Makai's pov.

Immediately after I collapsed I started dreaming. Annabeth was meeting with Reyna in a small coffee shop. They were laughing about something when the glass window beside them shattered. Annabeth grabbed her new dagger out of her bag while Reyna swept her cloak in front of her to absorb the impact. Just as some seal like creatures dived through the window my dream changed. I wanted to see the outcome of the battle but I felt myself being dragged along. A bunch of other images flashed before my eyes; Pegasi fighting each other in the sky. A volcano erupting and Percy collapsing on a Island. Annabeth lighting a funeral shroud, while crying, Percy stumbled into the clearing and Annabeth stormed past him. Something was different about them though. They seemed younger. More images flashed before my eyes and I couldn't make them out. They got blurrier and harder to make out until I sat up in my bed, gasping.

I rolled over and fell out of bed. Hard. I curled up on the floor and just tried to breathe. I heard someone come into the room and I straightened up and sat up on the bed pushing the pain to the back of my mind. Scarlet entered and hesitantly turned around and exited again. I groaned once she left. Why did she leave you ask? I have no idea.

I got up and pulled my shirt up a bit to look at my soaked through bandage. I grimaced. First aid courses were not my favourite. I started the long task of getting the first aid kit without alerting anyone to my presence and then undoing my bandage and then pouring water on it while standing up. Seriously, it is tough. You try it without having it splash everywhere. I dare you.

I felt pretty terrible, to sum it up. I heard the hunters tent open , (which I had figured out, Genius I know) I saw Andy giving me a weird look at the patch of water glowing on my stomach. It wasn't a 'okay then?' look it was a 'Creepy! Creepy! Ahhhh!' Look. I shot her a withering glare. Look, who here among us travels through shadows and summons skeletons to chat with? Not me! I glanced at Andy and the hot chocolate around her mouth.

"Hey, are you ready to go?" I glanced at her from wrapping fresh bandages around my wound. It was at least a centimetre deep and went in a arc
from just below my right ribs to my left hip. Even after Ambrosia and Nectar it still burned. It probably had some poison in it.

I nodded at Andy. "Suuuure. Where's Nico and Scar." I wanted to be like 'No! I'm not! I'm not perfect! This HURTS! I want to sit down and talk to my sister who I haven't seen in forever! And why am I on this quest ANYWAY! And where are we even GOING again!?!" But I thought that I might've been overreacting a bit. Even though to me that seemed like a okay thing to say. "Sleeping. I figured we could have some alone time." To me that sounded like something a serial killer would say.

I shrugged again "Sure, but before you go, can you get me some hot chocolate?" She face palmed

In the Library, I poured over a book on disasters in 1980. It should have been called the book about mount saint Helens. Literally that's all it about.

Then I figured it out. "Ahh ha!" I yelled in victory as I slammed the book shut. "Yesh young wiper snapper shut your Australian pie hole and get back to work, some people want to get things done!" Andy snapped at me. She was grouchy because she had to search twice to find her t-shirts. I scoffed and rolled my eyes at her. Only she would use that joke. Since she found out my grandfather was from Australia and I had gotten my citizenship she never shut up about it. She took my reaction as something else. "Oh you wanna go get some work done?"

"I did." I sighed. I started to get up but at a expectant look from Andy I sat back down again. "What blew up in 1980?" She shrugged," Mt. Helens."

I sighed she had to have heard of some of my brothers quests. "And Percy's fourth quest?" I prompted. She rolled her eyes at me. "Am I your brothers keeper?" I was temped to reply with 'Yep! You just got the job!' Pain made me grouchy. We needed to check back at camp before we kept going. "I'll tell you more when we get back to camp." I got up and pulled Andy after me. We exited the Library and ran smack into a stray Venti. I clicked my bracelet without stopping and sliced it in half, the dust blew away and I sheathed my sword. "Come on!!!" Andy was looking a bit scared. Well one of those did almost kill her. I grabbed her arm and ran into someone again. Seriously what's the event today? Running into people day?

I just sat on the ground for a second before looking up at Nico and Scarlet. Scarlet had her silver back pack on and the fold up tent was probably in it as well. Her wolf was following behind them and several little kids tottered over and started pulling her hair and giggling. She was glaring up at us. I could interpret her look just fine.

I got up and immediately fell over again. Andy was laughing her head off. I winced at my stomach wound and then made my face blank at worried looks from my friends. I got up again and then grabbed onto Scarlets shoulder to keep myself up in case someone else decided to run into me.

I explained about stopping at camp and soon we were standing on half-blood hill, with the ivory and gold Athena staring down at us. I collapsed on the ground and tried to ignore my rolling stomach. Like who invented shadow travelling? Why couldn't it be sunshine and rainbow and unicorn traveling?

I tried to get up only to collapse on the ground again. I sent a few campers who rushed towards us to find Percy and then I just leaned against the statue of Athena and tried to breathe. Soon Percy was sprinting up the hill towards us. As soon as he got to us, he quickly rushes towards me. "Makai! what is it you need?" I groaned and stood up. "Who was that lady that you faced on your first quest? When you jumped off a building?" He looked weirded out then thought for a while. "Enchiladas? Something like that." He scratched his head. I looked at Andy who was kicking the ground with her boots, looking kinda guilty. I would have to ask her about that later. Percy explained to Nico and Scarlet that Annabeth was visiting Reyna in California. Then suddenly Percy remembered. "Ohhh! Echidna!" He explained her reals toons to the godly family and then ran back to the cabins to sort out a fight with the Ares campers. We all joined hands and then melted into the shadows, once again.
