When finally on Titan, the Guardians, Peter Parker, and Tony were contemplating on a plan to get the gauntlet away from Thanos. StarLord and Tony were arguing over this (especially over StarLord's math skills) when they all noticed Dr. Strange acting, well, strange.

(A/N Pun intended. Lol!)

When he went back to normal, he told them that he saw 14,000,605 different outcomes of when they faced Thanos. The hard truth was that they succeeded in one future.

Then on Vormir, Thanos warned Gamora that the Soul Stone better be there or Nebula would be doomed. That's when they met the Red Skull.

(A/N Oh snap!)

He told them the only way for him to retrieve it was to kill someone he loved. And the only one he ever "loved" was Gamora. So he threw her over the edge and cried as he watched.

Then he woke up in a body of water where he found the Soul Stone in his hand.
