"I am Groot"
"I am Groot" (I had to do it) I am Groot(enjoy 😋) this will get annoying real fast...
I am Groot (There's a lot I can get in trouble for.) I am Groot (Dad wouldn't approve) I am Groot I am Groot I am Groot (Dad isn't here, he's not. I've learned to deal with it.) I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot I am Groot (Wanda hasn't been able to come to terms with this. Like I have. I feel like I should help her). I am...Groot. I am Groot?(I mean... wouldn't. Wouldn't Mom want me to help others?)
Groot continued to walk back and forth across the first floor of the HQ. Strange hadn't moved in a long time and Bucky and Falcon were nowhere to be seen. Even Quill wasn't here and he usually was the loudest, next to Drax who snores like an elephant.
Groot knew something had to be done. There was no Parker, no Mantis, no Gamora, no Drax, and especially no Rocket to help him. He was alone. He didn't like that feeling, even though as a teenager, he loved his alone time. This time it was too much for Groot.
Making a executive decision, Groot ventured out of the apartment, with no protection, and nobody to help him. He knew that everyone was out and about looking for the "Scarlet Witch" which this moniker suited Wanda well, Groot approved. The neighborhood was looking more run down than it usually was. The bricks and wood of buildings Groot passed by; were crumbling at a average speed. There were especially a lot of hooded figures wrapped in scrappy cloth running around. There was more than last time, Groot had stepped out into the open.
When Groot turned the corner, he spotted ginger hair passing by. Groot was in the market which was swarming with hooded pedestrians. Ginger locks. The only person he ever saw with them in this place was Wanda.
"I am Groot." Muttered Groot, "I am Groot." (Ginger isn't really her hair is it? Maybe brunette?). Groot rushed his way through the stalls and as he seemed to approach, something was in the way. It has to be Wanda, without a doubt.
The ginger head wasn't actually ginger. Groot's mind was playing tricks on him. It was Wanda though. It was her but as a brunette. She glanced at Groot, then disappeared through the crowd.
He noticed that she went down a shady alley way. He remembers that Quill once told him, "Never ever follow a girl down an alleyway. People will get suspicious and...well she most likely will get you in trouble."
This was a different situation though. He knew that Quill was a dumbass at times who made dumbass decisions. He knew not what to do. The crowd continued to swarm like a herd of cattle. There was no way he was going to get through to the other side of the alleyway.
He stretched his arms, up high; where he rooted them to the buildings that were away from him. He pulled himself through the air leading to him making it to his destination.
The brunette he saw didn't look like Wanda. Perhaps his mind was playing tricks on him? Maybe he was really bad at recognizing people? Groot considered it.
The girl turned the corner out of the alleyway. Groot followed. Perhaps she had answers to where his friends went?
When he did turn the corner; there was no girl there. His mind was definitely playing tricks on him. She couldn't have gone far and yet there was no trace of her. He looked in all directions. When he did a 180 degree turn, the girl was walking into a black building that had its windows boarded up. Puzzled by how he almost missed her, he went up to the door.
"I..am...Groot?" He muttered (What..the..fuck?). He decided it would be best to knock instead of intrude, like how Drax and the other members would intrude into his room. No one answered. Groot tried again. Again there was no answer.
"I am Groot!" He shouted (I'm going in!). Groot stomped the door with his foot. He kicked the door several times before it opened. The door came crashing down. Oops. Hope nobody cared. That's when he realized that the place looked empty. There was no one there as far as he could tell. Might as well take a look.
Groot entered...well technically trespassed, but who was paying attention?
He was quickly pestered by a buzzing noise. Then when he attempted to shoo it away, he felt a bolt sting him in the face. Everything became dark for Groot as he fell to the floor.
"That was a little too easy." The figure said. She returned to her normal size. She undid her helmet and landed to get a better view of the creature.
"What is it, Hope?" Pym said over Hope's com.
"Some tree, like creature that was following me." Hope stated.
"I'm sorry did you say tree?"
"Yes Dad," Hope said, "It doesn't look fully grown either.
"Interesting, can you bring it back to base?" Van dyne said. Her mother was with her father too.
"Yeah, will do."
Hope grabbed the tree and flew off.
"Maw!" Corvus shouted. "Tell me what you're doing! Where's Proxima?!"
"She's dealing with an old score." Maw said. "She doesn't want you involved."
"What's the old score?" Corvus asked. He knew he couldn't stop Proxima when she got that way. He knew that she would stop at nothing until business was finished. He might as well know who Proxima was fighting.
"The little red witch." Maw replied. "The one you were fighting in Scotland? To get the mind stone?"
"I remember."
"Proxima feels she needs to finish her off."
"She's here in the stone?"
"Well, half of the universe is stuck in the stone."
"That can only mean one thing." Cull added. He was leaning on one of the tables, listening to the conversation. He was curious to see what Corvus would do.
"The Master has succeeded." Smiled Corvus. The day for him had just become unbelievably better.
