Allura's POV

After sobbing for about 3 minutes with no ceasing I manage to stop. And Miguel helps me on my feet and we walk to a bench in the middle of the garden.

He rubs my back gently as I try to regulate my breath. "What on earth upset you so much so that you would break down? I sometimes forget that you are human because you are forever helping others it's rare seeing you in need?" He takes out his handkerchief and I wipe my tears with it. It has a very strong coconut scent to it very soothing.

"Lilly and I just got into a fight and she just said some things that really got to me. I think Prince Aden loved or even stills loves but she just shut me down instantly. I was just trying to help." Tears run down my eyes the way I am crying it's only a matter of time before I get a running nose. He sighs from besides me and stops rubbing my back he then puts his hands together clenching them the veins in hands more visible now. He stares ahead of him into nothing.

Perhaps what he just can't grasp what I am feeling right now. "Being royal just makes life difficult we live for our families not ourselves. You would think your siblings would understand but even they have certain ranching it's different for everyone." He stops to take a breath before continuing.

"I am always up for hearing the other side but sometimes people are just too bad for saving. Lura you are always looking out for others and not a lot of people appreciate such a person. So I advice to be selfish before you think about others think of whether or not they would care to listen. Stand your ground. Your people are known for doing that so it's time you embrace that. Your sister, your family are just mere human beings getting through life like you and I so don't hold them to standard such as a God." He understood everything all well.

Someone actually saw me its feels amazing to think about he actually cared to listen and answer well. "Your right. I should just do my duties and stop trying to fix things I didn't break. I will be a queen so I should act like it I guess" There is silence as my words hang in the air. "Will he be able to give you love?" His question is one that needs a lucky guess type of answer. "That is solely up to him." I respond as best as I can to make it seem less sad than it is.

"He might never love you, and for eternity you will have to wake up to his face, spend all your life with him and make void memories that won't feel fulfilling when you rest for good. Do you think you are ready for that?" He gets up from the bench and stand tall and firm before me with the look of concern in his eyes. "Its my duty. I was made ready. Besides no one ever loved me so I might not be loved either way."

As much as I love books they will never steer me too far from possible reality. "Lura I am sure that someone has loved you or has dreamed about a possible life with you." I chuckle and he just watches me. If only he knew that not one boy has ever seen me in that way. "I guess that person didn't love me enough to even let me know." There is only one person who could come to mind.

"So I am guessing that you think because my brother didn't love you back you stopped believing that you deserve love." I am so sick of these situations. "I am glad to see you are alright and you weren't hurt after last night's incident with my brother."

Why must everything revolve around Pedro? Is that what people remember me for? The sound of thunder echoes into my thoughts bringing me out of them as the rain starts drizzling. "We should leave quickly before we drenched it's almost curfew too. Hop on." He turns his back to me. "Gladly it's been years since you have given me a ride on your back." I jump on his back and he settles me on properly because this gown is a bit to puffy to be adjusted. The rain starts pouring as he starts running.

We used to do this a lot in our preppy days. I hope I haven't gotten heavy for him. "I guess we both know where you got the idea of horse riding from." we both chuckle though his not out of breath yet I have no idea how. We finally arrive at the chamber corridors and he still holding me going up the stairs. "I could walk up the stairs you know" My mind keeps on whispering that I could be heavy for him.

"I know but serving people's need is my specialty Love." Well I am not complaining. We make it to the corridor of my room. He bends his knees a bit too much teasing my height I know. I get off from his back safely. "You know I am not that short right or have you started going blind?" I push his shoulder playfully and he shakes his head in response spraying water all over my face.

We stop laughing as Cara catches my attention coming out off Pedro's room with him accompanying her. He locks eyes with me and then looks between me and Miguel. They walk passed us and I notice lipstick smudges on his neck must have been a good time. "I should head in now." I inform Miguel who has been looking at me for I am guessing a while now. He nods his head. I walk to the door and open the door before turning to him again. "Oh thank you for comforting me today. You truly are amazing Smiley." His eyes light up and gives me his best smile. "My pleasure my lady." he bows and starts walking away. I enter the room and I am startled to find Ruby behind the door.

"Ruby what are you doing?" she has a smirk on her face and starts moving her brows up and down and I immediately know she was listening to me and Miguel. "Do not jump to conclusions it's not like that." I defend myself from the hundred stories I know she has in her head. "Oh but it is. You know I have always wanted you and him to happen since forever but you always told me there is nothing but there is clearly something." she starts shaking me by my arms.

"Need I remind you I am to be married soon." she stops the shaking. "Must you always rob me of my happiness." I chuckle while going to the bathroom to shower she stands outside asking for details about the night. "He carried all the way here? Okay now you do see that you are the crazy one and not me" I just know that we are not sleeping tonight. We walk out the bathroom after changing into my nightgown.

"By the way are you okay I mean what your sister said is just beyond untrue you do know that right?" We both enter my blankets holding chocolate bars for dinner unhealthy but who cares. "Yeah I know it just hurt though." she brings in my head to her chest and pets my head gently. "You are the epitome of princess sometimes even I think that I am not enough for that title. You are also an amazing soul and every much important to me I may not be much but it's something." She chuckles. "Princess Ruby Taki you are more than enough for me. I am blessed to have been chosen to have you in my life." And then we both break into tears while eating chocolate. Just girls being girls.

NEXT DAY

Today Ruby and I woke up a bit early so we could have breakfast earlier so we can find an outfit for my volunteer work today. We head to the dining hall and we were served pancakes today. We head to a table and sit. Then there is some commotion outside before the noise comes inside the hall. The royals come inside and make way to clear the door for the Royal Grost guards and Prince Aden.

My stomach drops as he walks to my direction with a royal tray in hand. "Princess Allura Bright Good Morning" he greets and I try to make it quick to my feet. "Your Majesty Greetings" I curtsey. He takes a beautiful white transparent veil covered in beautiful pearls and hands the tray to a guard. He places it on my head and the gasps begin and I keep my head down.

He then goes on one knee with the tray and offers it to me. "Lady Bright I show my adoration for you today with all witnesses here so they might you are to be.." he hesitates "My Bride and Queen of Asvour." my hands shake and I am sure that my whole body is too. I take the tray in my hands and he takes my hand and plants a kiss on it. And applause crowd the room. Then Lilly appears to my side.

"Your Majesty I hear you have the dates to the engagement ceremony." It seems she knew he was coming and didn't inform me. "Of course Princess." he gestures for the guard to hand the envelope over to him. He hands it to Lilly and they look into each others eyes and all I see is love but as a duty I will just keep to myself. "We shall take our leave. I will speak to you soon Allura." I bow in response. And they march out.

"Here you go, keep it safe." she hands it to me and I swear I saw tears in her eyes. Ruby leads me to my room away from the attention. "Did you know he was coming?" she asks as i take the veil off and fold it. "No that was so scary." The alarm on my phone goes off as a reminder of picking a gown. "We should go get the dress now."

We head to the boutique that was made on the academy grounds for special event. "The theme is blue so let's stay there huh." Ruby suggests while we gather everything off blue and close to it. I try on some dress but while in the changing room I hear some girls speaking about me.

"Princess Allura of all royalty he picks her to be his queen?" they laugh in unison. "Wait wasn't he engaged to her older sister Lilly?" of course they would bring this up, this was one of my fears. "Maybe he figured he couldn't handle Lilly and went for a easier opponent." they both erupt with laughter. "Oh my gosh that's so funny." I walk out because I so tired of being pushed around. They both just look spooked.

"If you truly want to gossip and spew nonsense then do so in the privacy of your chambers. You're hear speaking of someone who has been proposed to and yet your romantic lives has never seen the mere shadows of any love interests." They both drop their heads. "You are princesses so act like your status and maybe have a bit of shame once in a while." Ruby laughs from behind me. "You are now excused"

Ruby adds and they leave. "Spoken like a true future queen." she curtseys to me and we laugh. "Thank you that was so out of character for me for me." honestly it was so refreshing as well. "But this dress is so you I love it you should get this." she blows kisses at me while I twirl gracefully. We get the dress and I changed and head to meet Pedro near the entrance of the school.

Allura's Outfit and hair:

I spot him in a black suit that compliments his skin tone his hair styled I am shook. He looks my way and he just stares looking as far down as my heels and right back to my eyes again. "Hailstings your here early." I greet stopping besides him his cologne was definitely sprayed today. "Yes I am thought I would cause you less stress today." he smirks and we bow to the Headmasters of the opposing academy.

Pedro's Outfit:

"Pedro here is your permit card." Miguel walks up to and hands him a cards. He is dressed up too. A blue suit that just looks like his style and with his hair styled as always.

Miguel's Outfit:

"Miguel are you being punished too?" I ask. He hands me a card with my name on it. "That's yours. And yes I am punished because I was asleep in leadership and the Headmistress was in a bad mood so my charming skills didn't work on her sadly. Anyways I have to be with the elders so see you around." "You look enchanting Allura." he smiles and walks off.

The visiting royals meet in Hallow chambers where Pedro and I are stationed. It is filled with people and everyone is already conversating. "Could you please show me which one of the section is for leadership." A gentleman as me as I turn to Pedro and he is busy staring into space and I walk off. I help him with finding his books and I thought of trying an alliance but it seems as though that his kingdom still believes that woman should shut up and only lead because they have a man in their arm. So simply no thank you.

I search for Pedro around to make sure he isn't going to ruin this for us. I spot him with two of our alliance members. As I walk closer to them I catch a few of what they are saying. "So who is in charge of this is it really you or your lady?" Prince Derek asks. "It is me of course my Dad taught me better than to let a woman lead kingdom affairs." they chuckle. My blood boils at that comment how could he say this him of all people. "Is that so Prince of Hailstings."
