Allura's POV:

There is no way that he just said my name. I raise my hand to get permission to speak and she nods for me to proceed. "Headmistress is can way to swap with anyone else? What if you know that you won't work well with the person." I know for fact that my credit will suffer if I have to work with Pedro.

"Princess Bright why on this green earth would that be allowed? Please do use your common sense when asking a question in future. Now gentlemen please take a seat next to your partner." She had no reason to be rude. The boys get seated next to their partner I guess Cara is paired with Prince Desmond, he stands behind Pedro who will not get off from his chair. "Pedro do you plan on moving anytime soon or?" Desmond asks irritated but Pedro doesn't even bother responding.

"Prince Hailstings is there a reason why you aren't moving to your partner's table?" he remains quiet. "Need I remind you this isn't Atar Academy so please move to you seat immediately." he pulls out his chair and sits next to me. "Right now that we are settled. In this project you will be working on how your two kingdom could work if they were to an alliance formed. And please now I am not talking about a marriage alliance." In the corner of my eye I see Pedro fiddling with his watch, he never takes anything seriously.

"You will have to formulate a plan, a vision and the alliances mission. The benefits of this working and some downsides but ultimately it has to work. I will need it to be complete after the Royal Saltor. Understood?" she concludes. "Yes Headmistress" we agree. "Now you may plan the duties of each person amongst yourselves." everyone starts whisper amongst themselves. There are like 5 minutes of silence before I master the guts to speak because clearly he won't.

"Is there anything that you would like to take care of by yourself?" I ask as politely as possible trying not to sound annoyed. He lifts his head from his phone and looks me in the eyes. My heart involuntarily sinks to my stomach. "Why don't you just decide for me so that we just don't have to do this small talk." Small talk? Since when is work small talk. "Pathetic." I mumble under my breath or at least I thought. "Pardon?" gosh I think he heard. "Nothing. Look we are forced to work together so can we please just do this so we finish talking to each other." I let out in frustration.

"Great. So you do the work and I will present it because we both know you can't get any attention from anyone." he suggests. What on earth did I ever see in this boy? "You must be out of your mind if you think I will do everything just for you to claim it all for yourself, I am not one of your minions Hailstings." I snap, had he asked my this years ago I would have done it as the naive fool I was.

"Well since you know it all then do it all." as he gets up from his seat the alert sounds and he just leaves without being dismissed. I don't know what I did to deserve this but I am so getting punished for it. We get dismissed and right now all I want is to pass out on my bed.

I sleep for about 4 hours before getting ready for dinner. I put on a simple gown in a light shade of pink that compliments my brown skin perfectly. Ruby must already be there since she spent all day in the library. There is a knock on the door probably Ruby, she must think I am still sleeping.

"Oh Miguel it's you." He looks like he just came from the longest run ever. "Where you expecting someone else?" He jokes I motion for him to enter the room. "Yeah I thought Ruby came to wake me up for dinner, but why are you here?" He takes a seat on my bed while I endlessly search for my pendent.

"I just got back from sword training, I thought I would check up on you since I heard that you and my brother got paired for an assignment." My mood immediately gets dimmed because I had almost forgot about that. "Yeah I am still alive. Your brother is the most stubborn person ever not to mention rude." I am sure he is tired of playing middle man for the both of us.

"That is true but he is just a little complicated to understand I would know since I have know him forever." Miguel is never someone to speak ill of someone he is just upfront when he doesn't like someone he couldn't care enough to hide it. "What are busy looking for?" I must look crazy searching for this right now.

"My pendent, you know my favorite neck piece" I got this pendent for my 13th birthday from my grandmother she knew how much I loved sunflowers. "This one." He holds up the pendent in his hand making the face of your so dumb. "Here let me help you put it on" he gets up and approaches me and I turn around placing hair on my right shoulder.

His perfume is so hypnotic it masks all the sweat on his body you wouldn't even tell his sweating. He puts the pendent on but takes a really long time lock it in. His breath hits the back of my neck causing goosebumps all over my body.

"Do you still believe in Sunflower love?" He still remembers? I use to always talk about my happily ever after sunflower love. After hearing about it a thousand times he also wanted such a love.

"Yes I still believe now and always." I answer turning to face him. My crush on Miguel last about about a couple of months before we got separated when he went to Atar Academy and I found out he had a girlfriend there. "I better go shower I only have an hour till dinner" He says breaking eye contact.

"An hour? I guess I will catch up on some reading since I woke up early." I walk him to the door. "Oh do me a favor and give this to Pedro, these are his responsibilities for the project. He has no choice but to do it since he wouldn't decide on it." I give him a file with the instructions I made inside. "Yeah I will do that but you own me one." He winks and walks off. He is so dumb sometimes. Time to catch up on reading.

At the dining hall

"Ruby I don't get why we have to sit with them again?" I am so sick of having to listen to Cara and Pedro flirt while eating. "We have to bee seen with the popular people if we want to stand out." She whispers to me. "Oh wow so you guys are using us for attention. And yet you call boys liars." Miguel teases.

"But you guys are liars." I tease back. "Attention Sudents" the hall quiets down. "I am now going to read the rules for Royal Saltor pay attention." Ms Alice opens a scroll. "The rules are as follows:
.Royals must be from age 15 to 16
.Royal have to compete in challenges for credits
.They must form at least 3 alliances
. They must present their Grace through a dance with or without a partner
.Final give a speech as to why they should win." And she gets off stage.

These rules always stay the same expect the dance one is new. "If you ever need a coach Lura I am the right guy I won the Saltor last year so I am an expert." Miguel brags. "Man shut up you know that we tied or have you forgotten?" Samba corrects. "They felt sad for you that's the only reason" We all laugh. Cara and Pedro get up from the table probably going somewhere private.

"My man." Samba praises him and Pedro winks in response and walks out. "Come on Ruby let's go sign up before we forget." We excuse ourselves from the table. "Oh by the way there is a gathering tomorrow by the indoor island we have been invited by Tyla." I finish signing my name and process the news as she signs her name.

"Gathering. Tyla as in Cara's best friend Tyla." I ask confused. "Yes I know but come on it's an opportunity to form alliances and some Atar students will be invited come on." She pleads, I know she has already decided to go by the tone of excitement in her voice. "Alright I guess." She hugs me to stop from screaming out loud.

I can't believe I am actually invited to something. But something in my gut tells me that something is off.

The Next Day
At the indoor island

Since today is an off day we had all morning to get ready for the gathering. I put on a yellow floral gown with a shole.

We arrive 30 minutes late but we make it anyway. I feel like this day won't end right but I am probably overreacting. "Hello ladies you made it." Tyla greets with Cara in her arm. She just ignores us. "Yes thanks for inviting us" Ruby greets back and I just smile. "You two can help yourself to some drinks by the lemonade table." She points to the table where my idiot of a brother is making out with a girl.

We make our way to the table and grab a drink I just stick to juice because I can't afford to embarrass myself today. "Do you think the twins made it to the gathering ?" Ruby tries whisper in my ear because the music is loud. "Probably because they are popular." I could care less if they are here.

In the middle of the gathering Ruby gets pulled away by a prince and they disappear while dancing. I on the other hand try speaking with a few people and manage to get 2 girls number to hopefully allign with them. I try finding my way to the bathroom but this island is so huge that I keep going in circles.

I finally spot Tyla, she should know where the bathroom is since this island and this building belongs to her parents. "Tyla where is the bathroom is?" I am about to pee on myself. "Oh it's right down the hall on your left it's a little cabin." She directs. "Thanks" I rush there finding it I quickly make my way to the bathroom and use it in time. It's getting dark out now I can't believe I lasted at a social event for this long without burning out.

I wash my hands and head to the main door of this little cabin,it's locked. "Hello open up." I yell and the lights go out. I can here giggles from outside the door. Of course Cara and Tyla I knew they were faking. "Let me out of here." I bang on the door hoping anyone else will hear. I try finding a lamp to light since it went off. "How did the lamp go off." The door to the bedroom opens and I hear someone's voice.

I stumble on something and collide with the person causing us both to fall with me on top of him. "Who is there?" I ask frightened. "The person you fell on top off Allura." Pedro? Please anyone but him. "Pedro?" I ask. "Yes and you can get off me any year now." He gets up shoving me off him. "What are you doing in here?" He ask while dusting himself off and I help myself up.

"I was using the bathroom." I answer. "Then you proceeded to put the lamps off?" I can feel his sarcasm. "No your lover put the lamps off right before she locked me in here." I snap. "My lover? Who Cara? Why would she do that?" Is he being serious. "Maybe because she is low class." That will bruise his ego.

He remains quiet. I walk back to the door and bang and yell, while he sits on his phone. The door finally opens after 5 minutes. "Lura are you okay?" Miguel and Ruby are standing at the door. "Yeah just annoyed I walk out the room and see Tyla and Cara turning the corner and approaching us.

Pedro comes out the room and Cara face changes from smiling to irritated. "Pedro you were inside there too?" Tyla asks and Cara nudges her in the arm while staring at her. "What do you mean too? Did you know Allura was in there?" Pedro asks. "No we just saw you guys coming out of there so we assumed." Cara comes to her aid. What a liar.

Ruby and I walk off with Miguel right behind us. I am so sick and tired of Cara already and now I have to deal with her and her dumb pushover boyfriend. I never thought he could be more of a jerk but he proved me wrong.

Pedro's POV:

She is the most annoying person to walk the earth the slightest thing she does annoys me. She isn't like the rest how she seems to be like

Everytime I thought I have finally got rid off her following me like a secret admirer she comes back. She should know that someone like me would never love her. There is a certain type of man for her and it is not me.
