desk. Rive was next to him on the floor, sleeping. Ty stared at him, acknowledging his presence. He explained, "Adam dumped his paperwork on me... Fucking rude, am I right?"

Herobrine chuckled and leaned over to study the documents. He silently commented, "Looks boring, but the sooner you get it done the better. Trust me."

Ty shot him a glare. A few minutes of silence later, a soldier came into the room, "Corporal Ellis? There's a- Sweet mother of the Nether!"

The soldier, Tyler, jumped at the sight of the oldest male in the room. Herobrine stared at him with his questioning eyes. Tyler stood there, staring blankly

"...What?"

"N-Nothing, your high-"

"Drop the act and state your business, cadet."

Tyler swerved his head to avoid eye contact and kept quiet. Ty just watched silently from his desk, beckoning for the soldier to continue. Tyler looked at Herobrine before quickly saying, "Brice, Bash and I wanted to tell you that at our guarding shift earlier this morning, we lost our horses..."

Ty raised an eyebrow, "And..?"

Herobrine was wondering how the fuck do you lose a huge horse. He shook his head, grumbling to himself in his native language. He was done with everything. Tyler sighed and got to the point, "We need money to get new horses, sir."

Ty groaned and snapped, "What, should I get you all fucking tiny ponies? We don't have that money, cadet. All the funds are focused on the welfare of the Emerald Village survivors."

He slammed his forehead onto the desk, groaning again. Herobrine raised an eyebrow. He questioned, "Does anyone in the military know how to tame a horse?"

Tyler shook his head quickly and responded with respect, "No, sir."

Herobrine smiled, "Okay, okay. That's good. Get your comrades and meet me at the stables. It's lesson time. Again."

He clapped his hands and gave a creepy grin, "And don't be late."

Tyler gulped, "Y-Yes, sir! Of course, sir!"

He ran out the door, panting heavily down the hallway. Ty turned to Herobrine, "Hey, can I come? I'd do anything but paperwork, honestly. I'll meet you there."

Herobrine nodded and turned to Rive, who woke up and was watching with curious beady eyes. Rive stood and barked, "Can I come? I want to explore the outside, never been that far before."

Herobrine nodded, "Yeah, sure. Oh, and inform Sky to come too. He needs to know this. Can't believe military soldiers don't know the basics."

Rive nodded and padded out. The wolf had no idea what he was talking about. He was a wolf, not a soldier. Well, he technically worked for the military. He just did his work and got rewards from it, nothing else. Herobrine smirked.
