Don't Judge! (13th)

For those who have not seen the TARDIS before...

Part 2

There were voices, and they were getting louder.

"Has she woken up yet?"

"For the thirteenth time, Doctor, no!"

Oh good. Doctor. Maybe it's a real, proper doctor this time. You did pass out, and someone must have sent you to the hospital. That's got to be right.

"We can't just leave her here on the floor. Doesn't look all that comfortable."

Hold on, on the floor? You were lying on the floor?

Suddenly you realised how hard whatever you were lying on was. It was not a comfy bed, it was cold.

"Do you think I should kiss her? I've seen loads of your television shows, you kiss someone and they wake up, right?"

You took a while to digest what had just been said.

"Doctor! You're not a bloke!"

Something clicked inside you, and your eyes snapped open. The sight of two men and two women, all staring intently at your face, greeted you. Feeling a sudden rush of adrenaline pump through your veins, you shot up and backed away from the group on all four limbs.

"Please don't kiss me," was all you managed to say.

"No one's kissing anyone, mate," the older man with greying hair said. His voice sounded familiar, you've seen him before. In fact, you've seen all of them before. Where have you seen them before?

Suddenly, a wave of pain washed over your brain as the dam in your mind opened, allowing a flood of memories enter. You looked at the blond woman who innocently offered a small smile. She was the one that diagnosed you. She was the one that drew your blood and made it glow. She was the one that dragged you away. She was the one.

"You!" you pointed at her, your finger shaking, "Why're you still here? Why am I still here? What's going on? Where is here? Where am I? Who are you, really?"

"Look, (Y/N), I know you're scared," the blonde woman tried to calm you but you cut her off.

"I'm not scared," your voice was getting louder, "I'm way past that! I'm...I need another word that's worse than scared."

"Terrified?"

"Horrified?"

"Panic-stricken?"

All three synonyms were thrown at you by the others at the same time.

"Combine all of them!" you yelled, "All I wanted was some medicine to go back to sleep! I went to the doctor's..."

Suddenly, you remembered their names.

"You're Yaz," you said in a softer voice, looking at the other girl in the room. Then, you turned to the two men and tried to remember, "One of you is Ryan."

"That's me," said the younger and taller one.

"Then you're Graham," you pointed to the older one, who responded with a nod and a 'yep'.

Finally, you turned to the remaining unnamed one.

"You're the Doctor."

The Doctor seemed to brighten up at a sign you were remembering, "Yes I am!"

"Don't you have a normal name?"

She shook her head innocently, "Nope."

"That's ridiculous!" you shouted, your frustration not yet let out completely.

"Wha-Hey!" she looked offended, "I cured you!"

At the sound of that, you realised that your nose was completely clear, it wasn't stuffed up like before. Your throat felt much better and more normal, and your head, apart from the pain caused by the memories, was throbbing significantly lesser. Even though you still had no idea what had happened before, you had to admit, the Doctor did live up to her title. You muttered a 'thank you' before heading for the door, without looking back.

"Wait!" she cried out, "Where're you going?"

"I think she's going out, Doc," Graham said, saving you the trouble from answering.

"I can see that, but you can't leave now!" The Doctor moved towards you to stop you, but someone pulled her back, because no one was there to pull you back. You could have sworn you heard Ryan whisper, "Hold on, I want to see her reaction."

Ignoring it, you confidently pulled the doors open and took a step out, but there wasn't any ground there. You fell through, shrieking as you realised where you were. Your fingers barely caught on to the floor that you were once standing on.

Google images did not live up to reality.

The dark canvas of space around you was dotted with stars that illuminated rocks and planets alike. A comet had zoomed past, leaving an icy trail behind. Below you, there was a large planet with a bubbling surface, glowing blue and purple. The only conclusion you could draw was that you were nowhere near Earth.

After taking a minute to absorb the wonders (and dangers) around you, you looked up at what you assumed was the spaceship that the Doctor and her gang were travelling in. Only, it wasn't a spaceship. It was a police box. But if this police box was so small that it could fit in your room, how could it be so big on the inside?

You felt a pair of hands pull you back onto the box. That same pair dusted your shoulders and closed the door behind you. All eyes were turned to you once more, waiting for your reaction.

"Why," you started, "is this a police box?"

"Sorry?" the Doctor blinked as though she was expecting something else to come out of your mouth.

"Of all boxes, why a police box? A cardboard box would be cooler! You could decorate it!"

"Don't judge! It's not my fault I wanted her stuck as a police box!" the Doctor immediately ran towards the control panels and stroked it, "Don't be offended, she's new."

"Doctor, you sure her brain is cured?" asked Ryan, who was smacked in the arm by Yaz.

"Aren't you going to say it's-"

"Bigger on the inside?" the three companions said at the same time.

You gave them a puzzled look, "Well, it's alien, so it shouldn't be surprising?"

"How'd you know I'm an alien?" the Doctor narrowed her eyes at you.

"Um..." you gestured to the entire spaceship, then at what the Doctor was doing. She was still stroking the control panel like it was something very precious to her, and she was speaking to it as though it was a real person. Noticing how awkward it got, the Doctor quickly removed her hands from the panel and put them on her hips.

"Fair enough."

"Are you going to answer my questions now?" you asked, "Like where am I, am I being abducted, and most importantly, why the heck was my blood glowing earlier?! And what happened to the little girl?"

Graham grabbed a sandwich from inside his coat and sat down on the floor. The rest of you stared at him, you in confusion and the others in disbelief.

"This is going to be a long conversation!" he argued before turning to you, "Don't mind me. I'm trying to save my sanity, that's all."

Beside you, Ryan shrugged and sat down too. "Might as well," he said, "You got another sandwich?"

Graham fished out a slightly squashed sandwich and handed it to him. The Doctor suddenly grinned, "Are we having a picnic? I love picnics. Yaz, (Y/N), want a biscuit?"

She skipped over to the panel again, this time pushing a button. Three custard creams fell out and she gave one to the two of you. The Doctor sat down beside Graham, and defeated, Yaz took her place beside Ryan. The Doctor patted the empty space beside her, motioning for you to sit.

The sight was mildly hilarious, and you thought an alien in a 'bigger-on-the-inside' ship was weird.

Sighing, you joined in. Your anger from earlier simmered. The Doctor clapped and put her arms around you and Graham. You stiffened, uncomfortable with the fact that an alien who had possibly kidnapped you was being so friendly and has not, in the past half an hour, explained what the hell was going on.

"Brilliant! Now that the fam's here-" you noticed the other three shake their heads, "The best part of the day has come. No, actually it's the second best. Picnic with stories! I love those. Did you know once I-"

"Get on with it!" her three friends interrupted and you were grateful for that. The Doctor froze for a second before letting go of you and Graham.

"Oh alright then, you've waited long enough."

"You bet I have."
