Makai's pov.

I watched the last monsters disappear into dust as I sheathed my sword. I turned around to find Andy flat on the floor with blood dripping down the side of her face, Scarlet was slumped on top of the boxes of ambrosia and nectar looking really pale and also knocked out. I resisted the urge to face palm.

"Seriously guys? Leave me all by myself, again!" I muttered at them. They didn't respond, obviously. I sat down beside Scarlet on the boxes of ambrosia and nectar. What to do now?

I wondered if I should ask Nico to help, but he'd been helping a lot lately. I stood back up and stretched, yawning. I really needed to get some sleep. A crash echoed in the warehouse, and I quickly dragged Andy over to Scarlet. I took my iPhone out of my pocket, calling Annabeth.

She answered lazily. "Hey Makai, What's up?" I could hear my brother in the back round so I kept my voice low. "Um. . . Andy and Scarlet managed to knock themselves out. I have know idea what Scarlet did, she turned into moonlight or something and before that I heard Artemis. Andy got hit on the head by a venti. Seriously, can someone please give her fighting lessons?"

Annabeth groaned. " I'll send Conner and Travis to help you, I know you guys get along. You better hurry up now that you used that phone." She hung up after I said thanks. I pulled my dagger out and sharpened it with a random rock I found. the metallic sound rang through the metal warehouse. If the monsters knew where I was there was no point hiding really.

I paused and listened, then grinned. Aha! Both Conner and Travis jumped on me and yelled "Boo!" at the same time. I barely kept myself from flinching and impaling them with my dagger, even though I knew they were there. They laughed and high-fived each other."That was great! We totally got her!" Conner said, laughing.

"I didn't even flinch!" I protested, They laughed. Travis replied "You, like, never do. But we know you and you were seriously freaked out!" I raised my eyebrows at them. "Okay, you were startled." I considered it and shrugged. They grinned again and then assessed my situation. Conner walked over to pick up Andy while I grabbed a box of ambrosia and walked to the camp van on the dirt road that twisted up to the ware house. I caught a glimpse of Travis carrying Scarlet to the van behind Conner.

Then after I finished packing the van full of ambrosia and nectar, I hopped into the back seat as Conner got in the driver side and Travis in the passenger . I looked nervously at Conner as he started the van. Carefully buckling my seatbelt and holding onto Travis's seat in front of me.

Conner drove like a madman. He overtook everyone on the road and speeded over the limit by about a hundred. He swerved around corners without signalling and honked randomly when he felt like it. I looked at Travis. He was sitting with his feet on the dashboard and his arms crossed, grinning. We quickly pulled into camp.

"Okay that was sweet." I had to admit. That both grinned and then helped me carry Scarlet and Andy into the big house. Chiron had already Iris messaged Nico so he would come straight back to camp once he was done doing whatever he was doing.

Chiron expected them with a grim expression. "Andy's fine, or will be when she wakes up, Scarlet ..." he trailed off in thought. I glared at him, "She will be fine, right." I demanded. He didn't answer for a long time. "She'll be okay as well, just extremely exhausted. She used up some of her mortal essence to deliver that powerful blow." I nodded and stormed over to the arena, literally, stormed. I had more control over water then Percy did. When I got upset water swirled around me, all open water would be sucked into my miniature hurricane.

When I got to the arena a sword fighting class was on so I sat down in the stands and watched. The new kids taking the class looked at me with wide eyes. I hated that. All the water bottles on the side got emptied, bad children.

The teacher, Percy, glared at me. "Makai, come here please." he ordered. I obliged. He drew his Celestial bronze sword, riptide, and faced me. "You're going to be the demonstration." I unsheathed my own sword, καταρράκτη, and faced him. My hurricane still swirled around me.

Percy introduced me, "Class this is my little sister Makai. We're going to demonstrate some basic sword movements." And we did. We practiced it with the class until the class was over.

After the kids had filed out I concentrated and all the water swirling around me liquified and poured on top of Percy's head. He glared at me again. I smiled innocently back at him.

I left the arena before Percy busted out the swords, I ran smack into someone as I walked towards the forest. Ow, what did this guy eat for breakfast? Steel? I ignored the hand that the guy offered me and climbed to my feet.

I Glared at the Chinese Canadian 6'2 guy who was looking at me, surprised. "Hey, you look like Percy. You must be Makai, the person dating Nico." I glared at him some more. I hate being compared to Percy. I nodded at him. "Yep." I saw Hazel coming out of the forest behind the dude in front of me and I felt my mind make the connection. "And you must be Frank." Hazels Boyfriend." I resisted the urge to run away.

Flashback

I had just come back from the candy store that Percy's mom used to work at, me and Nico had spent the afternoon walking around New York. As soon as I got back to camp Percy had confronted me of dating Nico, I sighed and turned to him. "Percy! So what if I am? I am pretty sure you aren't my mother!" I had responded, exasperated. He narrowed his eyes and left me alone.

The next day Hazel came to see me. She had chatted with me about the world of the gods, because this was my first summer. "Hey Makai? I should probably go now but I just wanted to say, If you break my brothers heart, I will personally come find you and make you regret it." On that cheery note, she left and I hadn't seen her since.

Flashback ends

Hazel walked up beside Frank and smiled at me. "Hey Makai. have you seen Percy?" I nodded "Unfortunately, Last I saw him he was walking towards Cabin three." I kept walking towards the forest. Stopping at a small creek. I sat down in the water, enjoying the feel of the water rushing over me. The sun had sinked down towards the ground and was turning the sky golden by the time I left to go to dinner.

I sat down at the table for Cabin Three and wished for pancakes and eggs with bacon, and a side of orange juice. I joined the long line of campers that threw a portion of their food to the gods. I through a piece of bacon in and prayed to Poseidon

Dad, whatever you're doing, I hope you see me down here fighting monsters and stuff and try to help. Please keep Nico safe. Bye.

I walked back to my seat. Eating my food quickly before Percy gave up being mad at me an started to talk. I loved pancakes. They were the best food invented. After I was done I was going to just go walk on the beach instead of joining the Campfire but I saw Nico among the people swarming towards the fire so I ran to catch up with Percy as he headed towards the fire with Annabeth.

I sat beside Nico during the campfire. On my other side sat Andy, who had decided to show her face a little. On Nico's other side sat Hazel who was laughing with Frank. I laughed at Andy's face when she heard the songs. They were about grandma's armour and Poseidon's horses and Apollo's cows.

She looked slightly revolted and weirded out and intrigued all at the same time. After the campfire everyone headed off to their cabins for the night. I said goodnight to Nico, Hazel, Andy and Annabeth before trudging off with Percy to Cabin three.

When we opened the door I was squished into a hug. I couldn't see anything but a brown shirt. After a minute or two I was set back onto my feet beside a grinning Percy. I turned to look at our assaulter.

Instead I saw Tyson. He looked so happy even I smiled. He was grinning and his one eye in the middle of his forehead was wet with tears. "Brother! Sister! Boss said I come to camp!" I smiled at Tyson as Percy told Him about what had been happening lately.

After a bit I went to get into my Pj's and go to bed. It felt like I hadn't slept in weeks! I walked over to my bed beside the water spring that bubbles in the corner of the room. I climbed up into my bed and tried to fall asleep before Tyron's snores rattled the whole cabin. Soon I felt my self drifting of to sleep.
