๑Balloons and Crayons๑

“I got the perfect one!”
“Jin, NOT NOW!” I screeched, narrowly avoiding a miniature sun which sailed past my head.
“Please, it’s related to fire,” Jin begged.
I shoved him to the side as the pole beside him caught fire and melted, a big blob of metal falling on the ground.
“It won’t be funny later!”
“Fine!” I snapped as we both hid behind the car. A distant yell reached my ear which sounded awfully like Jungkook. I cautiously stuck my head out to see him running around with his fine butt on fire while Hoseok begged him to stand still so he could put it out with coffee.
“Did you hear about the fire in the shoe factory?” Jin started. “Many soles were lost! Hahaha… get it, Joan? Many soles were…,” He withered under the revolted look I shot him.
“Seriously?!” I yelled. “We are trying to avoid a fire-throwing psycho and you find this as the perfect time to make one of your dumb jokes?”
“It is never a bad time to make a jo-ah!”
“Seokjin, I’m going to kill you if you run into another wall!” I screamed. “Duck! Get behind that building!”
I wrapped my arms around Jin who was nauseously stumbling around after he slammed his head on the wall for the third time, and yanked him. He tumbled forwards before crashing into me and pushing me into the rusty door.
“Ouch,” I groaned. I looked up and my eyes met his which still had a slight far-away look in them. The noises slowly faded from my mind as I focused on him.
“Sorry,” he whispered before resting his hot forehead on mine, his soft bangs grazing my sensitive skin. I took deep calming breaths but it felt like something huge was stuck in my throat when I felt his fingers lightly trailing up my hands. They reached up to my face, leaving a hot trail up my arms. Jin took a step forward, his nose brushing mine.
“A make-out session when Yoongi is on the loose is not a good idea.”
“Holy-,” I looked down to see Sarah comfortably lodged at our feet and watching us sneakily.
“We-we weren’t making out,” I exhaled, flustered.
“You weren’t?” Sarah blinked up innocently.
I shook my head before realising that Jin was still too close and squirmed when our chins clashed. “Ow- no. We weren’t doing anything,” I repeated firmly.
I snuck my head around the corner and saw Yoongi advancing towards the car, still under the impression that we were behind it. I frowned when the smoking hood of the vehicle caught my eye.
“Just a question,” I addressed Sarah. “Is Yoongi immune to explosions? Burning metal?”
“If its mostly fire related then, yes. Fire doesn’t hurt him.”
“Great.”
“Why?” Jin asked, his face sooty but just as beautiful as ever. He had edged away from me after Sarah made her unexpected appearance.
“Because that car is going to explode soon-”
BOOM!
“-okay, um slightly wrong information, it is going to explode now.”
I clutched my ears and watched as debris flew everywhere. Another yell
sounded from somewhere ahead. My eyes widened in horror. “Jungkook!”
I ran past splinters of blazing car, smouldering rocks and red-hot fire before I saw the dark dusty mass that was Jungkook’s hair from behind a huge boulder. A piece of hot glass landed on my arm out of nowhere and embedded itself in my skin but I didn’t care. What was wrong with me? Jin was mature enough to handle himself in such situations, but Jungkook?
Jungkook got excited by balloons and crayons and ran after dried leaves and I left him alone! I left him alone and if anything had happened, it was my fault. I pushed past a ragged Hoseok, glad to see him alive but still worried about my boyfriend.
I found the boy in question clutching his leg and groaning on the ground, hurt, but very much alive.
I hesitantly touched his arm. “Jungkook?”
He turned his head slowly and his huge eyes captured mine. With a loud grunt he sat up. “You’re hurt,” he let out through clenched teeth. I pushed his head back down. “So are you.”
He sighed.
“I’m going to kill that clown,” he grumbled.
I sat on my heels and began fumbling around in my many pockets for the trusted ointment that my brother had gifted me the previous year.
“Anyone that is hurt, come here!” I called out.
“My heart is hurt-,” Hoseok mumbled sadly next to me. "- because there is a distinct lack of love in the air."
“Anyone that is hurt externally like cuts, bruises and burns, get here!”
In the background, I could vaguely make out Sarah yelling angrily at Yoongi who looked like he was pretty much back to normal, whatever normal was for him. He also looked slightly afraid.
Cool!
I stored a mental reminder; Yoongi was scared of Sarah, use whenever needed.
My hands moved of their own accord as they gently rubbed the medicine on Jungkook’s wound. I smeared a bit of it on Hoseok’s cheek, where an ugly welt stretched from his eye to his jaw. When Sarah, Jin and Yoongi finally turned up, I saw that she was unhurt, but dusty. Jin was also unscathed. When I saw a humiliated and pouting Yoongi stretch out his palms in which huge pieces of glass and metal were implanted, I felt bad for him. He had such a noticeable ability and probably a hard life that made putting his trust in people a very strenuous task. It didn’t excuse the fact that he had tried to kill me but it made it slightly more understandable.
Slightly.
I wordlessly got up from the ground and after pulling out the shards from my own arm, I turned my attention to his. “This will hurt.”
I removed a pair of tweezers from the sole of my shoe and began
carefully pulling out the pieces. Yoongi winced every time I touched his hand but didn’t say anything. I glanced at the nearly empty bottle in my hand and let out a small breath through my mouth before running my fingers up and down his pale blood-crusted arm.
He let out a whistle of appreciation when all his injuries disappeared. I returned the empty bottle to my pocket quietly.
“It’s over?” Jin asked softly, sensing my discomfort.
“Yeah,” I sighed. “It’s over.”
“What’s over?”
“The medicine for magical healing. My brother had given it to me before…”
“Before what?” Sarah asked.
“It is not relevant-,” Jin hurriedly started speaking.
“No,” I stopped him. I looked at Yoongi. “Let them hear it.”
