Continuing from the previous part:-

Small summary of previous parts:
Mishti a young girl move back in her mother's village to visit her ill grandma(nani) accompanied by her biological father who she hates from childhood upon reaching her grandmother's house she met Abir who introduced himself as her grandmother caretaker/nurse who seems the only normal person here as now her own mother behaving differently around her siblings especially her mother Sakshi Dobriyal. Granny gets her conscious back and divided her will among her children but Sakshi's house goes to Mishti surprising her and other family members..

Meera enter in her mother's room making sure no one saw her coming here locking the door she turn to face her mother's direction who laying on bed attached with glucose pipe and heart reader machine Sakshi looks so weak and depress seeing parent in such state any daughter or son felt sad but Meera go towards her bed and say 'stop this drama of your i know you called us all here for some scheme but this is my last warning if you try to even touch a hair of my Mishti I'll choke you to death do you understand'  she except sakshi to react but she didn't it seems like sakshi is in deep sleep due to medicines .

Meera decided to leave but stop and turn her eyes fell on the oxygen pipe attached to Sakshi she think for some minutes and taking a long breath she remove her oxygen and switch off her heart reader machine so that Sakshi be dead by morning Meera gave her mother a final look and exit the room hoping all the madness ends with Sakshi ..

Jatin trying to call his wife but there is no signal so he huff in irritation and decided to back inside house when he collide with Ashok(yana's husband and mishti's uncle)  who  say  'trying to contact your wife ?'

His question surprise Jatin a little as who he knows about his wife ! Seeing his confused face Ashok tell him 'I know you and Meera di never married with each other Mishti is the result of your two affair right Yana told me about it' .

Jatin take a long irritated breath and ask  'so you are here to fight with me about it !'

Ashok nods in no and take a cigarette lit it up taking a deep puff of it he reply  'no I don't care about what equation you share with Meera di and Mishti but i come here with a profitable deal for you' .

'What deal ?'  Jatin ask

Ashok offer him cigarette but Jatin refused so he start explaining about his deal  'see Jatin mummy(Sakshi) made Mishti lone heir of this house and by the  way Meera di ran away from this village years ago explains she doesn't want to settle down here so i have a offer for you , this house has a market value of 5cr currently if you convince meera di and mishti to sell this house you'll get money and they also use that money for future in short everyone will be happy and i get my commission what say !'

Jatin think about what Ashok said it's true Meera never wanted to live in this village he remembered how he offered her money thinking she'll go back to village but she adamant that she won't go back to village especially to her mother's house for some unknown reasons she never told him after Mishti's birth he thought Meera go back to her mother's house or to her siblings but she again told him that she won't go back so he decided to gave her monthly expenses which he can easily afford being from a rich family .,  he can continue to bare Meera's and Mishti expenses but now his wife and kids fight with him to cut off all ties with Meera and Mishti if this house really got sold in good value then both of them(Meera Mishti) never have to see his face and can lead a good life in city only .

He look at Ashok and ask  'why don't you talk with Meera yourself?'

Ashok stop smoking and answer  'well i never talk with Meera di before actually in childhood whenever i try to talk with Yana or Zari Meera di used to take them away saying there mummy won't like it after the news of Meera di's running away from here broke i saw Yana and Zari taking responsibility of this house and their mother soon i got close to them and Yana asked me for marriage which i said yes and we left so I'm too kind of a stranger to Meera di so why she would listen to me over her husband—i mean lover ! is that the correct word to describe your relation with her !'

Jatin clenched his fists on this but it's true he never married Meera it was that one drunken night mistake which he still feels guilty about till this day but he truly wants Mishti and Meera to live a tension free good life so he agrees to Ashok's proposal.

Next Morning:

Mishti come to see her granny last night she ask her maa(Meera) about her restless behaviour after coming here especially how both her and her siblings seems so distanced from granny to which her maa said that they are sad about granny's condition sure granny got her senses back but her reports are telling otherwise granny's health is not good all these medications not working on her because of her old age doctors told them to be prepared for saying last goodbye to granny and these things kept going in her head that's she being so zoned out . Mishti understands it this clears her doubts on why granny divides her will among her kids she wants to leave them with something life is so cruel sometimes she never thought she has to see her granny die just after meeting her .

She enter in granny's room only to find Abir standing above granny's bed checking her plus is everything okay or !..

She ran to granny holding her hand she ask him 'what happened?'

Abir look at her with serious face and put granny's hand softly on bed he reply 'nothing for now but if i got late for some more minutes then granny might lost her last breath her oxygen pipe broke and her machine got switched off' .

Tears filled in Mishti eyes hearing him she stumbles a little cause of it she was never a brave girl in fact she used to scare away from all the taunts and bullying she go through in her school time because of her illegitimate status seeing her granny in almost dead condition making her more scared.

Abir notice her condition and come to her side to hold her he say 'hey look granny is fine now don't get scared i know right now you feeling a lump building up in your throat that's fear don't let that overpower you if you let your fear take over how you take care of granny ? She really needs you Mishti' .

Mishti hold his hand for support and look at granny again her body looks so pale they need to take care of granny tears fell on Mishti's cheeks as she takes a long breath just to calm herself down Abir understands her and say to assure her 'I'm here for you' she look in his eyes trying to figure if he again start flirting or what when he continue 'I'm not saying this in flirting manner is just that i know how difficult is to go through these kinds of situations i lost my grandpa in childhood and being an introvert i never shared how i felt in those times with anyone carrying burden of so many emotions in yourself is hard it's better to talk with people to let ourselves and situations better besides this is my job to look after my patient so why not to do it together!'

Mishti pass a small smile and nods Abir smile and remove his hand from hers 'reeni coming in 15 minutes and she'll be taking day shifts as her exams are near so she won't be able to do night shifts which means I'll be here in night time see you than i mean granny' .

Mishti sat beside granny and say 'thank you Abir and sorry for my earlier behaviour i—-i actually i never interacted with people so suddenly and i just was not in good mood because of everything happening here i hope you can understand and won't mind about it any longer' she says kind off loosing up around him after all he'll be here for most of time it's better get used to him .

'I understand so bye and please if possible wrote down the time Mrs. Dobriyal woke up in notepad it's here' he showed her the notepad on side table and hung up his bag to leave Mishti bid him bye and look at granny holding her hand she decided to stay besides her so that she can look after her and be away from her father(Jatin) seeing his face only ruins her mood ...

Yana making breakfast when Meera enter in kitchen asking  'did you check on her ?'

Yana look at Meera disappointingly as she still not refer their mother as maa but she chose to ignore it and say 'her nurse/caretaker come in morning and when he was leaving i ask him about mom he said there were some problem in machine but he fixed it and told me Mishti is in mom's room looking after mom' .

This info frustrates Meera as her plan didn't work and she turn to take Mishti out of that room when Yana questioned her 'why you keeping Mishti away from mom ? can't you see mom seems to like Mishti's presence around her'

'And that's the very thing worries me most don't you remember how she used to behave for the things she likes around her come on Yana stop pretending that you love her or something'  Meera say in range and pull up yana's suit(ladies dress) long sleeve which covering her burnt marks she ask yana  'these all are given by her for those stupid rituals of hers she treats you and zari as her pawns for rituals how can you expect me to let my daughter be around her in fact i don't want none of our kids around that bloody witch' .

Yana close her eyes as hot tears spilled on her cheeks remembering about the past trauma her mother made them go through

Meera Yana and Zari are playing in their garden when they heard a painful groan of some bird their curiosity increases and they ran to find where that coming from so they enter in house and soon found their mother Sakshi killing a bird(crow) and collecting it blood for some ritual seeing them there she sho them away and continue doing her work .

Trio got scared seeing how mercilessly their mother kill that bird and now again start thinking about the rumours others kids told that their mother is witch some people says  other kids maintain distance from them because of these rumours but they always thought it was all lies spread about their mother as she living here alone with them in such big house people are just after their money but witnessing such horrible scenario maybe all of those rumours are true !

Soon they understood everything when Sakshi start involving them in her rituals marking them and using their tooth, hairs and nails in rituals Meera used to fight with Sakshi but she made Yana and Zari believe that they'll get powers in return of these rituals that time they  were kids so they get scared of Sakshi which she used to benefit herself..

Meera trying to calm down crying Yana as she hug her and confess  'I remember everything clearly in fact Zari too remember all of those but we just can't abandon her like this you know after that accident when you ran away she made a promise to both of us(Yana and Zari)  that she won't do those rituals again don't know how but she got connections with all the important people in village and they helped us build our families whatever mine  and zari's family have is cause of her financial support and connections in exchange she only wanted that we take care of her and in her last time we be present by her side so we are keeping our promise.

Meera caressing her hair to calm her down and thinking what possible motive Sakshi has behind all of this !

Mishti woke up  because of rain drops falling on her face and find herself in a coffin sized hole and continuous mud falling on her from upwards as if someone trying to fill this hole with mud barring her alive she screams help help maa maa help  hearing her screams mud stop falling and she saw her granny peaking in hole from upwards and laughing evilly on her ...

Mishti woke up with jerk as sweat covering her forehead she look around and find granny sleeping on her bed and reeni doing her studies sitting on her place reeni smile at her causally and she too pass a small nervous smile  ohh it's just a bad dream to divert her mind she walk out of granny's room and go towards garden
where she found Aarti sitting she was about to turn and go back but what Abir said comes in her mind  'making conversations make situations better'  so Mishti go towards her and ask  'can i sit with you ?'

Aarti look at her and say  'it's a free country you can sit wherever you want you know' .

Mishti sit beside her and start with an apology  'sorry Aarti for what granny said i didn't know that you—-'  she stop in middle unable to find words to put it in better manner  but Aarti  say  'you don't need to say sorry Mishti what granny said is true I'm adopted and I'm not ashamed about it it's just that i didn't thought granny said about it so bluntly but maybe because of medication and old age she said it and about you not knowing about us is no big deal cause we(all of Mishti's cousins) too didn't know much about you it's all because our parents didn't kept connections with each other in all these years or else I'm sure we all might grown up together'  she said it with sad smile and now Mishti understood that not only her but all of them suffering in different way in their lives.

Both girls talk with each other more and soon Mishti gelded with all her cousins which lighter her mood they all decided to go out this Saturday in nearby fest and finally Mishti is excited to go out in all these years..

In night Mishti come to check on granny and find Abir in room he smile at her which Mishti return and start a conversation with him too.

They start talking and Abir ask her 'so now it's all good between you and your cousins?'

'It's looks like that i talk with them just like you suggested and i find we all had so much in common'  Mishti says in glee .

Abir smirk seeing her reaction and say  'hmm seems like you love to be around a joint family great that do just fine after marriage' .

Mishti got confused hearing him and ask  'huh marriage?'

Abir quickly try to divert topic say  'I mean when your cousins going to marry you'll mingle with their spouses very easily that's what i meant ummm hey do you like books ?'

Mishti still not satisfied with his answer but chose to ignore it and nods .

They talk more unaware of the fact that someone watching them ...
