CHAPTER TWELVE
fast and furious bitch !

     KINSLEY kept on repeating the bathroom event over and over and over again. she even ate while repeating the event. it didn't help that caitlin's touch was lingering everyone on her skin. it was burning into her skin.

"so," stefani said clearing her throat. they were back inside of their apartment in the living watching stranger things. kinsley was paying attention even though she was mostly fangirling over nancy wheeler and robin buckley. "what happened in the bathroom?"

kinsley automatically smiled and she sunk down into the couch. "nothing." she said in a singing voice. stefani gave her a look and the cheerleader couldn't hold her excitement anymore. "we kissed." kinsley shrieked and so did stefani.

"oh my god! oh my god! kinsley! ah, stop!" stefani shrieked going on her knees and kinsley laughed at her best friend reaction. "about fucking time! no wonder you two kept on eye fucking each other all night."

"we weren't eye fucking." kinsley denied even though she knew it was true.

"wait so, you like her? it's not just because it was in the moment." stefani asked.

kinsley but the inside of her cheek and looked at stefani. "i like her stef," she admitted throwing her head back to the couch. "so bad. and it's so weird because it all came at once like i didn't even have time to understand anything because i just liked her."

"maybe all those years of hate, you didn't actually hate her like you lead on. maybe deep inside, you really liked her but since you're afraid of your own feelings you practically gaslighted yourself into thinking you hate her guts. but you never did, i know you never did." stefani said putting her hand on top of kinsley.

"you've got to let yourself feel what you truly feel kins. you can't keep running and hiding because caitlin is an amazing girl who is head over heels for you long before all this. you guys balance each other in a way that no one else can." kinsley took stefani's word to heart because they're true. stefani dropped her head on kinsley's shoulder.

"i'm happy that you're giving her a chance after that son of a bitch. you deserve this kind of happiness."

kinsley told stefani to tell caitlin that she left the country. but she should've known that caitlin was going to text stefani and tell her the plans. so naturally stefani stood up from the couch and forced kinsley to get ready.

kinsley took her time, even after caitlin told her that she's outside of her apartment. kinsley dressed comfy. in her own way. white sweat pants that fit her lose, a crew neck that was cut on the top showing her black bra and her air forces.

"i'm leaving! pray for me." kinsley said picking up her keys and phone getting out of the door but not before stefani grabbing her and did a prayer. kinsley isn't as religious as stefani is but she still lets her best friend do the cross on her and a small prayer like always.

"amen." stefani said and kinsley kissed her hand sealing off the prayer. "okay, have fun on the date and don't be grumpy!"

"i'm not grumpy!" kinsley gasped but stefani pushed her out of the door and closed it on her face. kinsley rolled her eyes and headed out of the apartment.

when kinsley stepped foot outside caitlin was leaning against her car. her arms crossed and patiently waiting for kinsley. caitlin grinned and opened the door for kinsley. the cheerleader bit down her smile as she got inside of the car.

"caitlin, i can put on my own seatbelt." kinsley said with a laugh. caitlin had leaned over her body putting on her seat belt and making sure it was tightly secured.

"i know." caitlin said tilting her head to the side. she leaned forward and captured kinsley's lips in a soft and quick kiss. kinsley chased over her lips when the athlete pulled away. kinsley sat back disappointed that the kiss wasn't longer. she was earning for her.

"so where are you taking me?" kinsley asked once caitlin got inside of the drivers seat and put on the gps. kinsley tried reading the destination but caitlin had those annoying screen protectors where you can't see it from the sides.

"some place i've been wanting to go with someone for the longest." caitlin said giving kinsley the aux. kinsley put on paramore thinking on where they were gonna go. "plus i know how much you like fast cars."

"cars?" kinsley muttered to herself. "no way." kinsley then gasped glancing over at caitlin. her mouth opening up widely. "are you going go karting?! caitlin please tell me you're joking." kinsley said but caitlin only smirked taking a right. "no way! oh my god! wait how do you know my obsessions with fast cars?"

"you practically follow every single formula one driver, you repost the edits whenever it's about cars. and you're favorite franchise movie series is fast and furious. i only had to put two and two together." caitlin said with a shrug of her shoulder. kinsley sighed happily sinking into her seat and smiling like a maniac.

caitlin is an observer. she doesn't need to ask anyone or kinsley all she needed to do is pay attention and listen. to look at the way kinsley's face lights up for certain things. caitlin figured out about her obsession with fast cars or cars in general because on time during practice kinsley spend the entire time watching the race and ranting about each one of them.

"last one inside is a rotten egg!" kinsley said like a elementary girl. kinsley quickly got out of caitlin's car and ran inside of the building. she came into a hold as her eyes landed on the race track. she could cry.

"why are you crying?" caitlin asked putting her hand on kinsley's arm and brushing it up and down. kinsley sniffed up the tears that she didn't even know she was letting out.

"i love this so much. i've never experienced this and no one really listens to what i say." kinsley said remembering the times when she would go on and on about cars with ben and he would just nod and say that she shouldn't like cars because she's a girl. ben never took her out to dates that didn't involve the beach because he knew what he wanted to get out of it. it was always about him. him. him. him.

"i listen, kenny." caitlin said leaning down and kissing her cheek causing her to blush widely. "i've always listened to you. now let me go sign us up before starting."

kinsley nodded her head letting caitlin leave her side. kinsley continued watching the current racers go around the track. she turned her head to the side seeing caitlin coming back after ten minutes.

"the sixth turn is supposedly a difficult turn." caitlin said.

"not really. all you have to do is turn through the wide side and hold off the braking. it's all about calculating and you'll be good." kinsley said shrugging her shoulders. she smiled wickedly as one of the racers did exactly what she just said for the sixth turn.

"why is it the way you're talking about cars a turn on?" caitlin asked without thinking. kinsley looked at her in shocked and caitlin opened her mouth but quickly closed it.

"let's go, weirdo." kinsley said with a laugh going over to one of the helpers that was going to put on their helmet for protection even though kinsley would prefer it to be off. caitlin trailed behind her cursing herself for actin bold.

"was it too much for a first date?" caitlin asked.

"it's a date?" kinsley asked looking up at caitlin who nodded her head instantly. kinsley smiled widely. "it's perfect, caitlin. even what you said." kinsley said picking up her pink helmet and her pink head piece.

"ready!" the announcer shouted. kinsley excitedly looking behind her car to look at caitlin. the athlete send her a nervous thumbs up and even though she couldn't see kinsley's full face expect her eyes, she could see the way that her eyes were filled with excitement. "ready, set, go!"

kinsley at first was in third place. until the second turn and kinsley did a sharp turn making her be in first place. kinsley smirked to herself as she moved her gear and pressed on the gas. she felt at heaven as she raced through the track. if cheerleading wasn't her passion than she would've so become a racer.

kinsley pressed her back on the seat, her hand tightly around the steering wheel, her eyes laid on the sixth turn. the second place racer caught up to her. kinsley turned her head quickly to see that it was a man.

kinsley waved her fingers before pressing on the gas going ahead of him. the man wasn't going to take that and bumped into her. "what?" kinsley muttered out quickly looking at the man who reached to her side and bumped her again. "son of a bitch! what the fuck is wrong with you!"

kinsley went to the side and pressed the gas again moving away from the man. caitlin bumped her car against the man making him slow down. kinsley held in her breath as she did a wide turn on the sixth turn and hold off the break. she breathed again when she was back on the straight part and was only a few seconds away from wining.

"yes! yes, yes, yes, yes!" kinsley shouted slamming her hand on the steering away as she turned around to come to a stop. "suck on that stupid fucking bitch!" kinsley said taking off her helmet and showing the man that he just got beaten by a girl.

caitlin got third place and jogged over to kinsley. the cheerleader laughed throwing her arms around caitlin. "did you see that!" kinsley said excitedly helping caitlin take off her helmet and the head piece.

caitlin only answered by dropping her lips to kinsley's. the cheerleader sighed deeply into the kiss that felt so normal. so natural to them despite only kissing three times now. they felt so normal and kinsley loved that.

"let's go for another round?" caitlin asked nodding her head towards the car.

"fuck yes!"
