Loving Gates Part 3

Alright a lot happens in this chapter. Parts 1 and 2 were only the stepping stones.

The real fight....begins...now.

Gamora stomped through the crowds like a raging bull. None of the folks wanted to even be near her. It was evident with the rage that was pouring through her and the people getting out of the way, making a path. Drax followed right behind her. He wasn't afraid of her, he knew she was in a overly, accusative mood. Gamora clenched her fists in anger as she rushed through the crowd, heading west.

Drax and Gamora slowly reached the west. The crowds were lessening as they went further away from town. The broken down houses started to be further apart from each other, instead of clustered next to each other.

"Gamora, are you still angry?" Drax calls out behind her.

"Oh, how could you tell?" Gamora growled. Drax pointed at a kid that was slowly walking away, trying not to catch Gamora's attention.

"See this boy is afraid of you." Drax stated. The boy immediately ran away.

"Sorry, I'm just upset." Gamora sighed. "I just can't believe-"

"You know the body on the table was not Quill's, right Gamora?" interrupted Drax.

"Oh, I...must have overreacted," She says with an awkward laugh. "Then whose body was it?"

"The owner of the hospital," Drax explained, "But I don't get why he is dead." Gamora placed a hand on her forehead.

"Now who could have done something like that?" thought Gamora.

"Drax," Gamora spoke, "How trustworthy are the people that Quill was traveling with?" Drax was silent for a moment. He hadn't spent much time with them, barely anytime, unless he talked to them about their experiences.

"Well, I already know Groot," Drax answered, "Maybe he did it, he is a teenager." Gamora shook her head.

"Groot wouldn't make a huge statement like that, besides he doesn't want Quill dead," She ranted.

"Then what about T'challa?" asks Drax.

"Ala-who?" Gamora questions, "Ugh, just give me a list of suspicious people you traveled with and tell me why you think they are suspicious."

"Geez," exclaimed Drax, "I don't like doing this much work." She glared at him for this statement.

"Right, um, Wanda and Loki," Drax answered, "Loki is no longer traveling with us but he causes mischief and Wanda is a gloom flower."

"Then Wanda," Gamora snarled, "I should have known she was shady. She didn't seem...normal." Gamora continued to stomp her way to the cavern on the west side of the soul stone. Drax tried to stop Gamora from walking but she kept moving. The only thing that stopped her was the wall of the entrance to the cavern. She took a face plant into the wall. Drax laughed as Gamora stood up, annoyed.

"Let's keep moving." Gamora suggested. Drax entered the cave first. The floors looked like they were made from glass. The whole cavern shined like glass but was made by crystal. Only a couple crystal stalagmites hung from the ceiling. The cavern was basically a room of mirrors because the crystal could pick up reflections. One thing that caught their attention was a figure standing in the corner.

"Show yourself!" barked Gamora. The figure appeared in front of them. It was Wanda. Her eyes weren't their normal color. They were a orange, an amber almost. Wanda's clothes had tears all over them. Her teeth now looked like fangs.

"Oh hey Wanda!" called Drax, "Just don't tell Gamora that you almost killed her boyfriend!" Gamora snarled at Wanda and leaped at her. She readied her sword and slashed at the witch. Wanda hissed in pain and used her hexes to push Gamora out of the way. Carefully, with precision Wanda breaks off a stalagmite and throws it at Gamora. The stalagmite shoots past Gamora's cheek like a dart. A red gash appears across Gamora's face.

"Witch!" snarls Gamora.

"Barbarian." smirks Wanda.

"EYAHH!" shouts Drax. He jumps into the fray. He wields his knives like a lunatic. He stabs both of them in the legs. Wanda hisses in pain while Gamora grits her teeth.

"What was that for?!" barks Wanda. Drax stands in between them, one knife in Wanda's thigh and the other in Gamora's leg.

"What? it's a fight, I wanted to join." Drax said, "I didn't know which side to pick so I chose to go against both of you."

"Drax," Gamora fumed, "Could you get your damn knife out of my leg!" Drax took out both of his knives and was flung into the wall. He hit the wall with a thud and got up. He was about to rejoin their battle when they both coldly stared at him.

"Pick a side," they growled in unison. Drax looked back and forth. He soon decided to step out of the battle and watch from the sidelines. He walked towards one of the tunnels and turned around and sat down.

"Woman are so complicated," Drax muttered, then he shouted, "I'll watch even though this will be a wimpy fight!" Wanda used her hexes to fling Drax further down the tunnel.

"Hey!" shouted Gamora, "Nobody pushes my friend around and gets away with it!" Gamora charges at Wanda, her Godslayer ready to pierce Wanda's skin. With a flick of her wrist, she sent Gamora flying into a wall. Gamora picked herself off the ground and ran forward but in a zig zag. If her opponent is this strong, it was time to confuse her.

This time Gamora was able to stab Wanda in the side. Wanda gritted her teeth and cackled. Gamora didn't understand what the witch was laughing about, she was cornered, she could easily be killed.

"Poor, poor Gamora," she hissed, "Such a fragile soul, a monster's girl." Gamora growled at her and pulled her sword out of Wanda's side to stab her again. She was quickly stopped by one of Wanda's hexes.

"TT, no, no, no, you won't be playing the same tricks again," Wanda cooed, "It's quite funny though, Quill never really talked about you at all." Gamora felt herself falter.

"Oh no, she didn't!" boomed Drax. "You're not not gonna take this crap are you?!" Gamora peered to the tunnel where Drax was sitting, she gave him a glare that said 'You're not helping'.

"Well, I may be a daughter of a Mad Titan, but where's you're family?" asks Gamora. This time Wanda falters as she tries to keep Gamora's sword away with her hexes.

"OHHH!" shouts Drax  again, "She got you so very bad!" Drax's laughter could be heard through the tunnels. Wanda's eyes turned from amber to pure red. She slowly pushed Gamora down to the ground. Gamora could feel her strength leaving her.

"Ugh, you think you're better than me? Well I've got friends, I'm guessing you don't have any!" shouted Gamora. She quickly pushes Wanda into a wall. Wanda still had her hex blocking Gamora's sword.

"OHO!" shouts Drax, "She didn't just go there! Are you gonna take that?" Gamora gives him a look.

"Drax," whined Gamora, "Cut it out!" Gamora returned her focus to Wanda.

"Now tell me, where Quill is." ordered Gamora. Wanda was breathing heavily now. The red from her eyes disappeared and returned to her normal brown colored eyes. Her hexes flickered for a moment.

Wanda groaned, "Who the hell are you, and what am I doing here?" Gamora threw her to the other side of the wall.

"Ow," moaned Wanda, "Why does my side hurt?"

"Don't play feigning ignorance with me, Witch." growled Gamora. She walked towards Wanda. She attempted to stand on her feet.

"I'm guessing Quill means a lot to you, doesn't he?" asked Wanda as her voice cracks.

"You..have.. no.. idea." fumes Gamora. She lifts her sword in a swinging motion at the witch. Wanda tries to get of the way but only to get more scratches on her. Wanda's eyes turn red again. She is cornered now. Gamora stares at her with hatred in her eyes.

"I'm sorry!" cries Wanda. She disappears right in front of Gamora. Gamora turns around quickly only to be met with red wisps. Her mind goes blank for a second.

"My home planet?" questions Gamora. She looks around to see that her race the Zehoberei were all running away screaming. One half of the Zehoberei was on one side and the the rest of the race was on the other half. In between it all was a young green girl. Gamora watched as the girl was taken by Thanos. She knew what was going to happen next.

"No!" screamed Gamora, "MAKE IT STOP!" Tears rolled down her face as she re-watched Thanos killing half of her race.

TO BE CONTINUED...

Okay so this took forever and I apologize for that! I had a busy week getting ready for school and I had my b-day celebrated and all that fun stuff. Also the other reason I hadn't been updating was because the internet was down at my place then I got logged out of Wattpad for three days. I seriously didn't get a break. Well that's why I hadn't been updating but I hope you like this chapter and I plan to update soon.

Have a nice day^^
