๑Fly Swatter๑

"What was wrong with me?" I wailed, rubbing my hands on my eyes while staring at the mound of Earth next to me. I pressed a seed into the ground and tried to calm my erratic breathing. "I told him to get out of my life, Sarah!" I moaned. "I ruined everything!"
"What did you ruin?" I screeched and dropped water out of the can sloppily onto the red ground, making it swampy and sticky. I grunted as cold muddy water flowed over my slippers and feet. "Jesus, Taehyung, don't creep up on me!"
"Sorry," he grinned sheepishly. "What did you ruin?"
"Nothing," I snapped testily. "Sorry, I'm on edge today," I muttered apologetically as he made his face into an exaggerated pout.
"If you don't want me around-"
"Sorry, I didn't mean to be mean!" I yelped, grabbing his arm and pulling him down next to me. "Don't leave me here alone," I begged him. "I'm talking to a dead body."
He laughed. "There's nothing wrong with that. I spoke to her last week too. So what did you ruin?"
"Everything."
"Yeah, I heard that the first time. Give me the specifics," He said, sprinkling the chia seeds next to Sarah's grave. I ran my hands through my hair and groaned grumpily. "My relationship with Jin."
"I thought so. It is obvious that you are fighting. What about?"
"He thinks I'm his broken toy."
"Did he say that?" Taehyung's concerned eyes glanced at me."No," I cribbed. Taehyung's eyes crinkled as he laughed loudly. "Then what exactly are you complaining about, Joan?"
"I don't know... he wanted to help with the dreams and at first it was really sweet but then after a while when it came again and again and he lost patience each time...I don't know. I just think he has certain levels he wants me to have and being slightly crazy doesn't qualify as one of them. If he wanted the dreams gone so badly he should have stayed to help instead of going in search of Ingenium two years ago. I just- I don't know what to think when he says he wants to help me now. I'm used to them. Why can't he accept that they are going to be there?"
"I spoke to him yesterday, you know," Taehyung casually said, taking my hand into his and squeezing my fingers deftly. "He doesn't think of you and to quote 'as his broken toy'. He is just worried I guess. Aren't we all?" He looked at me kindly. "He knows the dreams are a part of you and he doesn't mind that."
I sighed and stared at the horizon, where the sun was just dipping and sneaking out of view, streaking the sky with beautiful splashes of vermillion, orange, purple and banana yellow hues.
"Go talk to him," Taehyung advised. "Stop avoiding him."
"I'm not avoiding him," I complained.
"Yeah?" Taehyung breathed, brushing his thumb over my knuckles. "Then why are you trying to plant roasted seeds that you stole from Namjoon's kitchen?"
***
"Hi," I squawked awkwardly. Jin raised his head tiredly and looked around for a moment before glancing at me in surprise. "You are talking to me?"
"No, I'm talking to the walls." I rolled my eyes and Jin smirked cheekily at me.
"Oh, then carry on. I won't disturb."
"Jin," I begged him and his smile vanished. He got up and stretched his legs, placing his arm out to indicate that we walk out of the living room. I kept my distance, hurrying ahead before Jin's hand grabbed my waist and pulled me closer. "What, you can't even touch me? I'm poisonous?"
I rolled my eyes and left a fleeting kiss on his soft cheek before moving forwards once more. "Hands off, Seokjin," I muttered, looking behind.
"You don't hate me?" Jin asked anxiously, once we were seated on the bed opposite the huge mirror. I shook my head at his reflection.
"I could never hate you. I could be very angry at you though." He gave a ghost of a smile. "I don't think you need to be fixed," he blurted out. "I thought those dreams caused you pain, Joan, honestly I did. I didn't want you to see it again so I tried giving you closure. I brought your mother, we spoke about it for so many days and I thought it worked but then I walked in the room and you were seeing it again and I lost it. I'msorry, Joan. I just hate to see you cry."
"I'm not going to cry," I hummed. "I did it once because I was just overwhelmed. It came after a few weeks and it shocked me. That's all."
Jin abandoned looking at my image in the mirror and turned to face me. I stretched and placed my legs in his lap.
"So you are okay?" He asked uncertainly, pulling on my little toe. I giggled as his crooked fingers tickled my feet.
"Let go, let go," I stuttered as his hand locked around my feet in a tight grip and his fingers ran back and forth. "My stomach hurts, stop," I begged him. Jin hesitated and I leaped off the bed and stumbled unsteadily straight into his broad frame.
"So you're okay?" He mumbled into my hair, his breath tickling my ear.
"More than. I'm simply peachy."

"I'm reading," I warned Jungkook as he let out several exaggerated sighs in front of me. I glanced at his black Timberlands before meeting his gaze. "Yes?" I asked him as he sunk into the plush armchair next to me.
"I'm bored," He announced.
"What a big fat pity," I smiled sweetly at him. "I'm not."
He pouted at me. "Make me feel un-bored."
I placed my finger on the page I was reading and shut the book. "There are six other perennially free young men in this house, go bother them."
"Yoongi is sleeping, Jin is teaching Taehyung and Namjoon how to cook, Hoseok is dancing and Jimin is in the toilet doing number two," Jungkook sulked.
"Go wait outside the kitchen, Jin will shoo his helpers away really soon," I advised him, rolling my eyes and turning back to my book.
Damn you Jungkook, I was on a serious part-
"Jin is teaching them how to cut onions!" Jungkook widened his eyes, trying to convey to me emphatically that chopping onions was a strenuous task. "They aren't leaving anytime soon."
"Okay, then hang around the toilet."
"Jimin poops a lot. For a long, long time. And the poo smells funny too."
"I didn't need to know that," I groaned, closing my eyes. "Ask Hoseok if you can dance with him," I offered.
"I don't want dance right now."
"What do you want to do then, you insensitive twat?!"
"Play?" he shrugged uncertainly. "I heard you're good with pranks," he smirked, trying to win me over with flattery. I wasn't going to cave, I wasn't going to-
"Yoongi said you look like a flattened pea grain," Jungkook added helpfully.
"Then," I grinned evilly, my resistance crumbling like cake, "Come with me and let's go show little Yoonboon what the flattened pea grain can do."

"Shush!" I hissed at an excitable Jungkook. He obediently placed a finger over his lips and squealed eagerly. "Shush," he repeated happily.
"That's right, shush!" I nodded at him, raising my fly swatter high and taking aim. "You are in charge of the honey," I whispered.
"Okay!"
Jungkook pulled the spoon out of the honey jar as instructed and turned it over. Honey strained out hurriedly before reducing to drops and dripping onto Yoongi's forehead. He groaned but didn't move, his eyes still closed.
"Now?"
"Now we wait for a few minutes," I removed my phone and started scrolling through YouTube for insect sounds before finding the audio clip of a bee. I increased my phone volume and placed it next to Yoongi's ear. He flapped his arms in annoyance on hearing the sound.
"Now?" Jungkook's eyes rounded in fascination.
I smirked and slapped down the swatter right onto the sleeping boy's face. THWAK!
"What the-" Yoongi screamed and jumped up, pepper spray in his hands.
"You use pepper spray?" I asked interestedly. Jungkook covered his mouth as he choked on his laughter behind me. Yoongi's eyes bulged as they shifted from me to the swatter and back.
"You- you-" His sight dropped to the weapon in my hand. "Did you just slap my face with a fly swatter?"
"What's going on!" Jimin rushed into the room, his hands hurriedly tucking his shirt into his unbuttoned leather pants. "I'm ready to fight!"
"You!" Yoongi pushed my shoulder, huffing angrily. "Did you swat me?"
"Oh that," I batted my eyelashes innocently. "Jungkook and I wanted to eat pancakes and we were dressing them next to you and he dropped honey on your face-" I gestured to his wet forehead, "- and then this big bee started fluttering around your nose, you must have heard it, so I ran and got-"
"-the first thing she could find, while I fought bravely with the bee-" Jungkook intervened.
"-and I returned and saved young Jungkook and you here by slamming down hard with the fly swatter!" I concluded enthusiastically.
"You do know that Sarah also told me about the incident in which she used honey and a fly swatter on her friends."
Jungkook and I glanced at each other. "Oh." Yoongi's eyes narrowed as he stepped forward.
"On a completely unrelated note," Jungkook asked in a small voice. "How fast are you at running?"
"Me? I am a fricking deer!" I grinned happily, tossing the honey and the plastic swatter onto the armchair that Yoongi previously occupied. I stretched my muscles and winked at him. Yoongi pounced and I leaped in opposite direction. Jungkook was a little late to react and ended up standing behind the dinner table and pleading to Yoongi that it wasn't his idea to swat him.
"It was nice knowing you, Jeon!" I yelled as I bounded out of the room.
***
"He threw a blate at be!" I complained to Jin as he handed me a small piece of cotton to stuff up other nostril. Jin chuckled as I harshly pushed the soft ball up my nose. It stained red immediately.
"To be fair to Yoongi, you did bring it on yourself by swatting him when he was sleeping."
"What habbened to the bubbortive boyfriend?" I muttered grouchily.
"Supportive boyfriend quit when Namjoon chopped Supportive boyfriend's finger instead of the potato on hearing Yoongi scream."
"But Jibin healed you," I sulked. "And Yoongi too. He refused to help be."
"The boy was constipated for weeks!" Jin laughed. "Finally when things were leaving smoothly, you made Yoongi scream and Jimin left the toilet to find out what was wrong."
"Ib it heals naturally then I'll habe a crooked bose!"
Jin raked a hand through his hair and messed up the strands before splitting the hair in the middle. "Pity."
"Don't you bant a bretty girlfriend?" I pulled a face at him.
He guffawed. "Not everyone can have a perfect nose like Hobi. Besides, you will look beautiful either way," He smirked at me.
I rolled my eyes "Booth, real booth."
"Booth indeed," He grinned.
"You know I beant booth!"
"Yes, booth." Jin cupped my face and kissed my nose. "I don't need your nose to be perfect to love you." His lips pressed on my forehead and he squeezed my cheeks softly. "Can I kiss you?"
"Since ben do you ask for bermission?"
"I don't know," he purred, his lips moving down my nose. "Figured your nose might hurt."
"Just bucking kiss be already, you broad shouldered goat."
He grinned cutely and attacked my lips with his.
